I'm very interested in what they'll do with the CMC now that the crusade is over.

 

I've long wondered "Once they have their marks, what can the writers DO with them?"

 

Now we're going to find out!

 

Will it be the start of them growing and changing as characters and finding their own paths? Or will they be completely pointless/useless now? They sure didn't do much after they got their marks last season, though I'd like to thing it'd because the creative team had other things to deal with. 

 

And while I'd like some focus on Celestia, I think it's too little, too late...

 

Oh, and more mythological creatures/monsters please!

Here's what I would like to see:

-Shining Armor and Cadance's new foal

-Pound and Pumpkin start to grow up a little.

-Sea Ponies debut.

-Scootaloo learns to fly.

-A storyline in which 6 other ponies have to step in for the Mane 6 to defend Equestria

-Some of the storylines from the MLP comics.

-More character development for Big Macintosh.

-Storylines revolving around background ponies such as Lyra, Bon Bon, Vinyl, Octavia, Derpy, and Dr. Whooves.

-Backstories involving what happened to Applejack's parents

-Introducing any known relatives of Fluttershy.

-Some realistic life lessons being taught such as learning to say no to drugs, the importance of exercise and nutrition, having to do homework and not slack off, etc.

It'd be nice if Shining Armor and Princess Cadence got some characterization but I think that might be asking for too much.

We'd definitely need to see the CMC start their new journey. It'd also be nice to see how SS and DT relate to the new CMC.

 

Starlight Glimmer... She'll be her narcissistic self. It's just that her narcissism will be aligned differently.

What I'd like to see;

 

A continuous plot thread.  Maybe hints of strange goings-on in the far north, building slowly up throughout the entire first half of the season, culminating in the return of Sombra.  Then the second half of the season the mane 6 trying to find a way to defeat him, with a battle against him in the finale.  (It's not going to happen, but a guy can dream.)

 

The CMC adapting to their new role in life. (but not too much focus on this, just a sample of what their lives will be)

 

A Celestia episode.  Surely she's due one by now?

 

A little more exploration of the past and present relationship between Celestia and Luna.  (in conjunction with the above perhaps)

 

What I don't want to see;

 

Discord. (Or at least only in very small doses, it's not that I don't like him, but since his reformation he's been spent.  His last couple of outings were pretty lackluster.)

 

Surplus characters being introduced and then flogged constantly through the series, I expect Starlight Glimmer will turn up at some point, but there's no need for her to become central.  Flurry Heart will inevitably show up, but hopefully just for long enough to sell some toys then off into the background.  As for Sunset Shimmer, she seems perfectly happy where she is, so let's not cause her any unnecessary upheaval.

-A Black Lady plot where the powerful new baby is kidnapped by a villain, magically grows older, and fights the Mane 6.

-An episode that addresses the responsibility of magic.

-The Mane 6 fail but it resolves itself.

-Spike's parents.

-Diamond Dogs return and Rarity is on the hunt for something elusive to make a dress.

-Fluttershy and Spike episode.

-Twilight Sparkle invents a popular game to teach about friendship but it become overly competitive.
