IK this is mostly show related, but IMO cats are best pets hands down, cause yeah dogs with training can do a lot of cute stuff, but the spontaneous of a cat has always crack me up, that and they are the best pets for apartments xD

I've always liked Gummy best. Maybe it's because of how much I like Pinkie, and Gummy being the perfectly random pet for a pony like her.

Honorable mention to Winona – she's a really underrated pet, and I wish we had seen more of her. And I also have to mention the cutest animal in MLP who probably doesn't quite qualify as a pet – Hummingway.

Best pet out of the Main 6 has to be Gummy.

My top three in no particular order are Tank, Opal, and Gummy.

Tank because he's loyal, Opal because she's a cat, and Gummy because he's Gummy (no further explanation required XD).

If I’m judging it by best owner/pet bond then   it’d be Tank, followed by Gummy. 

As for the pet itself though the best pet award goes to Owlowiscious cause owls are cool as heck.
