How do you plan to cope with FiM's end?

So yeah, yet another FiM's end thread. This time however, is about how you plan to keep FiM's flame alive afterwards. Rewatch episodes to death? Watch new content? Buy any kind of anniversary releases like they are doing with G1 right now?

What I plan to do is keep going to places and take some of my own horse toys to keep participating in EQD's Ponies Around the World, that's the easiest and one I've been doing for a couple of years or so. In case it ends, I'll just upload them all in Derpibooru. Another thing I'd like to do is start making art. Dumbass younger me wasn't interested in it, so I have no skill in it. Oh well, better late than never, but I have to seek a good chance to learn something that will likely be just a hobby. I want to draw to visualize my own OCs, as I don't want to depend on others doing so. Yet, I don't wanna just draw, I want to draw something I find satisfactory, mainly influenced by some of my favorite artist like racoonkun, uotapo, mauroz, jonfawkes, and johnjoseco. Both beautiful humanized EG art to cutzie wootzie horses. And maybe try my hand at a fic or two, as there will be next to no chance for contradicting canon at that point :D . Of course, giving G5 a try may count as well :dash:

Simple. I'll continue to watch the show and movies. I'll read the comic books. I'll go here, and to Equestria Daily. I'll write about it. If I have the chance, I'll continue to participate in community projects.

Nothing will change for me.

This sounds about right...

Just as long G5 is good as the G4, then I'll cope.

I'll continue to watch Equestria Girls--it's still a part of generation four--until that comes to a conclusion--and it will. As for the show itself, I'm likely to comb through the most recent seasons and re-watch some favourite episodes just for kicks and in case I missed something that was so obvious the first time.

I'm going to check out G5 and probably remain active on these forums and writing fanfics. I'm still in the Pokemon fandom after all these years, don't think I'd suddenly stop liking MLP just because this gen ends...unless G5 will be terrible, which I don't think it will be. Even if it is, I'll still like G4 and probably rewatch it.

I'll probably rewatch it from time to time. Maybe I'll finally find time to catch up on all those comics. Most likely, I'll just move on, as for a couple years now I've stuck with this show more out of habit than anything, even though I still frequently enjoy it. I'm at a point where I can deal with it.

That depends on HOW they end it, how many questions they plan to answer, and how they treat the characters' final episodes. Since this is the final season, the mistakes they make can't be fixed in a "future season". Unless they plan to make more comics of this gen, it could help!

Nothing excessive. I just let go.

Familiarity with the cyclic nature of life allows for acceptance with ease. Any form of resistance is not only futile, but also creates unnecessary amounts of struggle.

Struggle is a choice. This isn't necessarily related with entertainment, but exemplar to life in general.

I don't think it might change all that much. Yeah, it's freaking awesome and made my life better, but just a show in the end.

Who knows, maybe G5 won't be atrocious. Or maybe it will be rly good. Either way, I don't see the ride stopping for quite a few years, and by then, I will probably be an entire different person.

If G5 is as good as G4 (or better; yes, that's possible), then I'd say pretty well.  Otherwise, well I'll just have to hope that Rick and Morty is still on.

If G5 is good, I'll watch that, because it would carry FiM's spirit on.

But whether I end up watching G5 or not, I'll stay in the fandom. Just because FiM ends, doesn't mean that our fandom has to.

When I first joined the fandom, I thought the show had ended a long time ago, only to be pleasantly surprised that it was still going! I'm sure the fandom will still be around long after FiM is over. It's gained too much of a following, and people will still discover the show, even though it ended a while ago!

We'll still have plenty of people creating new G4 content, too. Plus, unrestricted creativity since no new canon will come out!

I won't stop liking the show just because it's over, and I know plenty of people agree with me.

There are shows I liked better that have been canceled at earlier points or cut too short, so I can live with MLP being finished. In other words, the show reaching its ultimate end won't affect me. Rewatching episodes that I really enjoyed during leisure time is most likely.

Ultimately, it's a television show, and there's already a ton of other stuff out there to fill in whatever void this leaves behind, assuming it even leaves a void.

I'll rewatch G4 for a long time to come. I'll be a part of the fandom, hopefully still writing fanfiction, reading the comics, and listening to the music (both official and fan-made).

And I will absolutely give G5 a chance. I might not follow it very closely if I end up disliking it, but I will still give it a look from time to time because I'm willing to have faith in Hasbro. MLP FiM, Littlest Pet Shop, and the occasional anime (Sailor Moon ftw) have taught me to give these so-called "girly" shows a chance rather than just write them off immediately due to gender norms.

When the show ends, I'll probably re-watch the series, catch up on some fanfics, listen to more MLP musics, keep coming to this forum, post in fan clubs, go to more Brony meetups, and go to at least one more convention. Yeah, I think I will stay in this fandom for quite a while, after it ends.

I mean, of gen 5 is coming, it wouldn't be so bad. Different story if it was the actual end... Ooh boy. The comics probably would stop too... So... It really just depends. If mlp ends as we know it, a slice of life show, with action every now and then, and goes back to the old crap they put out, shame. But if those G5 leaks were real, i really wouldn't worry. Other than those weird race changes.

The same way I coped with Be Cool, Scooby Doo's end.
Continue to talk about it, re-watch favorite episodes, and wait for the next incarnation to either trash or admire.

As long as the fandom is still around, all good. The fandom I was in previously is really dead now and I'm heartbroken. That's why I'm here, trying to get into something new. You always have to move forward.

I’m sorry to hear that. Hopefully we’re here to stick around.
