Do looks matter to you?

I've never actually really cared about my appearance in the past, until I got bullied for my looks in high school. Since then, I hated how I looked. I hated everything about myself.

My appearance matters to me a lot. But I never have to worry much....I'm a solid 10  When it comes to looks of other people, like the appearance of a romantic partner, their personality is more important to me, but good looks are always appreciated....that being said, I don't how I got so lucky with my boyfriend, he's got a great personality AND good looks.

Looks are not what matters. Someone can be drop-dead-gorgeous and be a complete dud. I need a personality I can interact with and be stimulated by. Without something to talk about, it's gonna get pretty boring pretty quick. I don't exactly avert my eyes when I see an attractive guy, but that's just appreciation of a nice view, like I would enjoy a nice sunset. But that's as far as it goes. If I can get beauty as well as brains I consider it a nice bonus, but not a deal maker.

To an extent, yes. Physical attractiveness is appealing but more important is how healthy the individual is. Looks fade but it is not an excuse to disregard your body. In other words, if I like your personality, I would prefer you to be around for as long as possible. Though on the other hand, if your personality is terrible to begin with, then I have no strong opinion or investment in terms of your state of health.

I'd say it plays a factor, but it doesn't make or break someone for me. Meaning that if you've got an enjoyable personality, looks aren't going to dictate whether or not I see you as a viable relationship partner. Being attractive will help, obviously, but being unattractive won't harm my view of someone as much as they might think.

Yes. Call me picky, superficial, whatever you want. But in romantic relationships, looks are just as important to me as personality. However in non-romantic relationships, I couldn’t give a rat’s behind about what you look like.

I would say I think looks are important. Not that someone has to be absolutely beautiful in my eyes, but it plays a role whether or not I would want to seek something with them... (Romantically)

That being said I'm also somewhat demi-sexual in that after getting close to one it's like what ever I thought of their looks before (ugly or average etc.) It doesn't matter cuz I just want them now for them now. 

I rated myself 8 😛....9 if I had my abs again jaja 

7 without makeup 

6 when I havent shaved my face, legs, etc. 

But those scores are cuz I don't really like looking too masculine.

They matter to me insofar as that I'd find it hard to feel any initial attraction to somebody who was ugly, but if I fell in love with someone I could look past that (as long as basic hygiene standards/etc were met). But obviously @ridaranka's good looks are a bonus

I used to think looks mattered more in a sense but more I realize today is that really it is all about the person and it being a good person. Since true beauty comes from within, besides that and most people I've met are 10/10 meanwhile myself I only rate at about 8/10 mainly I say that as I feel like rating yourself is somewhat part of the issue. People think in terms of leagues and whatever but really all that truly matters is you manage to click with that person. If your vibe fits their vibe its going to work.

My own looks? Absolutely. I'm currently saving up to have my teeth professionally whitened. If this tooth up front doesn't need bonding then I'll be saving up to have some things done at the spa for my face. I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck with that though. Some of that stuff is way too expensive for how frequent you need to go back. I use about 10 different skincare products on my face. I consume less then 1500 calories a day because I want to stay thin.

With other people however I don't expect the same level of uh obsession that I have with my own lol. Looks matters to an extent for me but it's not all I'm looking for. Personality plays a big part in it for me.

They matter to a certain degree. Looks won’t save a shitty or incompatible personality, for example. But when you’re first meeting someone looks are all you really have to go off of so yeah they matter.
