I had never even heard of it before...

When I first heard about it and that it was a good show, my curiosity got the better of me, and so i watched a few episodes. And then I instantly got hooked.

I unintentionally saw a parody of it (Because of an April Fool's joke.) I thought it wasn't real. After I figured out it was, my feeling were just "Another stupid girls show" because I never knew the fandom or anything then.

I vaguely knew it existed, but hadn't really got any idea of how big it was. I was checking out the Yogscast forums one day and saw they had an entire board dedicated to the show. I figured there must be something to it so I checked out the first episode on Youtube. Haven't looked back since

Growing up in the 80's and early 90's, I was put off by the social stigma related to the franchise, and my memory of those COMMERCIALS (it STILL hurts to hear the first part of the theme song). But then I saw Flutterguy singing online and one of my students told me about the folks working on the show, and I said, "well, I have to watch it, now."

So glad I did.

I didnt know it existed for a while. I saw some pictures in my girlfriend's Windows Live Display, but we never talked about it.

First real image that actually caught my attention was a Fluttershy gif on a Call of Duty Forum. I thought it was kinda cute, so I looked up what "Fluttershy" was and read an article on a Wiki page.

Now I thought it was interesting, looked pretty decent enough, but I never thought about watching it, so I didnt really care.... Until I saw the MASS amounts of other Pony pictures around the board. Then I thought "Alright, maybe there is something more to this MLP thing"

Finally: My girlfriend mentioned "Colorful Ponies with Big Eyes" So I replied "Like My little Pony?" And that was when I really started to talk about it with someone. I loaded up Youtube and watched a few episodes, and I thought it was pretty good, so I kept watching.... 2 days later I am thinking it is the best thing in the world, and now here I am.

I never hated on it, or judged anyone for liking it. From the first time I saw an image and read the article about Fluttershy I thought it was alright. I still underestimated it, but not to a strong degree.

When I saw the subcommunity of MLP fans on another show, I was curious to see if it any good. I had to admit, Fluttershy and the other ponies looked kind of cute, and there was an .gif image of Fluttershy's fear of her own shadow which I found adorable. But I could give no conclusion of what I thought of the show before I saw it. However, at the time, I still had crappy dial-up, which clashes with watching videos, so I waited until October or November to get WiFi at my house. Meanwhile, I pretended to hate the show on that forum, when I actually didn't care. When I got faster Internet, I watched the first few episodes as soon as I could.

Heard about it back in the beginning of 2011. As time progressed and I walked through my school each day, I gradually saw more and more guys carrying around the toys (Keep in mind I AM in high school) and having pictures of cartoon ponies on their binder covers. I asked one of my friends what it was and he told me to check it out. However, I didn't check it out until just the beginning of February this year. Took me about 3 episodes to just fall in love with it. Here I am now :)

And judging and hating? Well I suppose you could say I've loved and tolerated all my life. So I never bashed anyone for it. I don't like to be mean! Makes me feel sad. :(

Hell, I still give crap to people for being bronies. It's what I do.

You're all silly fillies. Har-har.

But seriously. I like making other bronies (that I know in real life) feel awkward about their love for the show. I believe the problem is they think watching or supporting a show focused on little girls is taboo. They avoid any confrontation with people who'll judge em'... and I like breaking down that barrier in front of others. "HEY *insert name here* DID YOU SEE THE LATEST EPISODE OF MLP?!"

Hehe, I'm evil. Actually, I make it clear to the judgmental people that it's not a big deal. I'll talk about the show and why I myself like it.

(The user-generated content and community.)

Haters gonna hate, so why not let em'? Instead of avoiding talking about something you'd like to simply because you're in front of another person, just spill it. The worst they can do is beat you and laugh. Who cares anyways? GA HA HA!

I'm le douche pony :3

I've written this with no expression on my face, by the way. Read it as though nothing was emphasized and I stated obvious facts.

Note: The laughter is dry.

Enjoy your tinsel, shag-rag connection time wireless settings mind gone blank lolwatisthis I'm not even doin-.... wuttheheck.

EDIT: Actually...

I heard of it, didn't really affect anything, then someone posted Winter Wrap Up in chat. You know what happened after...

I just thought it was another one of those weird things that would come and go.....

And then some weird 7th graders got into it temporarily (A couple were good friends with me) and I was all like, "Whatever, I'll give it a go"

And I actually introduced myself. With the pilot. :o And I didn't hate it, and I had procrastination time to burn, so I just kept watching...

I wasn't really a hater so to say, but I did get the wrong impression because of 4chan sadly. After I was insisted on watching it I fell in love after episode 2. Its been almost 3 months since I started watching.

Sooo... Skeptical I guess you could say.

Well when I first heard about MLP:FiM, I heard about it on another forum where people who were well out of the target demographic were talking about it and loving it. I've always been someone who appreciates the value of animation that plays to multiple audiences, with shows like the Powerpuff Girls, Spongebob, Dexter's Lab, etc. so I knew I would like it from the beginning long before I even actually started watching (kept on putting it off for some reason)

I didn't think about it at all. I thought it was a show for little girls and I didn't even know about the new generation and all that. When I first heard about bronies I didn't hate and I didn't judge, I thought it was ok, but I thought to myself that I never will become a brony myself. Then a friend of mine showed it to me... And I were lost :P
