I recently realized that every generation has an invention that everyone gets excited about, but in hindsight, is actually really lame. That's why the phrase "It's best thing since sliced bread!" is a thing. We laugh now, but once upon a time, you couldn't get bread loafs that were pre-sliced. That's why people were excited when that became a thing. For me? The lame invention I got excited over was foamy hand soap. I saw it when I was in early high school years; a soap dispenser that turns liquid soap into foam that you can clean your hands with. And I thought to myself "Wow! That's way more efficient! Now you can save on soap and get your hands clean!" But looking back on it now, that was a really lame thing to get excited over.
