I'm currently not at the age and location of where I need a roommate. Twilight Sparkle, I choose you to be my roommate (see the reference I made there). I would choose Twilight Sparkle to be my roommate if I had to choose a roommate. I'm currently working on improving my time management and organization skills, which is what Twilight Sparkle's good at. She would also help me study.

As much as I LOVE Rainbow Dash I don't think that I would be able to room with her. Her and I are way too much alike. I think I would rather have Twilight as my roomate because she is good at organizing and cleaning so it would be great since I'm horrible at that stuff.

While I'd love Twilight Sparkle to be my roommate, since you forced us to evaluate the ponies from an objective (or more from one's ideal qualities of a roommate) perspective I'd have to go with Applejack. She'd keep to herself and leave me be, and likely wouldn't mind the fact that I tend to have less-than-perfect hygiene. I've lost two roommates in college over such things, and she might encourage me to work a little harder than I do now. Better yet, I wouldn't mind her family coming to visit every so often.

I Love Both Pinkie Pie and Derpy Hooves...but having one of them live with me would be crazy! Derpy would probably destroy our room in 1 day! And Pinkie Pie would never let me concentrate and would wreck the house too with her parties!

Rainbow Dash: She seems the most neutral, not doing anything to mess up the apartment, and I have somepony that I could compete with a lot, so she's my first choice

Pinkie Pie: Too crazy, might destroy the apartment

Fluttershy: Might bring like ten animals into the apartment, I'm not an animal person

Flutter wouldn't be very harsh and I would have plenty to discuss with her regarding animals, which are the one thing she can really converse about.

 

Twilight would be able to help with organization, something I'm not too good at. She could help motivate me to read more, as well.

 

Applejack's mellow and efficient. She's someone who would never be bothered by someone provided they mean well.

 

For those of the Mane 6 I didn't mention as possibilities...

 

Pinkie is an entertaining character but too hyper and noisy to live with. I've never really been a party person.

 

Dash is too pushy for me and I doubt I'd work well with her brashness.

 

Though Rarity is my second favorite in terms of ponies I wouldn't be the most interested in rooming with her, (more than PP or RD though) considering her dramatic flair.

No matter how much I love Fluttershy, I'm going to have to go with Twilight Sparkle on this one. We share a lot of interests and qualities and she could help me with my homework when I'm stuck on something.

I chose Twilight because, well, she is really smart. If I need help, and I have a good reputation with her, then I will have help.

She won't be as much of a jerk or messy like Rainbow Dash, and not annoying or boring as Fluttershy could be.

 

By annoying I mean, well, too shy to do anything fun.

 

Also, I believe Twilight may haves a naughty side..

Woah there, perverts, I mean she may occasionally risk getting in trouble like, you know, people do stuff that can get them in trouble. Fluttershy and Rarity would be too uptight, Applejack is too honest, and Rainbow will promote it more often than it should be.

 

Twilight is basically the one most helpful to me, and sin't boring or could get me in too much trouble.

 

If she goes crazy, I'd be quicker than the average person to notice and know how to fix it.
