Ion's Pony Art Thread

Hey everyone.

 

 

I have been drawing pony pictures for over a year now and I have just recently started making pony vectors (Based on my own pictures, at least for now). I just thought I'd share them with everypony here in this great forum.

 

So here are the vectors I've made so far: 

 

 Adorable Inkie: This one was my first vector and it is quite rough.

These look great! :3 My favorites are Luna and Compass Rose, they just look so darn awesome. I think you capture the eyes near perfectly. Keep up the great work!

With some of them it is more different, but that Luna one is actually very close to my traditional art version of it. Take a look here:

You're right, they are very similar.

 

I think it's the little things that make a difference to the bigger picture. Like the shading in the ear, and the outline of the crown. The reflections in the eye, and so forth. They are all in the same place, but the colour, weight of the line and density all make a difference that is very interesting to see in both counterparts.

wooooooonaaaaaaa! most adorable vector of woona eva!!!! you do very good work, i have ben trying to figure out vectoring forever now but every time i try to watch a how to video i get annoyed by my incompetence and punch a hole in my monitor.

I never really bothered with those youtube tutorials as the people in them don't really explain what they're doing and its often difficult to understand unless you have at least some knowledge of the subject.

Here is a family picture of all my OC's:

Ulysses is Ion's brother, Flare is her mother and Thunder Breaker is her father. You may have seen my pictures of them I made last week.

Time for a new picture:

 

 

This time we have Blossomforth. Not too much to say about this one, but before anyone asks the reason you can't see freckles on both sides of her head is that her head is turned slightly. Still you actually find that with freckled ponies you rarely see them when the pony is facing forwards.

Here we have Cheerilee about to open presents from her best students, the Cutie Mark Crusaders for her birthday. This picture was made for the Equestria Daily MLP Birthdays Compilation for Nicole Oliver (Who voices Cheerilee). Ion Sleeping

 

 

Here is one of my OC Ion sleeping on a cloud. As you may notice she is not wearing her mane clip or tail band. This gave me a chance to to draw her with a messy mane and I do love the results. Ion does have a naturally unruly mane (Much like Ulysses) which she keeps in check with her clip and tail band, but obviously she doesn't wear then when sleeping.
