I've been expecting it for a while, but the episode was so rushed. They should've added more build-up and plot instead of seven songs. :/

But Megan did say that this was just a single part of a three-parter or some jazz like that,so,we'll see what they have in store for us.

I really need honest opinions about this..

Because I have alot of Mixed Feelings about her turning into an alicorn. ._.

They should of saved it for season 4

I have merged your thread with this already existing one that serves the same purpose. Please check to see if your post could fit into an existing thread before creating a new one.

To be honest I'm not sure if this Is a bad thing or not. But was anybody else botherd by the facct that the type of pony's (Unicorn,Pony etc.) was unbalanced. And will Twilights princess duty's split her up from the gang?

I think it was a great choice for the show to make Twilight into an Alicorn because its so awesome that she is now and in terms of Rainbow Dash she is 20% cooler not to mention all of the mane six will have cooler adventures to take on for Princess Celestia so it was good that they made Twilight an Alicorn. What if princess Twilght, became overwhelmed with her princess duty's and had to spend less time with her friends and then the element of Magic was replaced by a new pony?

I don't know and I actually don't of her becoming an Alicorn. I am actually happy that the show is still continue. and I think that it's just going to be more intresting.

I don't think MLP is going to die anytime. One of things that people need to consider that this is one of the many story arcs in the series complete. And there still arcs to complete like the CMC ect.

I don't think that Twilight becoming an alicorn was a good thing considering she won't be writing any letters to celestia anymore and I think that season 4 will be extremely short similar to season 3 it's mostly going to either a story wrap up or a few flashbacks but I think the next season may be the final due to the fact that the hub has a contract with MLP for 4 seasons

The letters to Celestia have been relatively few and far between ever since Lesson Zero, which was episode 3 of season 2. And I believe that Season 4 is already slated to have the full 26 episodes.

To answer the poll question, I'm neutral to this. From what I heard, the Season 3 finale was allegedly the finale. But due to the popularity spurt, Hasbro had no choice to announce a continuation.

Although, if you pull my leg, I'm leaning to her ascension to an Alicorn to be good. Why? Because it could give birth to new shenanigans.

I find the disconnect between this poll and my poll interesting. In "Do You Support Twilicorn?," the "yes" has a little over 50% in the poll, while this poll seems more evenly split between the options, even though they ask a similar question.

I'm a little perplexed at the cause of this. Different voters?

While I'm not bothered with Twilicorn as I thought I'd be, I know there's one question about it I strongly believe Hasbro and.or the dev team should answer;

Will Twilight be immortal and/or will outlive her friends?

I know that's the greatest fear many of us have regarding Twilight's ascension into Alicornhood and it should be addressed.

Does anyone know any means of contacting the people behind the show so that we can ask that question? preferably toward someone that's likely to respond?

Why don't we ever see humans in Equestria?

From what I understand the intent was to make her into a Princess from the start, maybe not a Alicorn Princess, but one neither the less. I also argued in another thread that she always stood apart from her friends, but it did not affect their relationships. Everything was preparing her for the moment that she would become the Princess of Friendship as I like to call her. I would also argue that keeping her friendships intact would be at the core of her being a princess. I'm thinking she will be a different kind of princess than the other three and much more approachable.

I mean in shortiest terms, Twilight Sparkle becoming an alicorn, could be considered a good idea, because throughout the series she is studying friendship through seasons 1-3, and she is proud of that.

:\ I really like the idea of twilight becoming an alicorn but it feels like she makes all the other ponys kind of smaller in comparison and I love Rarity :(

I think that most peoples' fears were that becoming an alicorn would make her more aloof in comparison to the rest of her friends or that being a princess would separate her from her friends. As Tara commented, neither will happen, and she'll be the same adorkable Twilight but with wings.

In my opinion the show shouldn't change much. We'll still have slice of life episodes and maybe some epic adventures in there as well. We'll still see episodes devoted to certain ponies, and we may even see some more neurotic Twilight as well. Princess Twilight with wings should even open up some interesting options for episodes as well. We could see Twi getting advanced flying lessons from Dashie and diplomacy lessons from Celestia. I hope I'm not the only person who wants to see more screen time from Celestia. :P

TL;DR

Good thing!

I don't think this has been pointed out (if I has I apologize), but one thing that bothers me is the following.

Becoming a Princess in Equestria is apparently very difficult, as Celestia said, it hasn't happened in over 1,000 years.  However, Twilight achieves this before any of her friends achieve their 'goals' or 'destinies', which seems very odd.

As an example, Rainbow Dash has worked to become a Wonderbolt for, at least, a good part of her life, Twilight has (consciously) worked to become a Princess for none of her life, however she achieves her 'destiny' before Dash.

This leads me to one of two conclusions:

-Becoming a Princess is actually easier than becoming a Wonderbolt.

-Twilight is just that much better at life than Rainbow.

Since the first is disproved in-show, that only leaves the second, which I find quite depressing.

Faust has had nothing to do with the show since halfway through season 2. She didn't like how far they've deviated from what she originally invisioned and left. She hasn't even been able to bring herself to watch it since then because it's so different than what she wanted. She was reluctant to even be interviewed for the Bronycon documentary, even.

Uhhhh, She left on good terms because she to much of a work load to deal with, that had nothing to do with it. She had decided to leave after season 1 and stepped down to an adviser position for season 2 to ease her way off the project.
