What is the coolest vacation you have ever been on?

At this current time of posting, I am in my grandparent's vacation house in Florida. And I have been wondering, where have all you guys traveled to? I am kind of spoiled, so I have been a lot of places most people have not. So yeah, where have you been?

I haven't been to many notable places. I was in Egypt last year. Worst vacation in my life, the hotel sucked, the service was awful, it was like 50+ celsius everyday, I was constantly surrounded by extremely annoying merchants where I went and on top of that I had stomach aches and puked a lot. A total waste of time and money if you ask me

But the coolest vacation I've been to is Torino, Italy. I was watching my favorite football team Juventus playing against Milan. Everything was awesome about the city: Wonderful people, food that will make god envy us humans and a charm that cannot be matched by any other city. And the football game ofc :P

I have never actually been outside of Canada. Not even to the US. I'm going there in summer, actually, but haven't yet. I'm not really into travel.

When I was ten, my parents decided to head back into the mission field and take my brother and I along.  Their sponsoring church sent us to a two-week training program at a ski-lodge in Colorado with a bunch of other missionaries about to enter the field.

That ski lodge was amazing.  It was supremely cozy, with big fireplaces and comfortable furniture near them.  Down in the basement there was a little TV with big old couches around it.  Being missionaries, they played movies like Anne of Greengables, and the Sound of Music, but I didn't mind that back then.  There was a ping pong table and it was always easy to find opponents.  There were board games like Risk and Buck Rogers that had a million pieces and took hours and hours to play.  The food was pretty good, but what was *amazing* was this peach drink kept in recirculating decanters in the dining hall.  I've never tasted anything like it since.

I had a bit of a rivalry with a girl there who was about my age.  We competed against each other in most everything.  We both found each other annoying, though I can't recall the specifics of why, now.  We parted on good terms though, because we knew that's what Christians should do.  9,9

There were snowball fights and sledding, and probably a bonfire at some point, I imagine.  It was one of the best times of my life, followed by one of the worst, when we actually ventured out into the mission field.

This one I know for sure. On spring break, I think, I went to this awesome state park called the Natural Bridge. There were tons of awesome trails, mountains, and this awesome ridge made out of rock that connected 2 mountains together. (Hence the name.) I stayed there for like 3 days. Then, I met up with 4 of my cousins, and my aunt and uncle, and we went to these caves for like 2 days. After that, we went to the Great Wolf Lodge for like 4 days. Best fucking vacation I've ever been on.

I went to Tuscany for a week a couple years ago. I saw Florence, Rome, Venice, and a bunch of other cities while I was in Italy. I got to see Museo de Tortura (The Museum of Torture) and the Death Penalty Museum (which are both connected, but are in different cities) while I was there. I also ate the World's Greatest Gelato. It was the greatest thing my tastebuds have ever know. If you go to Italy, you must try that gelato. I cannot remember what city the shop is in, but it is worth it to find out.

Last year when my brother, my dad and I went to Camp Bestival. The time we went in 2011 there were loads of rowdy teenagers and scantily clad girls about and being the self-righteous little bastard I am I disapproved of this heavily. However this time it felt less like a teenage garden party and more like an actual family festival and we took part in more activities and watched some bands we wouldn't normally have watched, so it was great fun all round. Having a camper van was cool too.

I went to japan in the 90s and I checked out every otaku place in akihabara and bought lots of action figures, video games, manga. The food in japan doesn't really suit my palate or I just don't know where the good ones are and the portions are pretty small.I really like their bottled drinks and some of the snacks but I can't remember any specifics.

Went to vegas around the time the soviet union imploded and they still had those coin slot machines with plastic buckets for people to collect winnings, any old time gambler knows why the machines were changed to digital later on but the sound and sight of coin dropping were just awesome. The trip made me a habitual gambler and high roller later on in life.

Puerto Rico will always be my favorite place out of all. I am actually getting to go back there this spring break and I absolutely cannot wait till I can go again.

I went to Hawaii many years ago and my family rented this one house, since my uncle is a fisherman we got to eat fresh fish every night for dinner and had a pretty good time. The only part I didn't like about that vacation was getting eaten up by the mosquito's.

Well it's kinda hard to decide...
I've been to Greece about 4 or 5 times, Croatia for when we go on a "cheap" vacation, been in Spain and going there again this year, been to almost every part of Italy, skiing in Austria and Bulgaria and even went to Paris last year.

