I was halfway through it when my internet died and had to go and reset the router. When I refreshed the page to restart the video, it was gone!

Fortunately, alternate links were briefly available (not anymore, tho), so I managed to finish watching it.

It makes me think at some point in the S8 planning the premiere was supposed to be this past Saturday and someone at Hasbro didn't get the memo that it had been pushed back. Aren't music videos for episodes published on the Monday after the episode has aired?

Normally within a week or two, yeah. That's a possibility come to think of it.

Agreed, over time i've really started digging the new designs they gave the Changelings over time.

It was an official video as Hasbro released it on their YouTube channel until it suddenly became private. I'm sure the video will be made public again sometime down the road as I'm curious to know what it contained--I didn't see it before it went private.

Probably Hasbro released it earlier than intended. I've lost count of how many times that has happened.

I'm curious what her backstory is. Is she the product of two of the new changelings? Or is she a nymph from the old brood that transformed with the rest of them?

How did all those baby changelings (the ones still in their eggs and those that were still in the nursery) transform anyway? I wouldn't think infant changelings would have the maturity yet to understand the concept of sharing love and kindness.

Maybe we'll find out in the premiere!

Luckily, I managed to find and download the video for private viewing.  But if there was one song that I would use to accompany what I saw, it would be E Ala E by the late Bruddah Iz (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.

I feel bad for all of the abyssinian, zebra, buffalo, and diamond dog fans who don't seem to be represented in Twilight's new school, either. Especially the abyssinians - with there being hippogryphs from the movie, you'd think the felines would be present as well.

I guess rigging up new characters for all those species would be a lot of work, however.

To be fair you kinda have to draw a line somewhere in regards to new characters, or else you'll end up with the same issue that the Sonic franchise has/had: too many characters and loss of focus on the characters that matter. FiM already has the Mane 6, Starlight, Spike, and the CMC. That is eleven main characters! How they try to balance that out with the students will be interesting to see.

I couldn't tell, were there one or two Hippogriff/Sea Pones? I saw one, the Yak, the dragon, a Unicorn, an Earth Pony, a Changeling ... was one a Gryphon?

Yeah; there was a griffon in the group. IIRC he's blue and has the bird talon-like front claws that other griffons in the show have.

To say nothing of all the background characters + the Legends that have now become part of present-day, all of them having to be juggled due to the fans asking to see them.

It's too bad Hasbro never greenlit spinoffs other than EqG from this show, which is mostly it's own thing, even. They have enough developable characters in their roster to make two new spinoffs! XD

It already had enough spinoff material since before Twilicorn, so why we are getting the end of G4 without a spinoff other than EG es beyond me

well, and I'm kinda peeved for, yet again, no bat poneh  . That earth pony colt could have easily been one of 'em bats. But then again, these students alone increased the roster of recurring characters quite greatly in such a short time. They even get to have an important role (all of them), in one of the leaked episodes, so more of that is to be expected

I saw the music video and I have a feeling the song is from the first 2 parter of season 8. I really like the idea of the school and the students. Reminds me a lot of my own college experiences in a way! I wrote about some of my college experience here A Stroke Of Endurance film in case anyone is interested. I keep hearing some Bronies complaining about "Forced Diversity" and I can see where they are coming from since in recent years I have seen shows that do force diversity where they randomly add a character simply because they are another race,gay or disabled and do so in a way where the "diverse" character really has no personality or reason to be there other than "Diversity". If there's no character development or plot relevant reason to add a new culture or identity to a show then that's a red flag they forced it in. I'm all for diverse representation but only if done properly and I think from seeing what the show has already done all of those characters have really good reasons to be at that school that will connect back to previous seasons. I think the school is perfect for Twilight! I'm sure season 8 episode 1 will explain how the Mane 6 balance teaching with other responsibilities. My own teachers and professors often had extremely busy lives that included traveling to other countries etc and I firmly believe this made them fantastic teachers because they would go out into the world and bring their life experiences back to the classroom with them for our benefit. If you do nothing but sit in a classroom all day teaching you are not learning for yourself. I think the Mane 6 will continue learning and teaching just fine. I can't wait for season 8!

btw it might be Hasbro uploaded the video too soon and will re upload later. It's on youtube on other brony accounts.
