ghostfacekiller39 23,860 February 18, 2014 Share February 18, 2014 I think hot cocoa is good, but only after it's cooled off a bit; keep it "hot" per se, but not served right after it's made He who is Positively Obsessed With All Things Rarity!!! Kitsunin 41 February 18, 2014 Share February 18, 2014 For a sore throat, licorice or hibiscus is great. For congestion, I like wasabi. It's painful, but it really works.
FlickerHush 46 February 18, 2014 Share February 18, 2014 Any type of hot tea with tons of honey. Soothes the sore throat for a few hours. (The best his Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea by Celestial Seasonings ) Also when you have a cold your head hurts a lot (atleast mine does) So what I do is lay down in a dark room and put a cold wet cloth on my head for a little while. Also a lot of sleep is a good idea x3. OH and any type of tissue that has Vicks in them. They are so much better than normal tissues I promise. Mutemutt 773 February 20, 2014 Share February 20, 2014 Cough drops for sore throats; it's the one of the few medicines that actually taste good. As for colds, I usually just wait those out, but I wouldn't call that "remedy" a favorite of mine...

Early Sunsets 2,107 August 14, 2019 Share August 14, 2019 Honey is fairly well-known to help, and I find chicken noodle soup and Sprite Zero to be great for sore throats, too (sugar can make a sore throat worse, which is why I opt for sugarless soda when I'm sick). I absolutely despise sore throats and I do anything I can to make it feel better. Meson Bolt 2,648 August 14, 2019 Share August 14, 2019 Umh... well, I had this one thing where I'd mix up water, apple cider vinegar, ginger, honey, and a little bit of cayenne and heat it up in the microwave. It tasted... well, tasted pretty bad, honestly, but it kicked my sore throat in one night, so. Your family is who you make it out to be.

The Historian 516 August 19, 2019 Share August 19, 2019 When I get a sore throat, I gargle straight hydrogen peroxide. It'll cure what ails ya. Sometimes I just take a big shot of straight vodka. That kills everything on the way down. NZG | RA2M | BBPCG
Patty Thundersnow 4,185 August 21, 2019 Share August 21, 2019 Honey and lemon halls cough drops. Generic robitussion. And plenty of lemon-lime soda pop, sprite is the best. Cash In 22,512 August 22, 2019 Share August 22, 2019 In the case I have a cold, I'll stick to drinking fluids and I'll usually have a teaspoon of lemon and honey. I'm not sure if it actually works, though that's the remedy I was brought up using. At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do. IronM17 5,399 August 24, 2019 Share August 24, 2019 Well, when I have sore throat, I drink a lot of warm tea (I really can recommend ginger tea) or eat a soup. It really helps.
Thuja 3,659 August 24, 2019 Share August 24, 2019 I find some tea or egg drop soup helps with my sore throats. Making egg drop soup is incredibly easy you just need a few ingredients; chicken broth, eggs and maybe sesame oil. Boil up some chicken broth, beat up some eggs, stir the eggs into the broth, let the eggs cook for a minute or two and you're done just add a little bit of sesame oil if you have it. Always makes me feel better and it's great for colder months too!!!

Tacodidra 61,292 August 26, 2019 Share August 26, 2019 Cough medicine with salty licorice flavor is my absolute favorite! Some of those taste so nice you almost forget they're supposed to be medicine. And the same applies to some cough drops. I use the former more, though! 3 Signature by @Sparklefan1234
