Mounted Combat?

Does any else have the vision how ridiculous mounted combat would look with Humans on the backs of the sapient MLP FIM Ponies? Say in a silly universe of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

 

Humans and Ponies are friends for the most part, but there's still war with the Evil Cheeseburger Empire and the Cyborg Teletubbies.

 

Horse Archers, on uncrons firing arrow while the unicorn blasts spells at the enemy.

 

Heavily armored Human warriors being dropped into battle by Pegasi.

 

It would make for one hell of a funny medieval RTS game. Or a mod one of the Total War series game like Rome 2.

That's a major disrespect and I say NO to that! But yeah it would look silly and I don't know how ponies would react to such an idea...

Also if you have an unicorn mount you've got a major advantage right there ^^

That would be pretty silly. Having humans on the backs of ponies would look weird, to me. But, having a unicorn or pegasus on your back could really help you.

Probably because there is quite a bit of rule 34 which shows well exactly that as well as the other way around. I wish they would come up with more original names for the humans doing this, they can't all be named Lucky Bastard even if it is accurate.

 

Rush I got to hand it you, you seem to come up with pretty much any scenario involving humans and ponies, I am struggling not the bust out laughing as I am picturing all this in my head.

Alternate universe, meaning these Ponies could be bigger and stronger than normal MLP FIM Ponies. Thus able to carry Humans into battle.

But really if you've seen fanart depicting ponies in war armour it looks pretty badass. I'm sure it would look amazing with pegasi riders flying through the air while the unicorns and earth ponies march below toward their unforunate advesary.

I actually think it would look either hilarious and be enjoyable, or look incredibly awesome and be enjoyable.

 

Either way if it was done right as a game I think it would be pretty good.

Don't really have the tabletop games (too expensive) but my favourite faction is Imperium of Man, Imperial Guard, Death Korps of Krieg.
