#PCMR. I don't dabble in consoles. Way too limiting in any way for it to even be a viable option. At all.

I play for the most part Strategy games, preferably RTS games. Everything from War For The Overworld to Dungeon Keeper 2 to Stellaris.

But in my heart there is a LOT of room. Plenty of room for gems such as Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Dune 2000, Populous: The Beginning, Metal Fatigue, M.A.X., Overlord, Freelancer, Command & Conquer: Generals: Zero Hour, to name a few.

The amount of games I've played are so numerous I've forgotten how many I've played. I've stopped keeping track, to be honest.

Currently I am playing Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, Stellaris and Z: Steel Soldiers.

I mostly play Survival Horror and Platformers but i do play pretty much all Genres. I usually dont play online though. Also i cant play online at the moment.

Well, different franchises spark my interest in gaming, mostly Video Game Series, where there is a lot to collect from, from the early ages of Video Games to the present day. ( so that you can see the Evolution )

I like the Playstation more, even though i currently own only older consoles. ( the Sega Mega CD 2 being the newest ) I like console gaming more than Pcs, because not every game i want to play is for Pc and i cant get Emulators to work so i gave up on that.

Recently i only play DC Comics Games ( ALL Dc Comics Games from all Imprints even ), Lego Games ( because DC had a crossover Game with that ) and also Mortal Kombat Games ( because Dc had a crossover with that too ).

Im not trying to find someone to play with, even though that would be really nice ( i really want to play " Golf with Friends " or " Uno " with someone ) but with my current Computers, im simply not able to.

My all-time favorite Games? Uh...the Worms Series, Mario, Silent Hill, Resident Evil,Sonic, Jak and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, Music for the Playstation, Obscure, Extermination, Hellnight, Clock Tower, Fatal Frame, Metal Arms, Cel Damage Overdrive, Batman Returns for Snes, Superman- The Man of Steel for Sega Mega Drive,Game Gear,Master System ( just to name a few recent ones ) and so much more. I dont really have all time favorites, there are just a lot of games that i really really like and a lot of games i only find okay, but if i would count the franchise i have played the most, it definitely would be Worms. Worms Armageddon/World Party and Worms 4 - Mayhem to be exact.

I'm pretty casual when it comes to gaming. Even if I go a little further than casual on some games, I'm still not playing them as much as many people are. My mind doesn't allow me to stay attached to a game for too long. Too many other things to do. Anyway, the main genres I play are simulation, RPG (typically lite ones like Pokemon), and action/adventure (less violent ones like Zelda and Kingdom Hearts).

I most definitely prefer console gaming over PC gaming. Even though The Sims, one of my longest played franchises is only good on PC, and CC and mods are a great deal of why. I just much prefer the overall simplicity and pricing of consoles. It's so much less stressful for me. Besides, the snobbery of the PC gaming community does not help matters at all. As if console wars are not ridiculous enough, then there's the PC Gaming Master Race. The gaming community is so full of toxicity.

I pretty much only game on Nintendo and Sony consoles. Even though they're far from perfect. Xbox is just too much about the kinds of games I really don't play. Sony is a bit, too, but at least I know I can get a good share of Kingdom Hearts and anime games on my PS consoles. For me, PC really only has The Sims (and The Sims 4 is a flop), so the PC isn't even on my radar for new games.

I've been playing a lot of The Sims 3 lately. Although I think I'm starting to get 'bored' with it for the time being. That's a good thing because class starts next week and we can't have any obsessions with video games going on. There's also Kingdom Hearts Union Cross which is a terrible, terrible mobile game that I have been suckered into. >.< But what can I say, the game is chalk full of "This should be better" and drama. I love drama (aside from console wars and PC snobbery). I love talking about games more than I do actually playing them. Although I have played that game a whole lot (but not anywhere near as much as some people). Probably more than any game post GCN era.

No. I don't play multiplayer much. I do like to play Mario Kart online, but that's about it.

Favorite games are The Sims 3 and 2, Animal Crossing GCN and New Leaf, Pokemon Crystal (and pretty much any other Pokemon mainline title aside from R/S/E and Sun/Moon, R/B/Y are also horribly outdated, but were fun in their time), The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Paper Mario 64 and The Thousand Year Door, Kingdom Hearts II. I used to have a more concrete list than this, but it got muddied as the years went by.

My favorite gaming memories are probably tied to Animal Crossing GCN. It was just such a shocking game for me. A game that was about creativity and interaction instead of fighting and reflexes. It was right down my alley. Plus I got my sister playing, too. I remember we used to fight over playing it, and the very last time I got grounded in my life was over that very thing. Lol.

Some of your all time favorite games, moments in gaming, and etc.

I play every form of game except fighting, and sports games, I really don't like those. My favorite genres are RPGs, MMORPGs, RTS, TBS, racing, stealth/assassination type, and life simulation.

The release of a console port of Sims 4 caught my attention really quick. I preordered that without hesitation, and without regret (despite already owning it on PC).

Personally I think the Xbox One is superior the the PlayStation 4... despite them being almost the exact same. And I think PC is superior to console, to an extent.

