"New ponies you shall meet, in a town hiddin right under your feet."

Shadow remember what Fable said when she was with Samurai. She couldn't understand what it mean. She shook her head as she watch two foals playing around the living room.

"Oh, hajimemashite. I'm Samurai Equine. Just call me Samurai." They have their introduction before Shadow leaves to explore the town. "Ah! Of course. Enjoy your stay!" He waves.

@Bastian, @Pastel-chan, @Dynamo Pad, @ExplosionMare

It was all happening so fast, the census pony at the front of the town could hardly keep up! "Whoa! This must be the town's lucky day!! Okay every pony, no need to rush. One at a time, please. I just need your name so I can sign you in. The rest can come later. It's purely for the sake of keeping a population tally, that's all!" The census pony explains before getting everyone's names. He even notices Pastel and gets her name too.

Samurai is enjoying the sight, but more importantly, his magic box activates. It gives him a green check mark, telling him the first task has been completed. With a nod, he puts the box away, and tries his best to make a first impression.

"Hello, sir! Welcome to Frien-- Oh. A curved horn. Are you from my village?" He asks Dynamo Pad.

"Greetings, and wel-- Uhh... Where are your parents, little one?" He asks Pastel, surprised such a young foal is out here on her own.

"Welcome to Friendshire. Hope you enjoy your stay" He gives a bow to Forest Gum and Pencil Pouch.

@Emerald Heart

Samurai takes a moment to try and get everyone's attention as they are coming in.

"EXCUSE ME! If I may have your attention, please! I am Samurai Equine. Welcome to our town. There is care packages by the front booth, if you want one. We have apartments, houses, and hotels all open for residency! Just pick one and make yourself at home. If you are looking for a job, trust me, just about every place here could use some help. We have laborers, but not enough ponies who like to take charge. Last thing you need to know, feel free to check out the Town Square! It's the best place to socialize, and all major events tend to take place there. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer!" Samurai finishes his speech with a bow.

With the wind in his mane and the sun looming above, a lone blue unicorn pulled his kart across the smooth landscape. Astral was quickly met with the site of what appeared to be a town ahead, though was even more surprised by the masses crowding the entrance. As his gaze diverted to the town's main gate, he could barely make out the name inscribed, given that the old wood had most likely degraded over time.

"Friendshire? What an interesting name, though I think I'm more intrigued by the crowd. I wonder what's going on? May as well go and see".

Astral Vision detached himself from his kart to join the surrounding masses, only to hear what appeared to be the end of a speech made by a light-brown unicorn.

"-If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer!" said the anonymous unicorn with a bow.

As the crowd began to depart, Astral made his way to come face-to-face with the unicorn in question.

"Hello there, I take it you're in charge of something here?" said Astral with a look of curiosity.

Fable nodded, but stayed where she was. She raised a condescending eyebrow at him, the first sign of actual emotion. Just as I thought, they view this town as a business. How unfortunate. She walked over to him, her face blank once again. "Pointless." She said to him in a low, yet mysterious tone.

@Astral Vision

Fable moved to the side when she saw Astral join in their little chat. Fable stayed silent and just stared at the two. Pointless. This is all pointless.

Astral noticed the presence of the mysterious mare, despite her generally silent demeanour, though he could tell there was a look of distraught in her eyes. Knowing these mysterious types well, due to living around wizards for much of his life, Astral decided to try and uncover the reasons for her potential woes.

"Hello miss, is something wrong? You seem a little down." questioned Astral in a calm tone.

Forest conversation was interrupted by the unicorn that had named himself Samurai, but he needed a home, his conversation could wait.

@ExplosionMare

It has been a pleasure to meet you but I must go.

He then turned to this Samurai and asked:

@Samurai Equine

Yes, I was hoping to rent an apartment, do you know of any near the town square?

As he and the others entered the town, Dynamo's ears perked as he thought he had heard a sort of different language. He turned to see a pony, who also had a curved horn, had begun making his way towards him and the group. Just as he was about to make his reply, he stopped and blinked as the pony had asked about his unicorn horn. He rubbed the back of his neck with his hoof as he felt worried about the question. "Hey and I don't think so. I'm actually from Fillydelphia. You mentioned something about my curved horn. It seems like you have a curved horn too. Were you born with a birth defect, as well?" He asked with concern in his eyes.

Samurai is about to respond until he hears Fable speak up. "Useless? No..." He looks over his shoulder at her with a confident smirk. "Potential."

He returns to Astral. "Me? Not entirely. The town is suppose to be run by two mayors, but no one sees them and they never really govern the place. We're all just fending for ourselves here."

Samurai turns to Forest. "All the apartments are marked with signs. Just ask whoever is in charge for a room, they'll gladly give you a key. Need me to escort you?"

@Dynamo Pad

Samurai shakes his head left and right at Dynamo's question. "I'm an asian pony, originally from the same town Mistmane once lived in."

"Ooh, I've played that one! I've beaten the elite four like, dozens of times by now~ my favorite game would beee... Pony Fantasy IX! I've always wanted to have a big adventure like that one."

