Things that used to scare you as a kid.

When I was little I hallucinated a lot :P

I saw demons swimming in the skies and jet black wolves made of shadows, and sometimes I'd look at a wall and see something else... I had a reputation for walking into walls back then  ^_^  I'd walk into a room and see someone I didn't know sitting on the couch or bed, then I'd blink and they'd be gone. Walking up and down the hallway was always terrifying to me   I'd often see monsters charging me or little things running around on the floor and following me wherever I went. Some mornings I called mom to come and pick me out of bed and carry me to the living room because of the monsters hiding under the furniture where I couldn't see them. If they saw my feet touch the ground, they would've jumped out and eaten me!  :yay:  My hallucinations always got ten times worse in the dark, so I was also really scared of that. Nowadays I love dark places, and I always go out at night :P and when I do hallucinate, which is just in the dark now, I rather enjoy it.  :proud:

The entire movie 'Labyrinth'... I can't remember the movie overly well, but I remember enough to know that the theme and style of it in general scared the hell out of me.

The opening to The Goofy Movie.  Actually, a lot of the scenes in The Goofy Movie.  Goofy always sort of creeped me out and there are a bunch of scenes with emotional turmoil and interpersonal conflict.  I'm not afraid of it anymore, but I find watching it deeply uncomfortable.

LOL

Me too!

That opening scene with the Goofy scream and lightning used to freak me out as a kid.

As for the general post, my thing was Party City during Halloween.

Nope! You would not get me in there.

Growing up, I was scared of the DIC Entertainment logo (the one with the kid in bed and that creepy disembodied voice that says "DIC".)

It scared me a lot because I was little and that logo was really ominous.

Thunder. I still don't like it now but it absolutely terrified me as a kid.

Also, horror movies. I was in my late teens before I had the courage to watch many of them but I love them now.

When I was little, I was afraid of a lot of things.

Dogs was one of them, my neighbour had a huge black lab, and one day when I was walking home from school it chased me all the way up my driveway (Which is fairly long, and uphill), after that I would hide whenever I saw a dog, even if it was smaller than a cat (I got over that fear about 3 years after the incident, and now I like dogs, but I'm more of a cat person.)

Something else that scared me was heights, and I don't mean being in a place that's high up and looking down, I mean I would be afraid of the thought of being high up, escalators and elevators scared me, I would be terrified if I knew the building I was in was more than 3 floors, I couldn't even stand up on the slide at the playground.

Another thing I was afraid of for a while was sleeping and death, mostly because I somehow couldn't see the difference. I mean, I knew that sleeping wouldn't kill me, but for some reason, every night I was afraid I would die in my sleep, and I wanted to stay awake forever to make sure that I didn't die. And knowing that people were able to die of old age scared me, too.

I watched a ton of scary movie that I shouldn't have. Basically being alone or walking towards somewhere dark and creepy would give me the jitters and I'd think a killer or something would pop out.

And dolls. Those are creepy.

I got scared from many things  :(

Here is a list :  :squee:

One of my Plush Dolls, i always thought he would become alive at night and would walk to me, it also didnt helped that one of my friends was a jerk and at one birthday party, just trough the doll in front of me after pulling a string on the doll( because the doll could play music ) than make the lights out, runout of my room and closed the door  >_>  Yep, i had great friends.

That on Episode from X- Factor ( or Beyond Belief ) where a women is cursed by a barber and sees herself as a monster in the mirror. In the entire episode you dont see once what she sees in the mirror. But right at the end, when you see her real face and she actually looks normal but then grabs a mirror and looks into it...MY GOD! I was so scared as a child because at this point i didnt expect that you would really see her as an monster...im still scared to watch that episode again. No more...

Also, Chucky scared me as a kid. And the moonlight which often reflected on the ground in my room and it looked for me as two giant eyes would look at me...

Also, darkness in general.

Back when I was little and I watched Dragonball Z, I was terrified of Frieza. When he transformed the first and second time his voice sounded weird and frightening to me. I also always had that fear he would come out of the TV to get me.

Those worms from the Tremors movies. I was on the couch with my mom, and they thought I was sleeping. Well, they were watching one of the movies, so I kind of watched it as well. I ended up being scared shitless to the point where my parents had to tell me the worms weren't real over and over.
