Yes, I signed it. I'm quite surprised that it has that many signatures in almost two days (as of now). It's probably not going to reach 100,000 but, signing it won't hurt.

But haters will take a look at things like this and use it as further solid ammunition about how we're purposefully trying to religiously push the fandom onto people. Honestly this won't happen, it'll be like all the other petitions that are a bit crazy, they will be vetoed by the president for X reason.

 

Plus its shoving brony stuff down non brony throats, and I don't agree with that type of thing. Plus I don't mean to be mean or anything but I think it would be a pretty dumb thing to do, I love MLP, but having it as the US anthem would just be dumb..

 

This will either not get enough votes or become like the death star project petition and other petitions like it .

 

Besides even as a brony I don't think its a good idea, just another reason for haters to hate us.

I think if there was a bomb that turned the U.S. into an all-brony country, then this would be stupendous. But forcing this would be unwise. Its a silly and fun idea. We should get as many people as we can to sign it. For fun. ( FUN? FUN?! FUN! FUN! ) even if we get all the signatures, that doesnt mean it will happen. But it will make us feel good. Pretty sure this is a joke, which is why I signed it for shits and giggles.

 

Wouldn't mind seeing ponies in politics in the US, though, like it is with the Pirate Party in Europe, if for no more reason than to be thought-provoking. It's about time an Internet-focused political party popped up in the US (again, like the Pirate Party), and I think it's inevitable that ponies will play a role.
