Anyone else working during these "Lovely Times" (coronavirus)

I work at a company that builds back up generators. I transferred to a new position right before all this started. So I don't know what would be different.

If I did have time on my hands, I'd probably do the stuff I usually do after work. Down the line I'd probably get productive out of sheer boredom. Finally clean out and reorganize my room. Replace my bed. Install proper shelves for my collections. Maybe get all that exorcise in now that I didn't have to worry about spraining anything at work. And of course, get a full nights sleep.

I'm essential but my practice has been thrown into normal working hours since the tax deadline was extended.

I work for the devil, I mean Amazon, so you can see where that goes. $2 bonus pay+  doubtime pay for overtime hours, no UPT deductions which means you can take as much unpaid time as you want.

In exchange they get to treat you like garbage with garbage working conditions and managers on your ass for social distancing when said conditions makes it impossible.

So yeah, that's going fine

Thank you for your hard work with that. The more generators, the better! I am also considered an essential worker, as I work for a shipping company. I am grateful that I can still work at this time. I've gotten used to seeing others wearing masks all day and wearing one myself. Other than that, work hasn't been too drastically affected.

I normally worked and work full time, but get paid less, which is unfair. I wouldn't complain if I was working like 4 days / week to balance the lower payment. 774cHgn.png

I work from home anyway and my city isn't on lockdown so I can still make it to the post office, so the only big differences are slower business and lower motivation.

Still not working. I've been on hiatus since mid-March and it'll probably be a while yet before things return to normal. I get my perks but I'd rather get out and earn them.

Im working at Mickey Deez Nutz, so im an essential worker; however, my hours have been cut drastically recently because of the lack of customers coming through since our lobby is closed. But, we are receiving some safety measures in the lobby, so we may open up the doors soon and experience increased customer traffic and thus possibly more hours, so, :squee:

Yep, I'm a security guard at a college, it's really not so bad! I mean since the whole campus shut down for the season it is god awful boring at times (all the time) guarding the foxes, coons, and skunks is the joke right now is that is literally almost all I ever see out there. :ButtercupLaugh: Nut all in all I'm just glad to have a job during these times as loads of folks sadly have got laid off and are struggling greatly.

Yes I'm working.  Everybody I know is constantly getting long periods off because of corona or other things and still getting paid but I just work and work and work. :okiedokieloki:

It's stupider than usual and they're trying to make us wear masks.

If I was off I would be doing what I usually do when I'm off. Reading and watching tv. Maybe I'd even get something constructive done.

Nope I'm not. I was looking for a job when this stuff hit, but now I can't find anything because it's all closed down. An unfortunate consequence of keeping everyone safe that SOME PEOPLE don't seem to UNDERSTAND. Some people are just stupid I guess.

I know it's shocking in this day and age, but I'm a *GASP* housewife! My husband is still working. He has his own HVAC business, as well as repairing industrial refrigeration systems. I worry every time he is working, but it is an essential business. (mainly the refrigeration repair right now) HE IS VERY CAREFUL! Mask at all times, and nobody near him while he works.

We actually met when he came to repair a walk in freezer at the grocery store I was working in!
