Is Sombra the rightful King of Equestria?

Sombra couldn't raise the sun and moon himself obviously, think Luna and Celestia are a little bit more powerful.

The enormous stench of ass pull behind this is ludicrous . When Celestia, the one who forgives Discord on a whim, tries to murder you and says your heart is black as night, you are pure evil. Think of it like this guy turning out to be good all of a suddenWe don't know if alicorn automatically means royalty. Blueblood is royal and he's not an alicorn

What I'm saying is maybe he wasn't evil to begin with. Love does strange things, he could've been a kind ruler, until he was driven mad by his love for Celestia. Maybe she thought that her love might take her mind off ruling Equestria?

There's only a slight implication that Celestia and Sombra were together.  Starswirl said he wouldn't let Celestia put her or his (and its never said who "his" is) kingdoms at risk.  Then Sombra appears at the end of the comic, along with Celestia who looks like she'd spent a week being tortured for fun, so I think Pinkie perry is reaching a little on that one.  I think we should wait for the rest of the series before we draw more conclusions

 

Sombra was never the King of Equestria.  He was just a powerful unicorn who took control of the Crystal Empire in an attempt to take over all of Equestria.  Celestia and Luna stepped in to free the Crystal Ponies and help bring more light and happiness back to all of Equestria.

 

As for the comics showing the villains in a new light, um, you're kinda glossing over that whole "Queen Chrysalis draining the inhabitants of The Land of Love, kidnapping the CMC, trying to destroy Ponyville, and trying to turn Twilight evil"

1. That's more from the Crystal Heart, which I don't think seems to work quite as well with Sombra. It would spread, sure, but not far enough

2. The fact that he was destroyed so easily suggests that double teaming was only a precaution, not a need. Him getting the last laugh is more a testament to his planning ability

3. Celestia and Luna aren't even scratched when they deal that final blow. With Discord, you can clearly see that he kicked their asses up and down the block twice. Against Sombra, he's just sitting on his balcony when they blindside him

People just don't go from being kind to being pure evil because of love. BTW, that is the worst reasoning I have ever heard. Seriously, it's like the writer of a fanfic

Celestia probably looked like that because she just had her ass kicked by her evil twin! And on one of the alternate covers it shows everyponies opposite, including a good Chrysalis! Edited March 21, 2014 by Pinkie Perry

Yeah becasue Unicorns get together and do that all the time lol. Try Alicorns being the only ones able to do that. I would say Sombra would be more inclined to capture and use the two sisters rather than destroy them, just in my own opinion.

No, Celestia and Starswirl the bearded discover a way to travel to different universes. However, Celestia begins visiting one universe behind Starswirls back, and its made pretty obvious that the universe she visits is a parallel of her own.

I suppose, but he needs them just as bad as they need him. I can see it, I think the story has good ideas, I just think that Celestia and Luna together would be a lot more useful to him alive still, they are very powerful alone, probably not to be under estimated. An alicorn that can raise the Sun alone, and one that can raise the moon. Just remember also see Celestia as a teacher in general, and we also catch glimpse of her using a small amount of dark magic at the beginning of Crystal Empires 2 parter with Sombra. She obviosuly has powers she holds back.
