Are we tired of Flam and Flim yet?

In all honesty, I didn't find the Flim Flam bros that appealing, but I didn't dislike them either. I thought they were so-so characters. Their best episode was Viva Las Pegasus though when they used their scamming skills to take down a larger threat, and one of the best things about them is that they're non-reformable! But they're not necessarily evil either, they're just greedy! But then again, give enough power to them, they could destroy Equestria for money perhaps! But I don't think they're gonna go that far in this series.

So my point is, have we had enough of the Flim Flam bros? I thought Viva LP was a good enough end to their story arc! They own a casino now! I guess Friendship U was pretty good too, but it seems like after Viva LP, every Flim Flam bros episode is gonna turn out to be the same. What they did in Best Gift Ever was exactly the same as Friendship U. I think we're pretty much done with them. Other than a slight cameo somewhere, I think it's best the writers stop with them so they can focus more on other unfinished arcs. Wouldn't you say so?

If the show needs another greedy character for an episode, just use Iron Will again!

This one is a bit tricky...

I like the characters a lot and their songs, their first three episodes, in seasons 2, 4 and 6, made up a nice progression on their schemes.

What I didn't like about their inclusion in S8 and Best Gift Ever is that no new ideas were explored with their characters. They're just redoing this marketing scams over and over, their sweet talk skills can be used for many other purposes as we saw in 'Viva Las Pegasus'.

What I mean is... Yes, I'm tired of how they keep coming with the same plot over and over, but I'm not tired of the characters themselves as much as the obvious scam plots.

Yeah, that's a good point! If the writers can think of something new and unique for them, sure, they can come back! But if they're gonna do the same thing over and over again, then make way for other characters that need development and conclusions to their arcs!

Oh god yes, it's the same schtick with them every time, on top of an awful song wasted on them. I have no idea why the writers love using them so much, they're the most one-note characters in the whole series

I've been tired of them since their second appearance. Granted, that was more because the writers decided to remove everything even remotely interesting about them and turned them into generic conmen.

Which is a shame, since they were probably the most interesting "villains" the show had IMO.

I have a soft spot for them. At this point I dunno if there’s much new to offer in their stories, but nonetheless, I still find them fun to watch every time. Essentially, I’d be fine if they appeared again, but I also won’t complain if they go away.

I'm not a fan of them, but I'm still waiting for their ultimate scheme that puts Equestria in danger, the one shown in one of the S5 finale timelines. Also, I won't mind seeing them joining the bad guys team in S9 (if there is one, of course).

I wouldn't mind seeing them again, but them doing the same thing over and over again gets boring. As a business man, you have to learn to do things differently and play your cards right... if they were smart they would have been doing things differently.

Well, at first, they were fun to watch, but after seeing the cycle repeating over and over again, I was ready to nuke my laptop the last time I watched their episode.

They need a fresh start or to plot something really evil and interesting.

That's very different, because the CMC had the same objective for 5 seasons, but their episodes had distinctive plots and solutions. With Flim and Flam the plot is what has become repetitive.

To add on what @DonMaguz said, the early CMC episodes weren't that great so they had to change up their episodes and find out how they worked best. CMC episodes started improving as early as S2 with Sisterhooves Social

Their shtick has become predictable and they don't appear to have learned their lessons aside from 'Viva Las Pegasus' where they actually did succeed. If anything, I see them as a minor nuisance whose only purpose is to give Applejack someone else to bounce dialogue off of who aren't her friends. At least their human counterparts haven't been overused though they do suffer a similar problem and could get worse before it gets better. Flim and Flam need something new that can make them appealing instead of reusing the same routine or perhaps the time has come to retire them?

Yes, yes and yes. Their debut episode was okay but everything else after it just sucks. They're shallow, predictable, and even their songs are getting annoying. Maybe if they were written with less obvious objectives or even appeared less often, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with them. But as it stands they're both some of my least favourite characters in the show

I noticed that they are appearing more in the later seasons. I think the reason of that is because that the animators are running out of antagonists. They are also using Rainbow Dash to be the bad guy in some episodes in season 8. That, or just don't want to make another throw-away villain. Yes, it's getting annoying when we just keep seeing them over and over again and used as the baddie. Just like RD.

I am kinda tired of their same old schtick. I'd like to see Filthy Rich be the one to finally set them straight, though, cause AJ just fails at it.

Filthy Rich? I think he would support them, instead of working against him...

I was done with them after season 4. Their episodes are just not enjoyable for me
