Ocean nodded and stood up. "Its okay...i'm happy she's alright. Why did she want to talk to you so badly ?" She asked, standing up and looking at the door leading into Scamp's room. "And does anypony have any idea when she will be okay to leave ? If she's going to be here over night...I think it would be nice to come stay with her. I had to spend a long time in the hospital once...and I was alone so I don't want Scamp's to be left by herself." She said, looking away from the door to look at Cliff.

He winked at her as the doctor propelled him out of the room. "'Course I care," Cliff said cheerfully, hoping to keep her sprits up. The doctor smiled forcefully at him, then shut the door in his face. The burly Pegasus rubbed his eyes with a wing, drained and tired all of a sudden, and then spotted Ocean sitting by herself on a bench outside the door.

 

"Hey, sweetheart," Cliff grinned, his amber eyes crinkling. "Sorry to keep you waiting. I think she'll be okay, she just hit her head pretty hard."

"Wait, no! Please, come back, visit me again!" Scamps cried. But it was too late. The door had shut. She laid her head down on the pillow and groaned. Another day in here, apparently. If she was lucky, she'd be out by tomorrow afternoon. But now the thought bothered her of why he didn't give any sort of direct answer to her question. I wish I could figure out that stallion. She thought. She looked out at the door, knowing Cliff was on the other side.

 

And Cliff was the only thought occupying her mind as she drifted off to sleep.

Splinter asked while cocking an eyebrow at all the other sleeping ponies in the room. ''Ah, well. I'm going to go take a walk. Gotta earn some sanity points back after last night.'' Splinter said as he shuddered and opened the door.

Splinter had noticed a mare a few rooms away leaving her room as well. ''Ooo! Meeting a new person. That's like, 10 sanity points.'' Splinter thought as he shuffled toward the mare. ''Or maybe this is just going to make me lose more sanity points. I just thought 'ooo!'.. Yup. 3 more sanity points lost.''

Stacy nodded her head with a smile. "Yeah, even after all of that. After all of that I still like you. Y-you feel the same.... right?" Stacy asked now nervous as buck. "I mean I know that was a while ago, but I still feel that way even if you don't. And I can understand if you don't."

Eve gazed at Stacy seriously. Honestly, she had never expected for Stacy to even want to be her friend again, let alone... Well... "I'm honestly... Well... I never even hoped to imagine that you would even want to be my friend anymore, let alone..." She allowed her voice to trail away, and smiled, turning slightly pink, and said, "But I... Dox thought long and hard about Milly's question. What if they lived in completely different towns? What if they never saw eachother again? His heart sank at the mere thought. But then he realised that he could travel to see her. "Of course we can, sweetie. Nothing on Earth would stop me from seeing you."

Dox walked out from the carriage and waited for Milly. "That's funny, the trip back here didn't seem to take as long as the trip to the dam..." He walked into the hotel with her. "Hey, do you wanna eat before we go walking? I bet they'll have something good."

Percussive smiled back to Para. "Great. Lets go on ahead up. It's starting to be a little late, so we should hurry up." ((Only saying that because everyone kept rushing the day. >_<))

 

Percussive led Para towards the elevator, moving them up towards the second floor, and going into his room. For some reason, the door to his connecting room with Eve was open...

 

That's odd... Could've sworn it was closed when I went to get breakfast. At least Eve isn't inside...

 

"Just make yourself at home, er... Hotel room.", he said, adding a bit of a chuckle to his statement.

Stacy and Eve rode in the carriage back to the hotel. She thought about the last part of their conversation and how Hop didnt rat her out to Eve. She asked Hop to do that for two reasons. 1) she didnt want Eve to find her 2) she wanted to confront Eve when she was ready. Luckily for her Eve didnt know she had been living with Hop the entire time. "So Eve. What do you want to do when we get back?"

