I already know that I'll be disappointed with the episode's treatment of the princesses and the other bullshit I'm always whining about here. But I AM PSYCHED BEYOND BELIEF to know what is inside that thing!

 

Only one thing annoys me about it: the girls didn't bother with it for most of the season and they have no clue that those objects are supposed to be they keys to it. I don't know how are they going to suddenly figure it out after apparently giving it no thought for most of the season.

 

But I don't know if I can live through this week.

I don't know who this demon guy is, but I'm glad they're gonna be opening the box it seems. Hopefully this finale will tie up the season well and end it satisfyingly, if only to make the wait for the next season less painful.

Regarding the new trailer of the season finale. 

 

I was sure that the new villain was going to be a draconequus seeing as though the facial structure is very similar to Discords but seeing that both of his hands are claws, a dragon maybe? Who knows, maybe draconequus' come in all sorts of animal mixtures. I still hope he's a physical threat, we haven't really seen that yet.

I've wrote a review with a bit of theories about the season finale for myself :3

This is more a theorization about the scenes that were seen during S4's finale preview,so they could be true or not,and only time can tell...

 

HERE STARTS THE REVIEW

On the first scene of the video,we see a background that is easily recognizable(Ponyvile) and,on the middle,a jewelled tree.That tree can be Twilight's castle,making Ponyvile her kingdom at the end of the season

 

 

 

 

Look at the background and the tree...Aren't they familiar?

Suddenly,a multicolored rainbow sprouts from the tree,and follows a marked trajectory.At first sight,ir can be confused with a nornal rainbow,but,if we see the Rainbow's colors...

They're related with each member from the Mane 6!

• A Purple color for Twilight
• A Cyan Blue color for Rainbow Dash
• A White color for Rarity
• A Light Yellow color for Fluttershy
• An Orange color for Applejack
• A Pink color for Pinkie Pie]

That confirms that the Rainbow Power is real,and that multicolored rainbow is his power unleashed by the Mane 6

 

 

Look carefuly at the rainbow's colors.What does them remember you?

 

The next point is the new villain...

There's not a full picture of him,so we can't say a lot of how is he,and how he appeared.

But I think that his appearing has something to do with the Tartarus...

 

I wonder how that will fit into the MLP world...

And here comes the point that I've wanted to reach...Twilight's key.

• Wondervolt Badge from Rainbow Dash
• The Boneless Chicken from Pinkie Pie
• The Flower from Fluttershy
• The Coin from Applejack

But...What about Twilight's...Wait a second...

Look attently at the box,and you'll see a golden key on it,or

better understood,Twilight's key for the box.

 

 

Twilight's key is received during the season finale

But there's a bit of fan theory here...Does she receive the key with that form?Or the item that is gave to her morphs into that key?

Personally,I would choose the second option,because it would stare better my theory of what would the key be...

 

Her key is the journal that they start on Castle Mane-ia...

Twilight's element is Magic(Friendship),and that book represents on someway their friendship.

 

But there's a question that I can't answer...How they discover the items's use?

Gues that we'll have to wait until then...

Hm,now that you name Sunset Shimmer,I didn't thinked about her transformation while writing the review

But I think that this new enemy will be a true demon,with enought power to trap all 3 princesses(Luna,Celestia and Cadence),as seen on the Preview,and,from

his actions,he wants more than conquer Equestria...

Sunset became,on my opinion,a "pseudo-demon",due for the power of Twilight's crown,but that power can't be compared with the power of a true and original demon that,on my opinion,will be the new villain

Well, I can say this much.

 

Notice how the clip showed the Ponyville Library seemingly getting blown up? yet in the same clip, we get a look at what looks like a crystalized version of the Golden Oaks library, and it looks like it's still in Ponyville.

 

So if nothing else, I think we've got evidence at least that Twilight will still live in Ponyville during Season 5, possibly even the rest of the series depending on where they're going from here.

 

Also, I personally hope to see the show provide further justification for what need there is for Twilight to remain a princess beyond the title being her reward for what she's learned about friendship.

 

To be fair though, if they didn't, I probably won't mind too much as long as Twilight will still live in Ponyville with her friends.

 

I do hope this finale turns out well, given the reception Magical Mystery Cure got from giving us Alicorn Twilight, I think DHX will be alright as long as they don't make too many drastic changes beyond giving the Mane 6 the Rainbow Power thing and Twilight's newly renovated library (or castle if you want to go there).

 

But again, as long as Twilight gets to remain in Ponyville, I'll probably be fine with however this turns out, after all, there's only so much you change about MLP:FiM before it stops being MLP:FiM, and I think if nothing else, DHX knows this, so I'm willing hope for the best.
