Pony Talk (everypony, anypony, etc...)

After searching and searching, I surprisingly can't seem to find a thread like this, so I'm gonna create one.

 

What do you think of pony talk, for example, "everypony", "anypony", etc...

 

Do you use it, do you like it when others use it?

 

Myself, it doesn't really bother me.

It doesn't bother me much. There's only one way I wouldn't like it, and that's if you have terrible grammar when you use it. I can think of one user who does, but I won't say his or her name publicly.

It doesn't bother me at all, I think if other people want to use it they have the liberty to use it if someone actually recognizes the reference. So I guess it doesn't bother anyone.

I find it slightly irritating to downright unbearable, depending on the situation. It just seems weird to hear someone say "everypony" or "nopony" outside of an RP. It just seems... off.

I honestly think it's best used in groups of friends or other bronies. Otherwise it's just confusing and strange.

 

Once, during a training event a couple months ago, I used it over the comms whilst relaying a SITREP to the other gun team (their spotter is a fellow brony)

 

Turns out I wasn't on section net, as I had thought, but actually company net. So my entire company heard that. To include my First Sergeant and Commander.

I did one of these when i joined but that was some time ago,

and i'm sure i said something like "does pony speak bug you" or something like that.

 

I don't ever use it out loud.

Used in the right places, it's fine. I personally think it should only be used with other baronies or talking about ponies. Using somewhere like Media Discussion where ponies don't have anything to do with the discussion can be bothersome, though.

I think it's cool that any fandom should have a mode of speech to distinguish itself. I use it often here on the forums and occasionally elsewhere. I don't use it absolutely everywhere because it wouldn't make any sense to a non-pony fan in most cases so I avoid the odd stares that way. 

But in general, I think it's very cool.

When I use "Pony talk" I do it unconsciously. and only when I'm talking about the show, or writing fanfictions about it.

I only like it when it is used in the show or in RP.

I find it rather silly to actually use it when not quoting the show in discussions on these forums or in actual real life conversations.

I don't even like to use on these forums about MLP FIM let alone using them in day to day conversations.

It doesn't bother me, but I don't want it to become an instinct to say it instead of ''Everybody'', do you know how embarassing it must be to accidentally say it to people in public? In a meeting? In a public speech? When I was first a brony, about eight or so years old, ''Everypony'' was a complete REPLACEMENT for regular talk. Boy must I have gotten a lot of haters.

I hate it. A lot. If it is used in the show, then that's okay, but when used not in the show, I hate it. So much. Even "mane 6" can be annoying.

It always sounds goofy, but it's ten times more out of place and cringey when not referring to ponies.
