Right now i read W.A.R.P from eoin cofler, i basicly read all her books, she is legendary! She deserves a place next to J.K rowling on the bookshelf! I really recomend her books, they are amazingly written and can be scary and hilarious at the same time.

Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring; I'm not very far through, though! I can't wait to get into the real adventure. All that's happened so far is Frodo has moved out of his home.

Just finished reading '23 Things They Don't Tell You About Capitalism' by Ha-joon Chang.

Right now, I am reading 'The Happiness Equation'.

Did you learn anything interresting about capitalsim? Should we all perhaps convert to something else?

Do tell, do tell!

I recommend Quo Vadis to anyone and everyone, and I'm reading "Tai Chi Illustrated" as well as "Tai Chi Secrets of the Ancient Masters: Selected Readings with Commentary"

Why do you recommend it? Anything specail you've learnt?

Quo Vadis taught me to keep an open mind: great literature is found everywhere provided one takes the time to look.

At the time I picked up Quo Vadis, I was extremely selective in what I read: only philosophy, non-fiction, science, classic sci-fi, Dumas, Dickens, or Hugo.

Quo Vadis turned out to be a historical ficiton/romance between a war captive and a roman noble. It caught my eye because of the Latin title, and pulled me in by it's historically accurate attention to detail, vivid diction, unique style, and character development.

The writer was not against capitalism, but against capitalism in its current form. He basically speaks about many areas where capitalism has gone wrong. Examples include forcing free trade in African countries, policies to make the rich richer with the hope that the rest of us will also become rich etc.

Overall, it was an interesting read. He certainly makes some important points though I don't agree with everything he says. For example, he says that sometimes regulations makes it easier for companies to make good decisions. This might be true, but I disagree with the amount of it he proposes.

I actually stopped reading this a while ago because I don't have the attention span to read books for very long. May have to buy their audio book to help me even get remotely close to finishing it.

I am reading through the Mack Bolan: The Executioner series. Up to # 137 right now and only 300+ to go.

Mack Bolan basically spawned the Punisher character.

I'm currently reading A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller, Jr. for one of my clubs on campus.  I'm a little over halfway done, and I'm really enjoying it.  It's a story from the post-apocalyptic world from the perspective of monks trying to preserve the knowledge almost completely destroyed after the bombs fell.

After I finish it, I have one other book to read for the club, Neuromancer by William Gibson, which is said to be the first cyberpunk novel.  I've read it once before, but it's really trippy, so I'm hoping certain things make more sense a second time around.

Thrackerzod is best pony.

The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith, finally.  Just in time for the movie (Carol) to hit this city.  It's written beautifully so far, though the.. just the prose and thoughts really, some of the characters' actions...the main characters, the women, am laughing a little, but it's just started.  A must if you were saddened by older lesbian pulp fiction, of course.  T_T  (or so they say- haven't really gotten to why yet but EXCITED!)

I just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Great series, now I can't wait for the "Fantastic Beasts" film.

I'm also reading another one- "Fantasy in Death," by J. D. Robb, and am also just beginning another one on Nazi Germany and World War 2.

Right now I'm reading "The Stainless Steel Rat Sings the Blues". I love James Bolivar DiGriz, alias Slippery Jim, alias The Stainless Steel Rat. He's a con-man and master thief, with a very strict moral code. He never steals from people. He steals from governments, corporations and banks that are fully insured. He also will never knowingly kill. The Stainless Steel Rat novels are full of wild adventure, humor, porkuswine, and impossible con-jobs and thefts that would make the Mission Impossible crew scratch their heads in total bewilderment!
