Favorite villain/antagonist so far?

Yeah...gotta give this one easily to Discord, how can he not be best villain? I really hope they dig more into his and Fluttershys relationship this season

I'd say.. Either Discord, Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, or Nightmare Rarity.

 

Reasons

 

Discord-utter chaos. Also John de Lancie

Chrysalis- well, the design. Also, This Day Aria. I loved that song.

Nightmare Moon-well, the first pony famfic I read was Past Sins.

Nightmare Rarity- I never read the comics, but when I heard about this, I was like "That sounds weird." Then I saw an image of her and then I was like "I really like the style of her. She's still a unicorn, and still very beautiful."

Before I cast my vote, I was pretty sure I'd pick the two EVERYBODY would pick! haha

Really, I thought it was pretty obvious that Trixie and Discord were the best. 

Discord was so random. Like the world would end if he and Pinkie pooled together their randomness

And I just like Trixie (although she was a complete jerk in her second appearance). I thought her cameo in Equestrian Girls was one of her best moments

I think Discord by just a little bit, because I loved the episode where he first appeared, and I think his design and personality have been made very cleverly. Trixie for the lower level antagonist, I dunno why, I just like her best.

Discord by a massive long shot on that!

Mostly because he's voiced by John De lancie and is almost a straight ripoff of De lancie's most famous part as "Q" from star trek.

Plus he's a big time supporter of just being yourself and defender of the "bronies".

 

Small time.. hmm Trixie.. mostly because she's the most fleshed out of the lot.

Even Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon haven't really... been there... they're just generic bullies... Trixie started as just a boastful pain in the side, and even escalated to far worse before being humbled truly.

Still stuckup as per her personality, but she more or less tried...

 

I do wish they'd bring Gilda back for another go, or at the least delve into the griffin's a bit more. Is there really a kingdom for them?... or are they really just that rare... Same for Zecora though.. We really need a Zecora episode IMO

Favorite villain would be a tie between Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis, and favorite lower level antagonists would probably be Ahuizotl and Trixie.

He is a quite intelligent villain, kind of a joker and and a tease, but really. I don't like most of the villains in this series, and Discord rightfully owns the title of my favorite.

Discord, of course! He's just so much fun, and he has a great personality.

 

As for "lower level" antagonists, I went with Lightning Dust. It was great to see her and RD play off each other. Hopefully she'll return in the future; I feel that her character still has a lot of potential.

Discord is the embodiment of chaos and DISHARMONY. He is the perfect villain and antagonist for the main six/elements of HARMONY. He could have easily taken over equestria, but he came up with a whole plan just to have fun while doing it.

My favorite main villain is King Sombra. His name is actually Spanish, if you didn't know. "Sombra" directly translates to "Shadow". I liked that, as well as how menacing he is. Many fans say he didn't do anything, when actually, he was moments away from enslaving all of Equestria. Aviators, if I remember correctly, partially made their song "Shadows" about Sombra. I say partially because that's not the main reason it was made. He was just a cool villain, but with too little episodes.

 

My favorite minor antagonist, if it counts, is The Cockatrice. Why? Mainly because The Cockatrice is part of many Mythologies. It was directly related to Medusa, and it even earned the rank of SCP-1044 if I remember correctly. He, again, is just a cool antagonist.

I'd have to say my favorite villain so far is Mane-iac. I just love her character and the fact that she was one of the only one that had fabulous underlings. Yeah the changelings were awesome but shape shifting villains is a little over done in my opinion. Plus Mane-iac reminds me of a femme version of The Joker. And I'm biased like that since DC is one of my favorite fandoms.

My favorite primary antagonist is King Sombra, and my favorite secondary antagonist is Ahuizotl. In the past, I would have voted for Discord and Trixie, but neither of them are true antagonists anymore, as they are both reformed to some degree. 

 

King Sombra is my favorite primary antagonist due to the fact that, aside from Discord, he is the most dangerous villain the mane six have had to face yet. He was mysterious and his history was interesting. He was one of the very few characters who was actually evil, even among the antagonists, and I am happy he was defeated. 

 

Ahuizotl is my favorite secondary antagonist. He is an interesting and amusing character that is greatly reminiscent of adventure movies of the Indiana Jones variety.

Discord was my favorite while he still was a villain, so he's still getting my vote. Chrysalis comes in second there.

 

Trixie should've been left as an antagonist. So I'm voting for her too.

 

Also, shouldn't the poll be updated to include Sunset Shimmer, the Mane-iac, and some of the other antagonists we've gotten so far?
