Putting Your Hoof Down is also one of my favorites, actually. I can't really point my finger to why I like it, but I do.

 

I also don't hate Mare Do Well as much as other people, and I like Ponyville Confidential. The two pilot episodes were also pretty good for me.

MMMystery on the Friendship Express

MMDW had many great moments, so despite its poor writing, I do still like that episode.

LBYS is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. I love that episode. Its girliness burns at the core of my masculinity, and it feels gooooooooooood.

Fall weather friends. I don't know if everyone else hates it or just don't care for it, but it's one of my favorites and I never really hear anyone else mention it

Over the Barrel... I've seen a lot of hate on this one... Probably because of the whole pie thing...

The Show Stoppers... I don't care what anyone says I love this episode, it was a great way to give the CMC personalities, and had them explore their talents... Also, even thought the song at the end was way off key, it was actually not that bad of a song.

Mare-Do-Well, was actually a pretty good episode in my opinion, I thought it really gave Rainbow Dash a personality that molded her into the character she is.

Look before you sleep... It was a great episode. It showed that the characters really weren't friends before they stopped NMM... And it also built up the personality traits of Applejack and Rarity.

Sisterhooves social... Pretty Smashing if you ask me...

I'm rather fond of Mysterious Mare Do Well, even though other people like to say it's horrible. I liked the throwbacks to classic superheroes, Batman being the most obvious. Sure, it had a couple easy-to-spot animation errors, but I still think it's a good episode. Entertaining to watch, and I kinda liked seeing things you don't really see in the show, like the construction site and construction worker ponies.

 

Other than that, I can't think of any episodes people seem to hate.

Well I know a lot of people hate Trixie however she's the entire reason I loved the episode Boast Busters. Dat personality. XD

 

I also really like the episode MMMystery on the friendship express. I can't explain why, I just do.

 

Also Sisterhooves Social is one of my all time favourites! I liked seeing Rarity and Sweetie Belle in the same episode!

That's really easy. There are a few episodes that I love that alot of people (not necessarily everyone, but alot of people) seem to dislike.

 

Putting Your Hoof Down is one that comes to mind. Alot of people don't like it because of the way Fluttershy is treated, and what that ultimately drives her to become. And alot of people think the end result is really depressing. I on the other hand, think it's hilarious when characters act the polar opposite of what they normally act like, and seeing Fluttershy pretty much take all that pent up anger out on the other ponies is just satisfying to me, especially after everything they put her through. It's refreshing and realistic that characters wouldn't always act exactly the way you normally see them act, especially when they're pushed far enough. I mean, everyone has bad days. Speaking of bad days...

 

A Canterlot Wedding Part 1 is another episode that alot of people have mixed feelings about. The primary reason for this seems to be because Twilight jumps the gun before knowing all the facts. Ultimately, she was right about it, but the end result could've very easily been the opposite. Alot of people think that an intelligent pony like Twilight would never act that way. But to them, I say this. Put yourself in her situation. Your brother or sister is going to marry someone that you think might be a bad person. You can't prove this, but there are subtle signs that this person might be extremely dangerous for your sibling. And there is a good chance that if you're right, his or her life is in danger. I can tell you from personal experience that when this happens, people stop thinking straight. So while I think the episode is kind of depressing (at least the first part), I also think it's really well written, and illustrates what a sibling might do in that kind of situation. Speaking of siblings...

 

Sisterhooves Social is another one, and the last one for this list. There aren't any technical reasons for this one. I just like it because Sweetie Belle is in it, and she's adorable.

It's campy, and fun, and Fluttershy is the most adorable culprit ever. it was like the mane 6 were putting on a "who dun it" play, as sort of a sequel to the HWE play.

Fall Weather Friends. I loved this episode a lot, and thought it was a cool plot idea. But I've seen a lot of people say they didn't like it that much.

I also enjoyed the episode Feeling Pinkie Keen. I don't understand why people don't like this episode. One side says that Twilight was being a bad scientist or that Pinkie's power just does not make . I feel like the episode was just trying to say that there are somethings we well never understand. People dislike sisterhooves social? well shoot. Toss me down for that one as well. That episode single handedly fleshed out Sweetie Belle as a character and let us in on a previously unseen dynamic between Sweetie and Rarity. Not to mention a little glimpse into the little seen life of poor ol Applejack. That....episode...was....god tier.

Fluttershy: speak to animals, brainwash half the fandom into thinking she's the best pony

Fluttershy also has The Stare and Rarity has her gem finding spell. As for AJ, well she's and a complete mystery to me. While everypony else is a prodigy she has no unique abilities to speak of. Makes you wonder why she become an Element over some other honest pony.

Putting Your Hoof Down is the one of the best episodes ever. Why? Iron Hoof. Outside of Discord, I have never been so enamored of a one-time character as I am that guy (obviously I don't mean literally, I just really like him as a character). Plus he's not really a villain so much as overly assertive. In the end he keeps to his word and I think that's pretty cool.

 

I liked Fall Weather Friends pretty well too, because I really like the dynamic Applejack and Rainbow Dash have. It's not quite a rivalry...more like a friendly but competitive sort of thing? They're both pretty proud of their abilities, and they play off each other well.

 

Baby Cakes was pretty great, too. It made me like Pinkie's character a lot more, as it's one of the few times you see HER being annoyed and pushed to her limit. And when she started bawling...gosh, I just wanted to give her a big hug! :c

People can't seem to get past the "Rainbow Dash cheated" "AJ egged her on" argument.

 

Complaints about PYHD usually have to with everyone being jerks to Fluttershy in a town that is thought of as the ideal place to live or that she crossed a line when she put down Pinkie and Rarity

I don't know why everyone hates on some episodes. Ponies are ponies, right? There is bound to be some bad episodes but not everyone needs to hear you trashing those episodes. I personally have never disliked an episode, but people who trash some episodes are just jerks!

Really, I love all the episodes, even the hated ones, the only episode I hate is 'the last roundup' I think people only like that because of Derpy Hooves but I don't dig the Derpy thing.