On PC I have been playing a lot of World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Warcraft, Stardew Valley, Battlefront 2 classic, and Minecraft. I play World of Warcraft with @Catsle and my childhood best friend who isn't on MLPF... right now we're trying to play a legacy server so everything is how it was back in 2005. I am the only one to test it so far, and nostalgia is overwhelming. I play Hearthstone quite a bit with my childhood best friend, him and I are pretty equally matched and games against him are always pretty intense. I recently bought the original Warcraft RTS game cause despite being a Warcraft fan for 10 years I had never played it... the game is pretty fun. As for Stardew, I have a multiplayer mod that works perfectly... you can't even tell its a mod... right now I'm playing that with @Catsle and my childhood best friend. Battlefront 2 is more of a nostalgia trip than anything... its pretty fun and some of the modded maps I have are amazing. Like one that allows me to play on all Battlefront 1 classic maps... plus ground to space battles. I don't really play much of Minecraft, I have some sort of mod that makes the graphics look very pretty, which looks amazing (What it looks like) I forgot to turn off clouds in this picture so that's why they look glitched.

On Console I haven't played much in awhile, but I have been addicted to Slime Rancher. I also occasionally play Minecraft Xbox One, GTA V, and Call of Duty with my friends.

I have a lot of people I play with... but more people to play World of Warcraft with Legion or Vanilla is always a good thing.

My favorite games are pretty much everything I've mentioned... thought there are a few more like Terraria and others I can't think of off the top of my head. My favorite moments in gaming. As for favorite moments, I have had a lot. Ones that I remember the most fondly is my first experience in World of Warcraft, 10 years ago. I also have plenty of memories playing Wizard 101, and my early days of Xbox Live.

Pretty much anything from pencil and paper to generic shooters. I am not a fan of strategy, sports, or fighting games ( UNLESS I have people to play the fighting game with but that is a rare event)

What's going on in gaming that sparks your interest?

I am looking forward to seeing the next big series come out now that a lot of the popular ones appear to be fading.

Xbox or Playstation? Better yet, console or PC?

Yes. Both? Why limit oneself?

What game(s) have you been playing recently?

Skytim and several TellTale games

You trying to find someone to play with?

Nah dont have the time my studies make gaming times random and short

Some of your all time favorite games, moments in gaming, and etc.

Mass Effect, BioShock, Vampire the Masquerade and KOTOR1/2

Shooters, RPGs, and platformers, for the most part.

I'm currently playing Witcher 3, American Truck Simulator, and the Megaman X series.

PCs. Consoles are too limiting and the current gen consoles are just weak PCs. No thanks, consoles are supposed to be convenient. They aren't.

Also, the community is very helpful and we stick together, it's not toxic as some people would attempt to convince you otherwise, in fact from what I've seen more console gamers are toxic and tend to show undying loyalty to companies that don't give a crap about them. And then the motto "PC master race" is a joke that some people take way too seriously.

You always say the PC community is snobbish and toxic and yet you never give examples of such, and you only say you've encountered toxic PC gamers here. Can you explain to me how the community as a whole comes off as toxic? I don't appreciate being generalized.

Western RPGs, FPS, generally stuff with a lot of action. Back in the day I used to be pretty decent at Soul Calibur, never went to any tournaments though.

I'm actually playing through Dark Souls ATM and having "fun". Really, it's not hard, but can be frustrating.

I also dabble in a little bit of dungeon crawlers and old-school RPGs, like the original Fallout and Diablo and such.

I'm bad because I listen to music with swears.

I am primarily a simracer, but I also like FPSs, and a few RPGs here and there. I like being able to play Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim on the same system, as well as Doom and Doom on the same system, as well as the best version of Goat Simulator. (I have played both the PS and PC version BTW.)

Awesome, you also like GSG/RTS but have you ever played Hearts of iron 4? Any of the Total War Series?

Also I recommend trying out the Star Wars Mods for SSE:R

PC is where it's at, it gets better with how fast hardware is progressing. It really helps drive down the prices of older hardware that is already way ahead of consoles.

Yup! I mean just look at the recent release of Ryzen, AMD is proving to be a better competitor for Intel, and AMD being viable means more options for building a PC and more options is always good. And then of course Nvidia's release of Pascal last year, a big step ahead of the 900 series.

The PC market continues to innovate.

I play MOBAs mostly. Though any multiplayer game could work. Looking forward to the upcoming new Sonic games :^) PC by far. Been playing LoL mostly. I do have a lot of friends to play with. Most of the Sonic franchise games are my favorite, though there are a few obvious exceptions, other than that, LoL, WoW and CS 1.6/GO have lots of memories in them for me.

Simulation games, RPG or really anything that catches my attention. I'm definitely not a fan of action, shooters or sport games.

What's going on in gaming that sparks your interest?
I'm waiting on Pokemon Ultra Moon, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga & Bowser's minions and any kind of The Sims 4 expension/game/stuff pack.

