Do You Have More Than One "Best Pony"?

My two favorites are Rarity and Luna with Sweety Bell a close third but there isn't a character in the show that I don't like.

 

Each one of them has their own little querks that I like so to me they could all be best pony

There is no way I could have just one best pony! Twilight, Luna, and Derpy are best ponies. Between Twi's adorkableness, Luna's relatability(?), and the Derpster's hhhnnnggg inducing adorableness, anything pony related with them in it is a mega win! Yeah, Luna Eclipsed was just epic!

I immediately took a liking to Applejack as soon as I saw her, But now that I am getting into music I like Vinyl Scratch just as much.

Yep, Derpy and Luna. I put them tied for first so they could finally stop fighting for the top position. Derpy was the first pony I saw before becoming a brony and I found her unbelievably adorable even before I watched an episode. Luna is also adorable, I love her colour scheme and I like her roles when she made an appearance.

 

I had the same problem with the mane 6, their positions kept switching so much because I liked them all for one reason or another. I tied them all as well with slight favouritism for Fluttershy because I could identify with her quite a bit more than the others.

I've switched between best pony for Pinkie and Rarity so many times, they are just both soooo awesome and adorable. I might as well call them both best pony as I can never seem to stay loyal to one of them. I like other ponies as well, but compared to those 2, the rest mean nothing

Well, I think all the ponies are great characters, I just have my personal favorites.

 

Fluttershy is still my favorite, however Twilights actually got up there and almost been even and i've even thought of putting her as first a few times, so they're basically neck and neck almost up there. But for now Fluttershy still takes the cake.

Yes I do. While I love the entire mane 6, I've always had more of a soft spot for Rainbow Dash and Rarity, and Twilight to a lesser extent

As far as the Mane Six go, no. They're CDO'd in perfect order for me of most liked to least liked (though it's more of a 'interests me the most to least interests me the most'). But, for characters as a whole, yes, I do. Discord, Dash and Spitfire are all 'equal' in my terms for 'Best'. They're just 'best' for different reasons. Dash is Best Pony, so, Best mane Six/Main character, Discord is best villain/ex-villain & non-pony character, and Spitfire is hottest pony & best side character, as well as best Wonderbolt

Yeah, I gotta admit that even though Rainbow Dash is *original* best pony, Pinkie, AJ and most recently Rarity have risen to her level. I know, it's kind of odd having four of the Mane 6 as "best pony", but I can't help it. I just love all four o' them ladies, each for a different reason. But Dashie will always have a special place in my heart for poppin' my...yeah, I'm not gonna finish that sentence.

 

Although unlike many others here, I can't bring myself to lump any extraneous characters like Luna, Spitfire, Discord, etc. into the "best pony" category. They're good characters and all, but...for me, none of them can seem to beat out the Mane 6 (or in my case, Fave 4) in terms of character depth. This is especially true of bona fide background ponies like Derpy or Lyra, I could never in good conscience deem any of them "best pony" given their complete lack of in-show development. Don't get me wrong, the fanon is cool and all, but I've always been one to give my credence canon before fanon.

My faves are Fluttershy, Chrysalis, Luna, Twilight Sparkle, Snowdrop, and Sweetie Belle. I just want to snuggle them all and never let go.

This is especially true of bona fide background ponies like Derpy or Lyra, I could never in good conscience deem any of them "best pony" given their complete lack of in-show development. 

As much as I love Derpy I couldn't call her my favorite pony for that same reason, but if she had some character development in show than I could easily see that being the case. If I had to put her in any spot it would probably be 3rd which would make that spot even more crowded than the top spot with it being occupied by Pinkie Pie, Applebloom and Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash and Sweetie Belle being tied for 2nd. The main reason I like Derpy is one of the main reasons why I like Applejack because of the positive message that a character like her sends. Both Derpy and Applejack send the message that you have to be honest and true to yourself albeit in different ways. Applejack to me is about being true to your values and principles even when it is not always popular or easy while Derpy says that is okay to be different.

Saying the 'best' pony has never worked for me. Whoever I think is 'best' could just as easily be said as my favorites. Not anyone elses. Best ponies is a subjective matter.

 

From my personal standpoint, i love Luna, Octavia, Fluttershy, and Rarity. No reasons why, I can just relate to each. I'm shy, play violin, attempt to always be aristocratic and love the night lol

At first i like Rainbow Dash the most, but now i like Twilight Sparkle the most, but not a lot more than the others.

I just think she is smarter (which she is).

Sure do! It used to be just Rainbow Dash for me, but Lyra and Silver Spoon are now "best ponies" to me as well. I wish they both got more exposure on the show.

I have ponies that would share a second place for best pony, a fourth place, but I have a definate best pony that nopony could rival . The title "Best pony" implies you to only have, one, best pony.

Yes, in fact, I do. It's a three-way tie between Luna, Lyra, and Pinkie Pie. However, I do agree Lyra = Best BG Pony, Luna = Best Princess, and Pinkie = Best Mane 6. I probably like Luna a bit more then the others.

I have a favorite pony (which is Pinkie Pie) but honestly I love a lot of them!

 

I like RD, Rarity, and Twilight as my favorites as well. But I mean if I had to choose one I guess it would be Pinkie! 

 

As for background ponies, I loove Derpy! :3

I don't typically have a favorite out of the mane 6. I love them all. However, I do tend to lean towards RD and Rarity most often. Don't really have a particular reason why either.

Rarity because I just love her attitude so much!

Sweetie Belle because she's adorable and nice and sensible!

Scootaloo because she is a bad mule (get it? xD), and her admiration for Rainbow Dash is adorable.

 

And of course I love Princess Luna.

 

And now I'm starting to like Apple Jack.

not really, best pony is Fluttershy. But I do have a best princess(luna), and best villain(Chrissi).

 

They're best pony in their own categories.....but over all best pony is Fluttershy.

Fluttershy is definitely my all-time favorite because she's absolutely adorable and sweet. Princess Luna is a close seconds because her personality and mannerisms are just hilarious. I personally identity the most with Twilight Sparkle, however, because I was constantly studying and therefore was lacking in the friendship area.