Now the best one...That's hard because I can't decide between Spain, Greece and Italy. Well Italy count's mostly because I went to the Ferrari museum and since I'm kind of a racing person, that's probably the best one. :P
But still, Spain and Greece were beautiful as well. :)

It's a tie between two:

Back in 2006 when my parents and I went to British Columbia for a week. We flew into Vancouver, spent two nights in the city, then took a scenic drive to the resort town of Kelowna. When I was there I went on an aerial tour on a Cessna 175 floatplane, and the pilot pretty much let me fly the whole way.

Or

Back in March 2011, when I went on a spring break trip to Europe on an upper-classman trip. We spent two nights in Rome, two nights in Flourance, a night in Carcassone, a night in Aix-en-Prouvance, and two nights in Barcelona.

Went to Puerto Rico in 2008, I'm Puerto Rican, and it was my first time going there. I ate rice, beans, porkchops, and these banana flavored cheerios, visited family (lot of family in the island) swam, had a great hotel, dogs everywhere (I wanna do something about that when I'm old enough to do something like a charity to help with that, they're so bucking cute and seeing them starve on the street is painful for me) radio music was interesting (probably because I don't know spanish) and the airplane trip was incredible. Seriously, I fell in love with flying after that, which is why I haven't gone on an airplane trip since. *sigh* Gotta go back there soon, my family moved to a new house a couple years ago so we're not fit to go and fly back there any time soon.

It's a toss up between two of them:

1) The week in France I that spent when I was in high school.  A trip I took with my French club, and I pretty much saw everything- a great old castle, the Louvre (including the Mona Lisa), the Arc de Triomphe, ad of course the Eiffel Tower- too bad it was raining that day when we went there.

2) Spending the week of Thanksgiving 2011 in Southern California at my brother's place.  Probably not too exotic for any SoCal bronies here, but I was not going to miss the chance to see Disneyland, parts of San Diego, or Hollywood Boulevard and Mann's Chinese Theater.

Well it is tied up with 2.

- Once I went to Washington D.C with my class for a week, and it was a blast. The chaperones weren't strict and we got to visit some of the great memorials and stay at a REALLY nice hotel.

- Went with my family and took a giant road trip of the west, and I really enjoyed when we stopped by Las Vegas for a week. Got to stay in Excalibur and go to places like MM world and Circus Circus.

Oh, most definitely when I went to Japan, in 2001. I was born there and half my family is there, but we came to America very early on and I've always been rather sad that I've sort of lost my connection to my mother country. But this trip was super cool, I was only nine. We were there a month and stayed with our family and my mom's friends, and it was just great. I loved being with the family that I never get to see, and Japan was just so fun and pretty and colorful to a little girls' eyes.

I think everyone has a vacation that they will remember for the rest of their lives, and that trip back to Japan is mine.

The coolest vacation I've ever been on was when I went to a family reunion in Maine. We had to fly all the way across the U.S just to get there. We stayed in a huge, and I mean huge, 10-12 bedroom house with a lake as our backyard with kayaks and canoes to use whenever! Although I was only 10 at the time, I hardly remember :(

Mine would have to be when I went to my home state West Virginia. It was great to see that place again and well, I did Sooooo much during that week. The first day, we just arrived and then settled in. The next day, we relaxed and played Mini Golf, then went White water rafting (It was rough, fun, yet scary at the same time), then went horse back riding for my first time ever, and then we left :( but on the way home, we stopped at some place called the "Mystery hole" which was an illusion filled building and gave me vertigo  but was also awesome :P I miss that Vay-K. I really wish I could visit another country, but we are dirt poor :/

When I was in eighth grade, my class took a trip to London right before graduation. I got to see the St. Paul's Cathedral as well as going on the London Eye. We also got to see various old castles. It was fun!

This year however, will be the first time I am ever going to Comic Con. I hope it'll be as cool as it can be!

When I was 15, my extended family went to an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, on the beach front of the Caribbean. While we were there, we took a tour through the local Mayan ruins about 20 miles away, and some of us (myself included) went swimming with trained dolphins at a nearby island.

Best vacation I ever went on, to date.

I am from Logan West Virginia, but I currently live in Ohio, and when I went there on vacation, I was in the New River Gorge, with the ginormous bridge and we were at a campsite called River Expeditions, its near a town called Loudenville I think? But the location was Oak Hill