She seemed to be having fun, until he started talking about her running away, and her parents... She looked away and pouted. She felt she was being lectured. She soon straightened her posture and giggled it off soon, though.

"It's okay, don't worry about my family or my grades! Either way, I wasn't gonna see my grandpa for awhile, and he'll never abandon me even if my grades are bad. He's kinda crazy, but he's really understanding! Hehe. To be honest... I've never really had a friend either; I don't get along with the other foals well, they think I'm weird... But I hope you don't think so, Dyny! I'm Pastel Heart, adventurer extraordinaire, defender of friendship and love Equestria-wide! Pleased to meet ya~"

She made a little, very cartoonish pose and playfully stuck her tongue out, like she's imitating something or somepony she saw. "Dyny" must be the nickname she is haphazardly giving him.

@Samurai Equine

Pastel happily waves to Samurai, giving her name in just as dramatic fashion as before. It's almost like she thinks she's some kinda magical mare.

She was caught off guard by the sudden question of "where her parents were". She frantically looked left and right before looking up at him again.

"Uhhh... Well, you see..."

She blurted out the first thing that came to her head, which wasn't convincing at all.

"My village was destroyed by demons! I was orphaned until he found me! He saved my life, he's my hero!"

She pointed up at Dynamo with her hoof. It seems she was dragging him into her mess and she's only known him for five minutes. This place seemed pretty cool and nice to stay in until the camp was over, so hopefully, even if he didn't believe her he wouldn't just send her home.

Astral Vision was confused, being answered one question with another. Though he knew it was best to try and appear polite, no matter what kind of pony he met.

"I suppose I'm a bit of a mystery, but I think you might have the wrong pony Miss. I don't know anypony named Mystique".

@Pastel-chan

Samurai is amused by her pose and introduction, clapping a little.

Then she tells a white lie. And Samurai leans in close, ominously...

...

"...DEMONS?! You must point me in the direction of this village! I will GLADLY defeat them with my pyromacy magic!" Samurai declares, taking a heroic stance. Wow, he actually believes that?!

Astral grew curious, clearly there was more to this town at first glance, perhaps fate had a hoof in his arrival. Having experience with friendship disputes, Astral decided he would question the light-brown pony for more details. But before he could say a word, the light brown unicorn announced that he would take down a horde of demons. Realizing the situation might get out of hand, Astral intruded.

"What's this about demons? What class and species are they?" Astral turned his head down to a little filly who dawned a nervous expression, and could tell something wasn't right.

Dynamo hummed in thought at the information he was given. "Huh. I actually didn't know that. Although, I've seen my fair share of anime. I thought I heard you say something that was along the lines of the Japonies language." His jaw dropped slightly at the mention of Mistmane. "Wait a minute. You said Mistmane...right? I didn't know she was real! I thought she was just a legend. My mother always told me stories about her. She was one of my favorite bed time stories when I was younger. You actually lived in the same town as her?"

"Glad to hear that someone else is a fan of that game. Who's your favorite Pokemon from the franchise. I think there's too many to count now that there's well over one thousand." He chuckled, before smiling with a nod at the game title she had mentioned. "I've heard about that game. I haven't played that series much, but my favorite would have to be either Pony Fantasy VII or X. Although, I'm more of a fan to the other game series, Kingdom Hearts."

Seeing the young filly's pout was not a big surprise to Dynamo. While he had to be an adult to sort of lecture her. He still wanted to make sure that she would be okay. He knew that if he had run away, his parents would be worried sick about him.

"I wouldn't really say that. I mean, I would want to worry about anyone that I consider a friend, but if you say so." He had to accept that there were things that may have been personal to her. He had to understand that she would probably tell him in due time. It wouldn't be possible as they had just met. "I'm glad to know that your grandpa would never abandon you. I wouldn't exactly say crazy. Maybe more along the lines of a goofball. Since my dad always acted silly and/or crazy to make others laugh and to not worry about the unknown." He raised an eyebrow at the mention of the foals she had mentioned. "Really? That's a shame, if you ask me. I wouldn't exactly call you weird. You're hyperactive and random, sure. Although, it shows that you're very spirited and outgoing. Sort of like a go-getter attitude. I think that's pretty cool, in my opinion." He blinked at the mention of what would be considered his nickname. "Dyny, huh? Not what I'd expect to be called, but okay! It's nice to meet you too, Pastel." He chuckled at the pose she had made.

As Pastel began talking to Samurai, the blue unicorn blinked as he was brought into what he considered her lie. While he knew it was wrong to lie, it seemed as if Samurai was going along with what was going on. He soon pulled Pastel over to him as he gave her a hug. "After getting off of the train, I was on my way here when I saw her almost passed out. I was lucky to have crossed paths with Pastel, or I'd be worried if any ferocious creatures were to get her. At any rate, we stuck together and pretty much bonded." He blushed slightly and rolled his eyes at being called a hero. "Oh, I'm not a hero. I was just doing what I thought was the right thing to do as a friend." He blinked at Samurai as he would explain everything to him a little later.