The Star Rose appeared to be in a joyous full bloom for the first time since Eve had arrived in Las Haygas. Eve, herself, wore a somewhat more reserved expression as she said, "I really don't know. I didn't really want anything to do with this place at all originally. I can't really think of anything." She shrugged. "We could always pop into one of the casinos, just to see what they're like. But if we do, I'd like to stop by my room first. Don't want to bring the rose to any place like that."

Ramona had just locked her hotel door when she looked to her right and saw a light gray stallion, who apparently looked like he was about to approach her and say something, Ramona figured that she say the first word. "Um....May I help you?...." Ramona sounded a bit rude, which was a negative about her, she was sorta rude.

Cliff shook himself abruptly, the panicked shout of Scamps unsettling him more than a bit. Of course he'd come visit her, that was a given, but she seemed so...off. The Pegasus pony tossed his mane out of his eyes and folded his wings tightly against his sides, smiling tiredly at Ocean. "To be honest, I think she mistook me for somepony else," He said, trying to laugh it off. "But I think she'll be okay. I'll check in on her later tonight, if I can, and she ought to be out by tomorrow, I think. That's how long I stayed in the hospital after I've gotten my concussions."

 

He looked at her, with those pool-blue eyes, and felt himself relax a little. "Why were you in the hospital? You don't seem much like a rough and tumble pony, sweetheart."

Ocean wanted so badly to face hoof...second time that day she let something slip. *Get it together, Ocean.* She thought, before saying. "It's a long story...a spell went wrong and I was put in the hospital for a few day's...nothing to bad." She lied. *Oh I wish I could just tell him...no...I don't want to scare him off...like all the other's.* She thought, glancing at Scamp's door before looking back at Cliff. "You wanna get back to the hotel ?" She asked.

Sky saw the mare as well and he waved at her. While Splinter went over to talk to her. "Jeez this headache is terrible" Sky thought to himself. He couldn't even remember very much of what happened last night. He wondered what his BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) was. He guessed he had a .2 or .3 from last night.

 

(( Just imagine that on a scale of .01 to .5 when .4 induces coma and .5 leads to death. ))

Cliff studied her quickly - come to think of it, she did look like the kind of pony who would experiment with spells, but this slanted a whole new kind of intensity on her. She was the kind of pony who would put herself in the hospital to find the right kind of spell, just like he had put himself in the hospital multiple times to make himself a better flier. Although judging from her, she hadn't been trying to please an injured, overzealous father, she had been genuinely interested in spells. "Cool," He said, and meant it. "What kind of spell? You're the kind of unicorn who's into stuff like that?" Cliff asked, genuinely interested.

 

He opened the hospital door for her with an exaggerated bow, and followed her out into the warm, humid night. For a desert, it was awfully damp and hot. "Sure. It's getting pretty late, we should head back."

Sky laughed to himself on the hotel couch, he felt better after his hangover seemed to wear off from last night. After he heard Splinter talk about sanity he said out loud, "Sanity what the buck is that? I've never heard of that before..." HE started to laugh to himself some more than realized he said it out loud.

"Just some water spell...and stuff...nothing serious." She said. She felt bad for lying but she really didn't want to loose Cliff...he was so sweet...and charming.

She chuckled slightly as he bowed at the door. She trotted out and waited just outside on the sidewalk for Cliff.

She was so focused on him that she didn't noticed how humid it was...which was never good for her.

A few water droplets started forming on her back...they weren't really noticeable but they did shimmer slightly.

The two of them strolled out onto the sidewalk, the flavorful scents of Las Haygus filling Cliff's nose. It really was quite a humid night, and it apparently started raining as well, since there were a few drops on Ocean's slender back. Automatically, Cliff brushed the droplets off her back with a wing, and glanced at the sky. "Looks like it's gonna start raining," He said with a smile. "We should hurry back."

 

"So," Cliff asked once they were safely beneath the awning of the hotel. "What kind of spells do you work on? What kind of water spells?" He looked up at the sky.
