mega thread What is your sexuality ?

Heterosexual.

I must say, what I have always loved about this community is its ability to look beyond everything that throws judgmental people for a spin. It shows in its members, that this community is very open and accepting. That is a very important attribute to have, especially in a community comprised mostly of young individuals.

This is a rather tricky question to answer.

For one side,I'm bisexual, meaning that I can feel attracted for both genders, but then it comes my asexuality, keeping me from feeling sexually attracted for any of them.

But if it exists a big emotional bond between me and the other person,I can end developing feelings for that person on a romantic way, basically considering myself a Demisexual.

It's a very strange case for me (in my mind anyway! :P )

My whole life, until a few years ago, I never once questioned that I liked women and ONLY women. I was your typical hormone-filled, girl-crazed adolescent in middle school and all through freshman year of high school. But I've really begun questioning whether I'm bisexual. I don't think I've ever had a crush on a guy (although I can't say I've had a strong attraction to a girl in years), but I feel interested. I find myself attracted to certain men (mostly the young good-looking types you see on magazines lol) but not in the same way as women.

I feel that I want it to be true, that I'm bisexual. Is that weird? But I swear that's how I feel! How many people would say that they hoped they were gay! I think I am, but perhaps not as strongly inclined as I am with women. Like on a scale of 1-10 , I'd say my general attraction to women is about 7 or 8 (a 10 back only a few years ago) and to men about a 5 (but I'm far, far more picky in my taste so to speak).

Anyway I don't expect anyone to psycho-analyze me but feel free to share your thoughts on this. I just felt like writing this all out because the whole thing is terribly confusing to me.

I don't even know. Over the past year I've said that I'm lesbian but I'm becoming interested in guys too. So I guess bisexual?

Seems like we have similar "problems" ;)

Perhaps you're bi-curious?

Of course, there is one really good way to find out...

Sounds to me that you know you're bisexual and you're trying to deny it, lying to yourself about it for whatever reason. Acknowledging it would be a relief but perhaps there's something else in you telling you to suppress and ignore it. Best I can figure.

That's basically how I was for a time before I just admitted to myself that I'm bisexual. I was curious about it for a long time... very curious. Finally, one day, a male friend and I had sex. Prior to that I tentatively acknowledged my bisexuality, but after that happened there could be no doubt about it or excuses otherwise.

Not saying you have to go that far in order to claim the title, so to speak, but don't be afraid to be true to yourself. You'll only frustrate yourself otherwise.

I don't think I'm denying it. I'm fostering the feeling if anything. I think it's more the idea of a long term relationship that gets me. I'm definitely bicurious and really want to, well, try it out, but it's hard picturing myself in a long-term gay relationship. So I guess that's what's stumping me about this.

Makes sense, and that's something I can certainly understand. The thought of a long-term, committed relationship with somebody of either sex is off-putting to me.

I'm bisexual, with a slight preference towards females. I just link with them better personality wise. I consider the difference between pansexual and bisexual the lack of a preference or lack of different standards between genders.

I am a bisexual, but I prefer to hang out and just have romantic times like kiss and stuff with males, and with females ofcourse the same thing but I feel a more sexualy attraction towards them. I am basically saying that it would be easier to get with a girl than a guy for me, but there both awesome :D.

Heh, I remember back when I asked you what your sexuality is and you were like "I'm straight.." even though uh our conversation told another story.

Jokuc finds it very interesting to observe this thread.

(Not going to bother finding my original post to edit it, so I'll just redo it)

I'm panromantic-asexual, with a preference to guys, trans or not. Speaking of trans, as my bio states, I'm MTF transgender, so that's pretty neato I guess.

Asexual, but I don't really play to type from what I can gather. I'm a pretty average cis white guy with no obvious social deficiencies.

I gave sexuality and relationships a fair shot. I've had experience with men, women and GQ people. I was engaged once but I ended it a few years ago.

I just can't get into it with any legitimate desire. I've seen sex as useful, to reward people, to establish an image of myself, for social reasons. The act itself though is tolerated, not really enjoyed. Something of a performance.

I did want to want it, but in the end I just resented everything. So I pitched in the towel and accepted being ace, although I still don't tell anyone offline, except for one group I'm a part of, far away from where I live.

I'm a pansexual. :o

Despite contrary belief. No, pansexuals do NOT have sex with pans.

For anyone who isn't familiar with the term Pansexual it's basically you're open to every gender or gender identity. Essentially a pansexual doesn't restrict themselves to just the two binary genders (Male and female). The best way to sum up pansexuality is the phrase "Hearts, not parts."

I'm pretty bad at explaining things so pardon me for that. Haha.