Xbox or Playstation? Better yet, console or PC?
I think I play more games on PC, but I love my 3ds dearly. Not a fan of either Xbox or Playstation, I don't even have either.

What game(s) have you been playing recently?
Pokemon Sun (trying to fill my Pokedex), random internet games and I'm trying to get back into The Sims 4 but it's not working out so well. :D

You trying to find someone to play with?
am trying to find friends for Animal Crossing: New Leaf. So, uhm, you know... message me if you are a 2ds/3ds user?

Some of your all time favorite games, moments in gaming, and etc.
The Sims 3 (but I cannot find a complete download anywhere and I'm too broke to buy everything seperately so I cannot play it anymore. :(), Pokemon X, Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story. I have a lot of games that I like, or even love. But I cannot consider any of them my "all time favorites".

Console gamers *are* toxic. There's no doubt about that. There is plenty of brand loyalty and a bunch of hypocrisy. (Most notably, a fan of one company will criticize another company for something that both companies clearly do. This is pretty much all console wars are, and it's dumb.) However, I don't think you realize that the PC gaming community is very toxic, too. You talk as if the "PC gaming master race" is a joke, but based off of the attitudes that constantly pop up in any PC topic anywhere, I don't really think so. "Jokes" are never entirely jokes, there's always some grain of truth behind them.

Obviously, I'm not saying all PC gamers are like that. But I've seen it numerous times. Topics about mere preferences between consoles and PCs turn into "PC is objectively better in every way". And then you get further down the hole and you see people saying stuff like "Lol. I can emulate everything on PCs, consoles don't even need to exist anymore".. While I see plenty of childish attitudes in console fandoms and I'm not even beginning to deny it, I don't see it quite to this level. I don't see people saying "Lol PCs are trash. No reason to game on them at all". But I see plenty of the reverse.

Pretty much every PC discussion, and I mean you don't even have to look far at all is always about how PC is just objectively better than consoles. Those topics just make me sick. There is *always* an air of superiority in *any* PC vs console discussion. As toxic as the console fandoms are, when it comes to the topic of PC vs console they're typically saying what I'm saying: "I prefer the simplicity of consoles". I'm sure, as childish as those fandoms are that some might go further, but I am yet to see it that I remember.

I'm not claiming that the console fandoms are not full of annoying people that also can't even begin to comprehend that other people have other tastes than them and that those tastes are valid, but I am claiming that there is a very real reason why I am so annoyed with the PC side of PC vs Console discussions. I literally can not open up a single topic on the subject anywhere and not come across this snobbery. The gaming fandom is just really, really crappy, and PC gamers have a part in this. The snobbery I experience going into any of those topics really makes me want to drive myself further away from PC gaming.

@Envy You are really hard to talk to. I asked for examples of elitism. And, no, saying "PC gaming is objectively superior" is not elitism, because it is fact, and most PC gamers only bash the ignorant console gamers that spew bullshit they don't know a lick about. And the term "PC Master race" is satire, it was coined for the release of The Witcher in 2008, poking fun at the attitude of a vocal minority of PC gamers at the time.

Also, you overpaid for a gaming PC with parts you didn't need. And then when my friend offered to help you build a more affordable and sell some of the parts back for refund, you refused and claimed he was being and "elitist".

The fact that this thread has already been hijacked by PC people constantly having to justify why their preference is so much better is just one of many examples to why I avoid PC gaming like a plague.

Anywho, gaming is a huge part of my life. It is my favorite hobby and I take a lot of passion in it, always have. Gaming gives me something to look forward to all the time, whether it be new games or just enjoying what I have. I would always get so excited for certain games and couldn't wait to get them, so much so i would read magazine articles back in the day all the time about just one game. It made me happy.

With depression and anxiety crippling me these days, that is more difficult to do, but I still try to hold onto those feelings. I play mostly on Xbox One now, switched over to 360 back in 2011. Had one at launch, it got the red ring of death, got a PS3, then got the 360 later and switched my main focus on that, been that way ever since with the One now. I have so many games on it that it makes my head spin. XD

I have mostly been playing Final Fantasy 15, Gems of War and Gears of War 4 lately, I would be playing Forza 6 but I am waiting for Forza 7, and then hopefully I can get the X as well. Beyond that I am looking forward to hopefully MW2 going backwards compatible soon since I never got to experience it in its hayday, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds releasing on the One and the Sims 4 console release. Also Train Simulator if that one ever releases. :|

I will post more in this thread at some point, wanted a basis to go on.

I play all kinds of games, so I can get enjoyment out of most genres. Right now I mostly stick to PC games and retro gamss, but I have a Switch that I use sometimes. Nothing in the industry is really sparking my interest right now, but hopefully that'll change soon.

I play a lot of FNAF, Mario, Animal Crossing if I have the time, and various games just meant for marketing but are still a little fun anyways.

My favorite console is the Wii cause it doesn’t have too many buttons to mess around with but I’m getting used to playing on my PC now, too. Sometimes PC games have way too many buttons but at least it doesn’t require motion controls (which tire me out very easily sometimes).