Fable sighed and shook her head, "You misunderstood, pony." She turned her head to the side, "I am looking for no one." She answered, "Mystique is located where she was last. No need to worry, though that might leave you aghast."

@Samurai Equine

Fable rolled her eyes and pointed at something behind him. An object had been broken, and lay in pieces on the ground. She pushed past him and pointed to it, "Useless."

Pastel was surprised times two, one by Samurai actually believing her, and both him and Astral pressing for details. She looked between the two, if this were an anime you could see the sweat flying off her head.

"Uhh... Fire demons? Bombs! No, Pyro Frosts! Yeah, a whole army of Pyro Frosts! But I got amnesia when I fell down the whirlpool so I don't remember where the village was!"

She would probably have a bit of a difficult time explaining the truth later, to say the least.

@Dynamo Pad

Pastel blushed as she was pulled into the hug suddenly. Was this a flag!? No, wait, that's not important!

"Y-Yeah, see, it's all totally true!"

She'd have to talk more about games with Dyny soon. But she still felt to whisper...

"...by the way, my favorite Pokemon is Mew~"

Samurai looks at the broken item. "Huh... Wonder what that is..."

@Bastian

Samurai points at the census pony in the front booth. The census pony has spare maps he is willing to give away for free. "One map, right here, buddy." The census pony hands it to him.

@Astral Vision

Samurai tilts his head at that question. "Demons come in categories?" He is clearly learning so much.

@Dynamo Pad, @Pastel-chan

Samurai nods. "It's all true. Mistmane is real! She even came back. Something about being stuck in limbo or something? It was too magical for me to understand."

But Dynamo playing along didn't help things. With a snort, he rises. "I'll get my suit of armor! Come, together I am sure we can sniff them out! I won't rest, not as long as there are innocent ponies suffering somewhere..." Okay, somepony had better stop this NOW or Samurai really will run off chasing nothing.

"Since Pastel joined me on my way here. I guess I'm sort of her acting guardian. So, I'll make sure she stays safe for the time being. If that's okay, that is." He says, turning his attention to both Pastel and Samurai.

His ears perked as he heard Pastel whisper to him. "You can never go wrong with Mew being a favorite. My favorite will always be Alolan Ninetales." He whispered back. He knew there would be a time to discuss more games later. For the time being he would have to clear this mess up, before it got out of hoof.

Dynamo's eyes widened at the mention of Mistmane was actually real. "Dear, sweet Celestia! My mom isn't going to believe that when I tell her. Although, I apologize if I said anything wrong earlier. The truth was that I was born with my unicorn horn being curved. My mother is a regular unicorn, but she couldn't understand why. The doctor's had ran some tests and they basically said my horn was a defect. They said that I wouldn't be able to use magic, but thankfully I managed to prove them wrong. I'm still not the best, but I am learning. Also, limbo? You mean like the game limbo? That's an odd place for one to be trapped in. I don't blame you as I'm somewhat confused, myself."

Once Samurai was making his leave, Dynamo quickly hurried over towards him. He placed a hoof upon Samurai's shoulder to gain his attention. "Sorry if I was playing along with what you said. The truth is, she ran away from camp. Her parents were sending her to camp due to some bad grades. I don't know the full story, but I didn't want any confusion to be brought up. I wanted to clear some things up as I knew that Pastel might tell you in due time. It's like I said before that maybe I can watch over her. Sort of like a guardian or sibling of sorts. Plus, I think we should clear up any confusion so things don't go out of hoof." He whispered so that only Samurai could hear him.

“That’s the thing, I don’t know yet. The commissioner wants this piece to be as much of a mystery to them as it is to me,” she said thoughtfully.

Pencil continued her way into the town, eyeballing anything that appeared of interest. So far, the town was nothing but dirt roads and a few upcoming houses.

Well, I guess the interesting stuff won’t come up until I completely arrive in Friendshire she reasoned with herself.

"Hmm... Maybe you have some asian in your family?" Samurai makes a suggestion. "We tend to excel at elemental magic. Some believe we invented it."

Samurai pieces this together as Dynamo clears up any confusion. "Soooo... There is no demons?"

@Bastian

Humbled, Samurai smiles and puts a hoof on Forest's shoulder. "I admire your honorable spirit, but you need not worry. Mistmane is fine. If she has found danger anywhere, she is traveling with the Pillars Of Magic, powerful alleys who would never let her face them alone. Mistmane is safe and capable."

Guardian? Pastel couldn't help but blush and giggle. It was like she had her own knight, like in some romance story! How exciting! Atleast, thats what she was thinking. She consumes way too much media.

With Forest now getting involved, Pastels expression became more and more stressed. She smiled nervously as Dynamo finally spilled the beans; this coulda been really, really bad... Something told her she shouldn't try her hoof at lying again.

"Y-Yeah. He's right. Sorry everypony... I got on the wrong train on the way to camp, and didn't think about correcting the conductor. I really don't wanna waste vacation on some stupid study camp... So please let me stay! I'll listen to Dyny! He'll be my knight!"

@Bastian

Samurai begins to talk into the town for now.

"My friend, I assure you, everything is just fine. Let's talk about it over some green tea and tofu sushi."
