The last time we saw Suri Polomare was Rarity Takes Manehattan and we haven't heard from her since, apart from a flashback from Season 5. Will she make a return as a full-blown antagonist when she would reveal her true self and whatnot after Coco Pommel left her. You get the idea. As for Lightning Dust, her first and last appearance was the Wonderbolts Academy in Season 3 after having been ejected by the Wonderbolts from her reckless actions. Who knows if she'd return as a Shadowbolt which would... basically warp her mind, maybe?

 

What do you think for the two, and how will the two return as such for future MLP episodes?

Suri Polomare seems to be teased more despite not being as popular, she was in both a McDonalds toy line(replacing Applejack for some god forsaken reason) and had a noticable presence in Friendship Games, so I'd say there's a chance.

 

On the other hand Lightning Dust has been MIA for the most part, she was replaced with a recolor of herself in FG and has since only appeared in the "Seige of the Crystal Empire" comics along with Iron Will and the Flim Flam Bros.....only to be forgotten about completely by the 3rd comic...on the other hand Big Jim really seems to want to see her again, so I'd say there's a chance for her too

I despise Suri with a passion, but in a good way. I don't want to see her redeemed because she makes a good Moriarty for Rarity.

They are awesome, so yeah, I hope they come back. Suri is hilarious and Lightning seems like a good pony that can be easily redeemed, and i'm a sucker from redemption arcs, no matter how overdone they are in this show already

Lightning Dust has a ton of potential. I remember in the original ending(which was cut for time), she was simply demoted, and admits to Dash that she was wrong with how she went about things, which, considering everything before then, just felt out of left field. 

 

I think I could see a redemption episode working with Lightning Dust, but at the same time, I could still see her building up a lot of resentment after 2-3 years. I know many don't consider the comics canon, but it had Lightning Dust clearly hating RD after what happened.

 

Still, if they ever bring her back, I hope they take this little scene into consideration

Uhm, she made a background appearance in a Gift for Maud Pie. Who knows if that'll mark a return or not

I would really like to see Lightning Dust return sometime in the future.

But hopefully still as an antagonist.

With how many reformations their have been in the show, we need more antagonists, and Lighting Dust would be a great character to take on that sort of role in my opinion.

Suri was more of a villan that Lightning Dust. I think Suri will return but Lightning Dust won't. Suri could have an episode where she learned about friendship. Idk. Isn't that like, the point of the show?

I actually would like to see Lightning Dust return. I think she would be really good material for a "reformation" episode, as she didn't seem like a bad pony at heart. Of course, as others are saying, she might be resentful at this point, but I still would like to see her grow as a pony and maybe become a friend to Rainbow Dash.

 

Suri, meanwhile, was a jerk. If she returns, I'd hope for it to be as an antagonist. She was pretty fun to hate, so having her face off against Rarity again could be enjoyable.

 

I don't know if either necessarily will return, but I think there's some potential for both, especially Lightning Dust.

Lightning dust is my favourite pony and i would love for her to come back, but if she did I dont think she would be a shadowbolt because if you remember Friendship is magic part 2 the shadowbolts were not real. They were purple dust. I dont think were going to see lightning dust any time soon

Suri can stay away, but I would love LD to return.

 

Sui was not in any way evil, she was just your typical character trying to get ahead in the world by any means necessary. In fact many would heavily encourage that sort of behavior since it is just seen as a dog eat dog world and in business (or fashion) only the strong (and devious) survive. Suri was pretty despicable, but Rarity set herself up... as a big designer she should have known better.

 

Lighting Dust on the other hand needs another episode. She wanted to be a Wonderbolt just as much as Dash, she just went about it poorly. She was not evil, she just failed to see what her recklessness was doing and how it was effecting others....or perhaps she did not care... those who want to be the best sometimes blind themselves to everything else in that pursuit. I honestly felt the ending was a bit rubbish since she had so much potential...  sure she was going about things the wrong way, but there was no need to toss her out when they could have just pushed her back and continued to work with her and train her. She needed guidance and patience, not to be drummed out.

Technically, Lightning Dust did return although that was in the comics where she was recruited to cause confusion in the Crystal Empire in Radiant Hope's plan of reviving Sombra, but then her role was more of a minor villain who got written out past the halfway point. If she were to return in the show, it should be related to Rainbow Dash's status as the newest member of the Wonderbolts. No doubt Lightning Dust is jealou that Rainbow made it while she got kicked out for being too reckless.

 

Suri Polomare, as someone already mentioned, made a cameo appearance in season six, but for her to make a return would have to involve yet another visit to Manehatten. Then again, she could show up in Canterlot provided they can come up with a good enough reason for her to be there.

Not neccessarily; They did a small snippet in the Wonderbolt academy book about a cadet that Dash knew there that Obsessed over her family's pressure on them to Become a wonderbolt and succeed in their expectations of them, to the point that they were stressed out and only focusing on that.

 

 

They could have something like that with LD returning and being trying to get revenge against RD due to her family's expectations of her, with the moral being Akin to Diamond Tiara's one about not worrying so much about parental expectations (And vice versa with parents towards their kids). That would be a good moral. Hell, if they ended up making LD and wind rider related in some way it'd be the perfect way to bring the two of them back as antagonists and make LD having a reformation work (by having Wind rider be the freudian excuse for LD's personality)
