health Exercise Frequently?

Whirlwind

Recommended Posts

No. I've been told I should (from a health standpoint, not how in shape I am... but that needs work, too... >.<), but it's June. It's HOT outside. I have no business being outside at this time of the year.

I certainly am sick of being out of shape, and feeling like I do, though.

I go to the gym twice a week and spend about an hour and a half each time. The first one is usually cardio (elliptical machine and aerobics), and the other is light weights. It's not much but just enough to keep things from sagging.  :rarity:

Most often I play a game of cricket every week and I go surfing whenever I can, which is unfortunately rare though because I live a far bit inland.

I do. I got to my college's gym about 3–4 times a week to workout and exercise. It's also a great time for me to clear my head, not worry about the problems I have in life as I'm too busy focusing on doing the next rep/set, et cetera.

I lift weights, run and row in order to stay in shape - and I use my bike almost every single day.

While I train for many other reasons, health and getting in good shape are pretty good ones too, and since lately I have significantly more free time due to summer school being not as intense, I got plenty of time to train. My daily training routine is mainly divided into four categories

Endurance and Resilience: Physical fitness through running, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, etc

Strength and Burst: Traditional weightlifting with freeweights and machines

Skill and Speed: Martial Arts - mentorship with a 2nd gen Jeet Kune Do Sifu plus out of class conditioning

Mind and Will: Qigong and Meditation

  • 2 weeks later...

Other than going on a daily walk, I don't exercise as much as I would like. Just get ever get into a routine with it. I actually commented on a thread wanting advice for how to make exercise more enjoyable, I should follow my own advice from that thread. XD

I usually exercise 5 times a week but only in the summer. Yes. A lot of people would think I'm skinny because I exercise a little, but I'm just born skinny. Like super skinny. Like stick skinny. Just kidding. But I am super skinny.

During the week I make sure to walk at least once every day (weather permitting of course - gotta love that UK climate :s)

On top of that, I go running at least 3 times a week - handy that one of my colleagues has a qualification in running coaching, so go out with him around once a week or so too.

Good to see that some bronies exercise  :D  lol I don't know

Aside from my training distance run workouts, I like running in general

(since I am an active distance runner for college)

It tends to fluctuate. I try to at least get a good amount of walking in each day. It's hard to exercise after long work hours, and especially in this summer heat, but on a good week, I'll go to the gym 2-3 times for at least a solid hour, and I'll ride my bike 2-3 times a week too to get in some extra cardio. I don't exercise regularly per se, but I am doing my best to make it as much of a lifestyle as I can, and I'm certainly MUCH better than the couch potato I used to be. :P
