Truly a sad day. I never did listen to his music much or seen many of his film work, but his performance in Labyrinth sticks with me and I will always remember that. I will have to watch that movie again, though I may cry while doing so.

Man. We've already lost one music legend from cancer two weeks ago, and now it seems to have taken out yet another music legend. Without a doubt, cancer is quite literally the worst thing that could ever happen to any human being, including famous people.

Tragic, truly this is. Bowie was the star of the glam rock age and the godfather of the punk counterrevolution of the late 70's and was an inspiration for some of the biggest pop stars of today. It's truly grim that such a prolific and talented artist had to go so soon. I listened to all of "Diamond Dogs" on my morning commute.

I've never much listened to his music, but I like the guy.  His performance in Labyrinth and that Dancing in the Street music video with Mick Jagger brought much joy to my heart.

I never much cared for most his music I heard (Space Oddity is pretty good, though) but when I realized he just released an album, I most certainly have to respect that. It certainly must not have been easy for him, but he made sure to push one more out for the fans.

May David Bowie rest in peace. What a legend; a great singer with an original style. I never really listened to his music, but it's sad to hear that such a big name in music has passed away.   So I'll miss him, nonetheless.
