Is it possible for Bronies to form a country? Or at least a village?

Yeah... This wouldn't happen. Other countries need to recognize your sovereignty or you exist as a simple micronation. I cant see this happening, we'd probably be as notable as Sealand. Plus if the Pirate Bay couldn't pull this off, I have my doubts that the bronies could.

Maybe, everything is possible but even so I don't think it will ever happen and I think it almost couldn't happen because I don't see how bronies would even get free land and then start to create some type of civilization I think it's possible but not worth it though.

A Friend told me that there was a kickstarter for a small piece of land in the middle of either europe or the USA, the person who started the kickstarter raised about $500 because it was ridiculous but non the less it does have the possibility to exist.

Because sorry but I don't see the logic: if that land you mentioned is in the USA, then it couldn't be a brony country because it's in an already established country.

Why would we go and start a new nation?  What's the reason for it?  Historically, every new nation was:

A. A colony that won its independence from another nation, and/or

B. Founded to set up something new and experimental (Religious freedom, new form of government, etc.)

 

Instating a monarchy, like that of the true Equestria?  It's been determined that humans cannot be trusted with that form of power.  Other countries would ridicule us into oblivion.

Creating a unique country culture that follows that of the True Brony Code ("Love and Tolerate")?  Yeah, let's pretend that's a feasible reason to start a country for a minute; let's pretend that all bronies actually follow the True Brony Code (I know plenty that don't).  That might be nice...for the first fifty years or so.  Then, we'd become so well-known for our kindness, and move into our country to take advantage of it while not sharing our ideas, sullying the purity we once had.  Pennsylvania all over again.

Hrm... Well, would it be any more sustainable than all the other countries if at all? I'm not sure how long it would last.

 

See, just because we seem to get along well enough on an electronic communications medium doesn't exactly mean things'll be so colorful when we're all in person. See, my IRL concerns such as securing food, water, shelter as well as pastimes simply do not affect the rest of you outside of how my mood is affected by it.

 

Look... I do not believe bronies know how to take care of one another and I think it is both a question of skill and will. Not all bronies have enough will and most are very easily daunted in the face of real responsibility and commitment. And then when the will really is there, there is a complete absence of skill which more often than not ends up in big-headed white knights doing more harm than good in their crusades. We really have a lot to learn before I could see even a functional brony village community, let alone a country.

 

Oh and all that talk about having the will and the skills to care for one another will be altogether moot if this country or community or whatever were to fail the secure even the most basic needs for its people. Do you know what happens in an environment where the basic needs are in shortage? People will compete to secure those needs and there will be winners and losers and no commitment to "love and tolerance" is going to really placate that, let alone stop it. 

 

They say when there's a will, there's a way. But without skill, how can anything be EXECUTED? See, we must not only be responsible in our intentions but also take responsibility in properly executing said intentions. Not nearly enough people understand this.

Yes it is possible. First we need to rally most of the bronies to one place. This would be easy after WWIII, since there would be a lot of exile and stuff, we could rally to one place, eg. Tripoli, literally become a vassal of a major power, with them guaranteeing our independence while we let them have a military base. We find some intellectual  to make us a constitution, and the best thing to have would be a balance between capitalism and socialism.

No, because it was it would be stupid. This question seems to be brought up an awful lot for some reason, and quite frankly, it isn't possible. If this was just a silly, "wouldn't it be cool if...", question, it wouldn't bug me, but people seem to be taking it seriously. The fact is: you can't base a country on liking a cartoon. You just can't. This hypothetical country would probably last about a week, tops.

In the matters of land, we don't need it. There are a few countries now (Aerica for example) that exist entirely online but are indeed countries in their own right. Otherwise, we can always take an island in Alaska; I look forward to moving to the uninhabited island of Hagemeister, the size of Jersey.

Take countries like Liechtenstein. This country is a powerhouse (sorta) and runs on 100,000 people. Admittedly, it's protected by Switzerland, but regardless of the actual number bronies have millions. This could easily be done.

EDIT: We should get Notch to have Mojang buy about half of the Ålands, and have a country with a district for the Minecrafters and another for bronies. Mojang could move its headquarters out of the nasty, nasty city of Stockholm and into its own area.

Though there are outliers (myself included) the vast majority of us are between 15 and 25. Let's face it, most of us are barely qualified to take care of ourselves, let abalone establish and run our own nation, particularly if it's just around the loose association of a *fandom*.

 

Sorry guys, we're awesome, but I just don't see the next Jefferson or Washington among us.
