I have problems sleeping, unless i don't hear a dramatic song that makes me remember my childhood i get nightmares, that i never wake up unless my sister puts viking metal at maximum in my ear.

An example is this song:

6)Real dream.

7)Wake up at five because of those bloody birds, spout profanities linked to said birds then roll over and return to slumber.

1. Pack up my books and things. Journals go into their shelves, school-issued textbooks at the foot of my bed and my homework into my bag.

2. Wander around a bit. Think. Anticipate the day ahead.

3. Enter the washroom, brush my teeth. Put away my washcloth from my earlier shower, which has since dried off.

4. Find my dog, pick him up and take him with me.

5. Take my throw pillows off my bed, get changed into my pajamas. Fold old clothes.

6. GET DOWN TO SLEEPING YO

This is a bit tough to put in a concise manner, given that the entirety of what I do during the day is what I do before I go to bed. In any case, I'll take it from dinner onwards.

 

-Shower and generally do bathroom-related activities such as change into pajamas and brush teeth

-Surf dem webz (a process so intricate and convoluted for me that I could probably make a thread about it)

-Between 10 and 10:30, contemplate going to bed

-Muster up sufficient willpower to tear myself from the iron grip of the computer monitor

-Take multivitamin

-Get in bed

-Clear mind

-???

-Profit

1. brush teeth and other general hygiene stuff

 

2. play video games or watch a movie while making/playtesting magic decks

 

3. get in the bed

 

4. grab my ipod and post on forums, or grab my DS and play some games. Usually for an hour or so, unless I get in the bed at like 1am or something

 

5. daydream, think about really deep philosophical shit or advanced science, and/or relive stupid things I've done in my past and wallow in regret for about 1.5 - 2 hours as my overactive ADD brain prevents me from actually falling asleep :(

 

6. enter a delirious, half awake/half asleep state, in which my thoughts generally become quite strange and, more often than not, sexual in nature. These dreams also occasionally follow somewhat cohesive storylines that can last for several weeks. I can't really tell how long these last because I'm completely disconnected from the real world. And I forget most of it. I'm also lucid about 75% of the time during these. It's trippy as all hell, and I absolutely love it. I get to play the best virtual reality game ever made, every. single. night. :D

Grab a snack, go upstairs to my room, watch TV for until I get too tired, and then just... yeah. I go to sleep.


It's ironic how I fall just to get back up again...

Brush my teeth, pee, check the forums and any text messages from anyone one last time before shutting my phone off for the night, get a glass of water, change into some PJ's or just an oversized shirt and then....fall into bed and pass out after 5 minutes. :P

Here's my average night.

  • Go to the bathroom
  • Put the kid back in her bed
  • Make sure the pellet stove is off and refilled for the morning
  • Put the kid back in her bed
  • Take a shower and brush teeth
  • Put the kid back in her bed
  • Read a book
  • Let the kid in bed with me because at this point I have been broken
  • Sleep

Slowly but surely she is getting better at sleeping in her own room. Soon enough I will be free from waking up on the last 6 inches of my queen size bed.

  • Go to the bathroom

  • Close the curtain on my window
  • Put on my bluetooth headphones and eye mask (the only way I can get any sleep with my suitemates)
  • Fire up my 10 hour file of brown noise on my phone

On a normal night:

  • Get a drink of water
  • Go to the bathroom
  • Go to the dining room
  • Turn on the lights so I don't panic (shines the light into my bedroom)
  • Turn on the lights in my bedroom
  • Turn off the lights in the dining room
  • Shut the door
  • Turn off the bedroom lights
  • Attempt to sleep while my allergies get the better of me.
  • Finally go to sleep half an hour later after putting myself to sleep thinking about stuff.

I brush my teeth, and usually browse my phone for a little while. Unless I'm working that morning and have to go to bed super early, then I just go to bed instead of browsing my phone.

I brush my teeth, brush out my hair, visit the Tidy Bowl Man, take 1/4 mg of Melatonin to help me sleep, apply Carmex to lips so they don't get chapped, get the bed ready by tucking the blankets in on all sides, turn on electric fan, get undressed and hit the sheets.

I always have to check my blinds and the walls before going to sleep. It's an odd habit, but I've been doing it for years. It just puts me at ease for some reason.
