There's not a whole lot of characters in anime I could ever like enough to pick a 'favorite', I feel too many characters in anime/manga fall into specific tropes that make up their entire personality.

 

A character I feel like doesn't do this too much is one in my favorite anime, Attack on Titan. That character is Armin.

While he does kinda have a trope of 'Why am I so useless', he seems to quickly learn that he is at least competent in battle but he has great leadership abilities which I think matches his character immensely. This complexity in his personality and it being actively shown is why I like him most above other characters in the show, especially over Mikasa and Levi, who I personally do not like much.

Karuta Roromiya, cute and that good move she did in the gym.

It's probably obvious when you see my avatar but Nanachi from Made in Abyss has become my absolute favorite anime character.  Their design is unique and pleasant to look at. I can also kind of relate to their personality too, especially the not wanting others coming very physically close thing.

My favourite anime character is zoro. But I really like the character of Hiyori (Komurasuki) especially at the start of the Wano arc when Zoro was performing Sepukku and she was playing music with a guitar like music wearing a traditional Kitsune mask and Japanese outfit. I loved that scene.

Rem from Re:Zero She's the best human (well, sort of human) waifu, period. She has a lovable, kind personality, and she's also incredibly determined in everything she does. When she cares for someone, there's nothing she won't do to protect them, even sacrifice herself.

Satou from Happy Sugar Life I know she's got more than a few screws loose, but she does have a good side. She cares very deeply for those close to her (there's a common trait among all of these characters. Notice it yet?), to the point of murder, burning down an apartment building, and a double suicide where at the last second she protects Shio after they jump off of said burning apartment building together. A lot of weird, dark shit happens in that show.

Tamaki from My Hero Academia I can relate to him more than any other character I've ever seen, in any form of media. His shyness, his lack of self confidence, his deep love for those close to him, everything. He's basically me, except he's actually good at something, and he doesn't totally suck at talking to people. He's also less apathetic.

Tohru from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Tohru is overall just really fucking cute. She somehow manages to form a close (though one-sided at first) bond with Kobayashi in the span of a few hours, after which basically everything Tohru does is for her. Even if she doesn't always know how to express her feelings like a human, she does really care about Kobayashi.

Shoko from A Silent Voice She's another relatable character, but not nearly to the extent of Tamaki. She tends to put the needs of her friends and family before her own, and she endures all kinds of pain in an attempt to make them feel better. She also always fights to see the best in every situation and in every person, which is an incredibly special trait that I admire.

Most of the Jojo's characters I like since most are bizarre and unique. But if I were to say which ones are my favorite it would be them. Overall though I love most of the JOJO's, 

Rohan: I like his selfish personality and at the same as a passionate writer and artist. He's a bit of a anti-hero and that's what I like about him.  He put his own artwork in front of everyone and that's what makes him hilarious.

 

Kira: One of the only main boss who does not care for power nor status. He's the only smart and calculative villain compared to the rest, That's what make Kira stood out from the rest. Hence that's why they had a hard time taking him down. He was also able to keep his cool as well. I like Kira for being classy. Pucci is the same as Kira too but I like Kira better.

 

La Squadra Esecuzioni: Yeah hands down, the only best group villain out of all the JOJO. They're clearly are not here for jokes and they all mean business. Each of them are powerful enough to make each battle like a fight to the death. 

 

The Joestar: All each have their own unique personality, but what I like the most about them is since how they share the similar personality as the next joestars. Like how we can see the resemblance between Joesph and Joksue (father and son). And the rebel hotheaded side from Joseph when Jotaro established that too.  Giorono however, resemble  more from this Dio but his righteous side from the Joestar.
