It all depends on what the outcome would be.

If it's still the ridiculously funny and awesome MLP, then I'll keep watching. Although, I still would be sad if they change some of the references like Derpy.

If they change it just for the moneys and then aim it completely at little girls where it was soppsedly sopposed to be, then I would rather sue them for changing it. And also raise an objection.

MLP is one of those things that was greater than what was intended for it. If it were to be shoehorned back to its original intentions it would lose its soul.

 

MLP probably would have been a hit regardless of what the characters were because the show is deeper than the vast majority of shows targetted for an adult audience. Depth and character depth is missing from most tv these days.

It would be totally okay if they changed nothing at all! But if they changed anything, or made it back into G3 ponies then it would be all over. OK, truthfully I'd probably keep watching the show at first, but, and this is a big but ( wait... HA, look what I did there!!!! ), if Disney bucked it up, and, knowing Disney these days, there is a 99.9999999999999% chance that they would buck it up, I would, to my undying sadness, stop watching the show. Thankfully, barring going completely bankrupt within the next year or so, there is absolutely no logical reason that Hasbro would or should do such a despicable thing as sell MLP to Disney, considering (1) it is not only probably the most popular and critically acclaimed program on the Hub, but also (2) it is one of their oldest and most popular merchandise brands, especially with the female demographic.

The show would end up losing a lot of stuff that makes it what it is. Disney is a great company, but there is no way they could create what Lauren Faust did. MLP FIM is not a show Disney is capable of making, in my opinion.

Honestly, I hope to God that Disney does not buy it. If they did buy it, chances are they wouldn't touch it, but they might cause an earlier cancellation. Ever hear of a show called the Spectacular Spiderman, after Disney bought Marvel they gutted the show and completely disregarded the massive following it had. As long as they respected and continued to follow the Hub's original premise for the show, and continued making improvements and respected their fanbase, I'd bet the show would get even better.
