I'm not going to lie, but I think Derpy could've added to the show later on. Like I think about cutie mark crusaders.... Derpy could have had a special episode.

Hi guys. I'm Dashell and I like what you have here... invision rocks, I would have chosen them more often had they not gotten so pricey :P I hoep what I'm doing here isn't against the forums rules.. I decide not to PM the admins and just post in this topic

 

Anyways, I'm posting here in regards to the recent hub-bub involving the change in Derpy's voice. I and many other bronies are upset with this change and I'd like to do something about it. I'm of the mind that the situation can change if the right people and enough people are contacted.

 

I'd like to know if you guys, (mostly the admins as I'm thinking in terms of a black out) would be interested in going along with any sort of plan to hopefully change Hasbro's mind. I have a few ideas but I'd need help from the community so I'm reaching out. I'd love to hear from you, thanks.

You know what? There's a presenter on a childrens TV show who has one hand! She's a great actress and really nice, but people think she SHOULDN'T BE THERE Just because she's got one hand... Her take on it is that if kids grow up with people on the TV like that, they become more tolerant of it, PREVENTING THEM FROM BEING PREJUDICE OF DISABLED PEOPLE! That's right, it's doing more GOOD for the kids than BAD!

oh, bs. derpy is still cannon. the deed has been done. it was censored AFTER the fact. and it doesn't really matter either way. I don't blame hasbro for covering their asses.

It is exactly this innate intolerance of disabilities that makes people to hate on Derpys portrayal. It is not that she might be offensive to people with disabilities, no, she is only positive thing to them, but she is offensive to people who are offended by people with disabilities and do not want to see them in their entertainment because acceptance of people with disabilities to them is a slap in the face because they feel judged even in their own self-declared "perfectness".

 

This attitude is only reason people get offended by Derpy, they envy the love she has, even though she is not flawless. They feel like they are "worse than" those who are disabled, due their own prejudice against disabled people.

I've signed everything I'm aware of. Clearly THOUSANDS of bronies are taking a stand on this. We can get Hasbro to listen. If they listened to us about Derpy before, they can do it now.

 

I really want the original back for sale. I know the new DVD will have the original, but what about the official season 2 release? Will it have the original, or the edited? The edited is such horrible quality and has nowhere near the same charm that the original has. The edited version is what could make the show unwatchable if Hasbro listened to every complaint they received. If they bent their backs on this issue, who knows how often people will try to take advantage of them again.
