Just visited a Dollar Tree and was able to find just one pack lying around near the floor.

 

Here's the thing, it's a value pack, which only has

• 3 cards
• 1 tattoo sheet
• No foils or pop-up cards

Compared to the normal 6 card pack, I essentially paid half the price for half the cards. I'm not sure if this is the case at every dollar tree, but this is what I've found. For me, the tins still offer more bang for my buck than anything short of buying a 30 pack box.

Yeah, I avoid value packs like that at all costs. They aren't distributed by official sources, so the third party usually takes anything valuable and repackages the rest.

Got the LFuttershy box at Walmart.  then my kitty peed on it.  The promo crd was the only thing salvegable.  If anyone is just looking for the card or bought the box for the card, I can pick up another box and send you the card and any duplicates I get for a fration of the price, or you could send me the box if you just wanted the card and I'll pay you a larger fraction of the price.

Found my first series 2 cards today! I was checking the trading card section at Walmart and was surprised to see that they were already out. I picked up three packs.

 

 

As with series 1, each pack comes with four trading cards, one tattoo sheet, and one sweepstakes code; however, series 2 cards also come with either one foil card, sticker, or standee. Series 1 cards did not include stickers.

 

Besides the overall different look, the cards seem to be similar to series 1 cards, from what I can tell. There's character cards, location cards, and trivia cards. The biggest difference I noticed is that the standees are all villains.

Did you get your box from Enterplay or Toywiz? I ordered mine from Toywiz because I got a coupon for it but I really hope that it comes soon.

 

I may have to get some packs to tide me over. I'd be willing to bet that the ghetto Walmart by my house doesn't have them yet but I plan on going to Target tomorrow so we will see if they are there yet.

 

5 of the gold cards? Nice. I think that statistically you get 4 cards for 2 30-pack boxes so 5 isn't off base. How many gold cards are there?

Yeah I heard that the Enterplay people already got theirs. Toywiz hasn't shipped theirs yet, but I hope they do soon. I ordered from them because I had a coupon lol.

What kind of Applejack card is it? I don't think that it is the most common card regardless. That would go to the location cards in the series 1 packs. Those are hard to trade...

Toywiz and Enterplay have lots of different cards that you can buy. Enterplay will always have the special boxes on their website, and Toywiz sells the individual cards that are not promos.

You should call Toywiz and ask if they ship USPS to Canada. That is by far the least expensive shipping that can be done from the US to Canada. I am not sure how much it is exactly, but I know that UPS, if you do the cheapest one, is $20-30. USPS may be less than that.

 

The sad thing is that shipping is ridiculously expensive. There isn't much way around it.

I just got the Derpy tin with cards in it from Hot Topic. I haven't opened it yet but I sure am excited for the promised Derpy foil card.

Wal-Mart has them for $12 if they happen to have any left. I think a lot of stores are cutting shipping of the first series since the second one is out. 

 

 

As for me, I just broke down and ordered the last foil I needed(not counting the golds and con stuff) for $6, so I'm about ready to start on set 2, and I got lucky and pulled a Gold Celestia from a 30-pack box(and Not!Cadance as the topper) so I'm happy. 

 

Despite the fact I ordered two boxes in a attempt to finish the set. I just couldn't find that last piece of the Elements puzzle in a pack.

As much I like that video, the fact they mixed up The Dark Magician Girl's stats with Dark Magicians is bugging the hell out of me now that I noticed it.
