If you roleplay a lot or read a lot of stories involving OCs, it's possible you'll get a lot more investment out of those characters than those of the show.  It's nothing to be ashamed about, they're just characters you invest a lot more time with and you've grown to like them.

No, I do that a lot! Especially in Equestria Girls.

I'm not really bothered by anything you do. As long as you like what you are doing, I don't mind at all.

The extent of my interest is in things that don't exist.

Or, at least, things that aren't in the basic man's senses

What do you mean "attracted" ? I guess you mean that you like them more by looking at how you write.

But no. Of course it doesn't make you a "bad" brony! Why would it? Since you like your OCs so much, or other OCs, it's probably because you have thoughts around them and you're thinking about things that they could do since it's your character. And when you're thinking about others' characters it may be because you have seen the mane 6 so much, and you know how they are and things like that, you have seen a bunch of things they've done, and now you are curious for other characters and their adventures and what they would do or whatever. You probably just want to see and know more about characters that seem interesting to you, but you don't know much about other than the couple of things that you have made up for them.

Try start writing fanfiction or something! Try it out, who knows, maybe you will love to write about them. Or do a bunch of roleplays! But I suppose you already do that :)

Hey! I get attracted with my OCs too! I often imagine my dear little Chemm and Erlen happily married after their roleplays are done. It just motivates me to roleplay more and see their stories played out :3

I often play out the scenes too... yeah. It's so that I can imagine myself as them for the times I roleplay. It allows me to become more in one with my character when I do need it. And no I don't play out explicit scenes. :P So long as you don't play it out too extremely and realize that you're still you at the end of the day, it's still fine.

Yeah, I mean its not weirder then just having any other fictional crush. Pretty normal, actually. Unless you like your ponysona.... Then that's like having a crush on yourself. Not to say I don't think Windy Runner is a dashing, very handsome, charming OC...... Aaaahhh, what am I saying?!?!

'Course not! I do that too sometimes, so I don't believe there's something wrong with ya.

By the way, I don't think there's any way anyone could ever be a bad brony!

Nope

Heck I have to say I'm quite attracted to a dragon OC i made myself. Doesn't mean you're crazy or anything. You have created a character that has all the traits that you want to see in another person.

We all do.....it's one of the big reason's people make OC's in the first place.

Nah, don't worry, you are 100% normal lol.

If you like the characters you created more, it's because you created them the way you like them.

I personally like the mane six more than the OC's, that's because they are people I would easily befriend.

They're not. one has 21 years old and the other one has 24, to be honest, i only find them sexy when they are anthro, but when i see them as a pony i feel a clean feeling

i'm drawing a comic of my OC and you're right, it's obvious what i feel because i put on them all that i love to see on a girl, they are most likely the perfect girl to me, and in that proccess i truly see them alive and doing what i like the most! :D

It's likely just that if you RP a lot you really grow way more attached to your OC than you do actual canon characters, it's pretty normal, I'd say.

Nothing really wrong with liking your Oc, just means you like qualities in it and maybe through role playing with it have grown to like it.

No, it's not wrong at all. A lot of roleplayers become attracted to their character when they play as him/her, for a long period of time. So, it doesn't make you bad.

Not really.

We all fall for characters we feel for emotionally, so that's nothing to worry about.

Other than that, it doesn't make you bad bud.

If liking OC's more and more is wrong. With the existance of Button's Mother, I do not wish to know what is considered right anymore. LOOK AT HER.

Not really, since I'm literally like Dr. Steinman. I'm creating works of beauty. The imagination of our minds denies us any excuse of creating beautiful art.

When I finish an OC, I just sit back and gaze at it. It's just breath-taking.

Attracted?

OMG! YOU DO THAT TOO!?!?!? I do the same thing! I just watch a show or a movie, and then I either imagine Sonic characters or ponies re-enacting it. /)

No, of course not. Just because you've got your own opinions about something, it doesn't make you a bad person. I mean, some people have different feelings for Twilacorn, but we're all Bronies and we are like one big happy family. We're here to support your opinions, bro.

Here we go again.

The Ponies sapient. Therefor you as a Human also a sapient makes it only Xenophilia to be attached to them. It's the same as Kif and Amy from Futurama, or Commander Shepard and his alien lovers.

There's nothing unusual about developing an emotional attachment to fictional characters.

Here's my story:

I was doing my thing, reading posts on my facebook page, when I saw a link to youtube about Derpy hooves. it looked cute, so I watched it. not really knowing anything about MLP at the time. Derpy was telling her sad story about how she was being called "retarded" and "offensive" for being different. Well, being a social outcast myself, I could relate. And I felt hurt and deeply saddened that a cute, innocent little grey pegasus filly, who only meant to bring joy and laughter into our lives, was being treated like this. I went to the episode "the last roundup" to see what all the fuss was about. Derpy was just being a goof! A little clumsy maybe, But she has a good heart! Since then, I have watched all the way to season 3, and even the movie, Equestria Girls. Sure, I was a little concerned about me, a grown man, actually liking loving the series. But there is no shame in loving a story about finding true friends and helping out any way you can. MLP is a very positive, upbeat, show for anyone. I realized just how much I loved all the characters, when I saw a youtube MOV. called smile hd. big mistake. i was horrified by the way my pony friends were slaughtered. yes i know it's all fiction, but that didn't change my feelings. I actually cried, hot angry tears.

The point being, what you feel is normal. It doesn't make you a bad Brony. Welcome to the herd, enjoy your stay. /)*(\

Many writers knowingly kill off a character if they know their readers like that character. The fact that they care about that character will make them read that book, even if only to watch them die.

But there are cases where that could backfire, as seen in real life. Arthur Conan Doyle killed off everyone's beloved Sherlock Holmes by making him jump off with his nemesis, and when that happened, there was a public outcry in basically all of England. Eventually Doyle had to bring him back and reveal that he didn't die at all.

Personally, I have found that the OC side of the fandom is far more interesting than just talking about the Mane 6. At the risk of sounding nerdy, I like to think of it like videogames. The actual show is like the campaign, it is a lot of the same thing. Now the fandom and say, taking OC's and putting them in place of the main characters, everything is always changing, just like multiplayer in a videogame,
