Optimist or Pessimist?

I'm definitely a pessimist since I always tend to imagine worst-case scenarios almost whenever I do things. It's not really enjoyable but I really can't help it as I feel like it comes naturally.

I'm generally a little more of a pessmimist, because real life doesn't quite come out to an optimist's expectations. Plus, I find excessive optimism a tad more annoying than excessive pessimism.

I’m… a contrarian around pessimists, so for a long time I thought I was an optimist. 

But I did some thinking lately and came to the conclusion that, while I prefer to think happy thoughts, to be positive, and to staunchly avoid having long conversations for the sole sake of complaining—I am wholly a pessimist.
