Send Starlight Glimmer away? I know they won't let that be a permanent thing, but pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase let it be a permanent thing. Give Twilight a new student, a new pupil. A pony that isn't Starlight. I will dance with joy.

I assume Twilight can stay Starlight's mentor in some way even if she lives apart so it's not a full graduation. That is what I wanted even before season 6 (that the sitsuatiin in season 6 was temporarily, I still enjoyed it), but we will see if that is the case. I just like change but also that Twilight still can have a sort of teacher role and that Starlight is relevant but season 6 was kind of special season for her.

Well, we know that Starlight sticks around or at least is still in the vicinity based on the second episode so she would at least visit if this pans out. She isn't being written out of the show. I'm guessing if Twilight pushes her out of the nest, Starlight will be sent to the Crystal Empire.

Honestly; I was NOT expecting that and I find that to be a clever twist. Starlight isn't graduating; she's being sent out for new real-life lessons. OOOOO, this should be good!

So Starlight is being sent off to perform lessons away from Twilight.

I guess I'm okay with this.

It will at least give an excuse for why she isn't in certain episodes, unlike what we got in season 6.

Plus it might mean she isn't going to become a member of the mane cast.

I wanted this in the first time place. A real-life friendship study is what i wanted, get out of that prison called Twilight Castle and live a real life. Screw mane 7 status and Alicorn status, Starlight doesnt need that in the first place, she is already an awesome character, the whole shoving her into the mane 6 is a mistake. She doesnt need pretend to be mane 7 to be relevant to this series because she had her own group of friends (Sunburst, Trixie, Thorax and Discord), she works better with them, just make her had connections with Twilight and Spike and go around find her awesome friends, YOU ARE NEXT, CHRYSALIS!!!, you are received a notification, Starlight invited you to Reformed Group, accept or decline?

They need do that in the first place, but it not too late. Just let Sunset or anyone else be a mane 7th, i dont care about that crap in the first place, a humble Twilight's Student is good enough. Why some people want Starlight to be Alicorn or think that will happen? Princess status is a curse, look at Twilight and Celestia, how many dialogues and appearances they had in S6? 

I know a lot of Starlight anti-fan are screaming in happiness, i am sure they want Starlight GTFO of this show or at least minimize her presence and i can finally at peace. Both of us will be happy.

Please, staffs, drop that crappy "making a mane 7" or "making an Alicorn" if you had that crap in your mind, drop it, it not too late. If she can get at least 2 episodes per season, i am happy. Time to expand Starlight's Reformed friends group ;3

Or, better yet, DON'T give Twilight a student at all. Because that story concept is lame and a waste of time.

Probably will happen. I halfway predicted this from the Starlight and Twilight DVD set only showed the premier episodes from season 7. I figured starlight's role in the show would be significantly reduced.

Much depends on "Where is she sent?"  Crystal Empire? (Flurryheart & her boyfriend are there), Appaloosa? (would like to see Little Strong Heart), back to her town?  Many possibilities & I look forward to seeing how it is decided

I think TWaBA added a few new friendship dynamics. Happens in real life, and even on the show.

And yet Spike seemed to be pretty good friends with Starlight throughout parts of season 6 and also with Thorax. Why not he join Starlight's group? And to add to that, Big Mac and Ember!

My initial thought was, 'Probably not'. But you know, it makes a lot of sense as the entirety of the Changeling Kingdom would be new to this whole love/friendship thing. Having an ambassador of sorts in Starlight would be absolutely crucial. I kinda like that idea.
