Basic studies on python, basic, and some robotc

Took some classes in C++, I know the basics but not enough to do any real computer things.

HTML and CSS is the farthest I will go. I know enough (X)HTML to make the foundation of a website and enough CSS to decorate it. And that's simply it. Beyond that, Javascript confuses me. Anything that goes vaguely in that direction makes my head hurt. I'm more of a designer than a programmer.

I know nothing.

Depressed.

don't get depressed, learn.

what langue do you think you would like to learn? set a side some time to research them, and look up beginner tutorials when you have found a langue you want to learn.

Flash, VB, bit of HTML, Turing (Not sure the actual programming language that one uses) and some language we used to program robots, but it was an older program...

Just this and that

Was it C with an Arduino board?

No, I don't believe so.

I used to mess with HTML quite a bit, though its been nearly ten years since I've touched it for anything remotely significant.

I've dabbled lightly in C++ but didn't get terribly far due to a lack of free time and waning interest; I've toyed with PHP, but only with extremely focused things that have left me with only a scarce understanding of the language as a whole, and I've messed around with x86 assembly enough that I can come up with fairly amusing ways to cheat in offline PC games, though I don't understand nearly enough to do anything other than extremely minor manipulations when all is said and done.

TL;DR, I've messed with a number of languages but I've never really stuck with any long enough to gain a firm understanding. I may take a stab at learning C# at some point, but it will probably follow my established pattern. ;)

i was supposed to begin programming the fall, but i got caught up in a lot of shit, instead. vollying between my computer engineering and electrician education, as well as a shitton of stress that would screw me over numerous times. i simply didn't have time for any extra classes, realistically speaking. i was caught up in everything else.

i did do a bit of it last summer, though, with the intention of getting warmed up for it when school began again. i don't know a lot about coding, but i can look at most of it from a logical point of view, and kind of understand what's what and what is going on.

I know quite a bit of Perl, a bit of VB.NET, Java, some C but I don't really like it, and a bit of Fortran 90. I really like Perl and it was the first programming language I was introduced to and out of all of them it would be my favorite. The VB and Java I learned in a basic programming class before break and it probably isn't very extensive.

FORTRAN

Actually, I don't know any but FORTRAN sounds cool. I don't even know if that IS a programming language.

No offense, everypony, but HTML and CSS (and a few others of those montioned) are not programming languages. HTML, the most popular one in this thread, is a Markup language, as the name suggests.

Anyhow,

I started with C, moved to C++ (I've forgotten both)I messed around with java for a few days, but left it, and now work mainly in Python.

Probably some form of basic.

Myself, I know C#, C++, Python, Lua, VB and can generally pick up most 3rd gen languages with not much hassle.

It is one, from the 50s.

HTML is not a programming language, people.

I know to various degrees: Perl, PHP, Javascript, C/C++, Java, Lua, Haskell, Prolog, Python, Ruby, Visual Basic, shell script, SQL, SPARQL, and Scala.

Perl is my usually my first choice to use, but it somewhat depends on the project.
