So @ aka Pathfinder CS is a fry guy. Myself, I'm obviously a tot girl. So, what's your favorite kind of fried potato delicacy, or other potatoey dish?

All potatoes are good, but potato casserole, hashbrowns, tater tots, and plain fried potatoes are some of my favorites.

Fries are mine, whether it be crispy thin or soft and big, waffles, crinkles, discs or "home.". I do, however, like tator tot's older cousin, hashed browns, as my favorite breakfast side.

Potatoes are probably the food I feel I can have almost any way: Baked, Fried, Roasted, Boiled. Covered in curry, cheese, bacon, gravy etc. Mixed with cabbages, broccoli, sour cream and chives. Lightly salted? The possibilities are endless!

 

There was this one dish in particular I remember ordering at a restaurant while vacationing in Paris that consistent primarily of fried potato slices and mushrooms with sauce. It was the most heavenly thing I have ever eaten, and to this day I have not been able to properly recreate it in any cookbook. Perhaps it was not meant to be..

 

I'll get it though, one day.

The way potatoes come out after sharing an eight hour sauna with a pork roast is really nice.  French fries (whatever variety) and baked potatoes (I eat the skin) with sour cream are also great.
