web When Do You Dislike YouTube Videos?

I don't like it when people collaborate with others in videos; especially if their reaction videos.

They tend to focus less on the reaction itself and get caught up in themselves. Like, they'll start talking anout irrelevent things and stuff the viewer didn't come to watch.

 

I think i'm having a hard time explaining this because it's more of a personal thing.

 

I don't agree, but that's an interesting viewpoint.

For some reason I was thinking about songs on Youtube, and I couldn't imagine why you'd be against musicians collaborating for a song.

Even if I find a video to be poorly produced, I still like it if the information helped me out. If it's so poorly made that I can't get anything out of it, I usually just stop watching.

If the the video did its job ( :entertain, inform, etc. ) its ok to me.

One more question, do you think it's okay to dislike a video of a bad vocal cover of someone who's not a singer?

I've run across a few of those. While I admire the bravery (or perhaps stupidity ) of the people who upload them, they sound awful. I avoid disliking those so I don't look like an ass.

 

Do you think this is necessary to avoid?

If its 'bad' in a good way(makes me laugh in my expense or others  ), I'll "like" it. if not, they must learn from there mistakes.

I try to remember to like videos that I really enjoy to support them, but disliking videos is something I don't do very often at all. I save that for hate filled videos like homophobic videos, videos where the person asks for likes makes me dislike the video immediately and anyone that is overly loud and annoying. So pretty much any big let's player. : P

I rarely ever dislike videos. Most of the videos I like are beautiful MLP animations or awesome music that I would put on my MP3 player. I don't like Rucka Rucka Ali at all. I'm subscribed to BartBaker after the 'I knew you were trouble' parody, but ever since that his other parodies have really unsettled me, and I'm probably going to end up unsubscribing.. I don't like Sam Pepper at all.

I have only just recently started to use the dislike button. I only use it when it is on a topic I don't like or I am watching a video that is saying some crap about stuff that is good in my view

I tend to be much more reserved in disliking Youtube videos than liking them.

For creative works (music, animation, etc.) I avoid disliking very small videos (100 views or less) because I know how disheartening receiving dislikes can be for someone just starting out. I don't mind disliking videos of creative works with more views; the more the views, the less hesitant I am to give a video a dislike if I don't like it.

 

I don't have a problem with disliking opinion videos that I disagree with, though.

It's not mandatory to "like" or "dislike" a video.

 

I also only have 1 problem with YouTube videos, and that's when there are multiple advertisements during the video. I'm ok with it only have 1 advertisement, but any more is just too much.

I don't like short videos. I know that technically people are more likely to watch 2-minute videos than 15-minute videos, but I'm not one of those people. If you're someone who uploads once a week at best, then make it worth everyone who watches time. 2 minutes is like a bite of an appetizer at a restaurant. Surely you can put more into it than that.

 

I don't like clickbait. People will tag or address others in order to get their views, whether its hate or whatever. People will use womens' breasts or naked animé girls. Smh.

 

I don't like prank videos. Enough said.

 

I don't like tutorial videos that waste everyone's time by going off on tangents or skipping massive steps through jumpcuts, apparently completely unaware of what the important bits are, having all sorts of stupid distracting stuff, etc. 

 

I don't like bandwagon videos. Half the stuff uploaded to YouTube these days is about new feminism. I'm bored of it. I've heard all I need to hear, they're crazy, can we move on to other things? Gamergate lasted painfully long and no one would shut up about it. Of course game media is corrupt. ALL MEDIA IS CORRUPT. How is this even news? 

 

I don't like update videos which don't state exactly what updates they're talking about. I don't want to watch video of you just talking about what you had for breakfast.

Have someone's face on the corner of the screen and call it a "Reaction video".

Any video with the Royalty Free Ukulele.

A slow and painful tutorial where the guy never gets to the point.

Some fetish videos if I ever stumble upon one.

Vine & Cringe compilations (Not because of the videos themselves, but because the uploader is literally uploading someone else's stuff without permission, which can be illegal in some shapes).
