I know this may be weird of me to ask but can there be any show that can best mlp, well mlp is my 2nd favourite cartoon at the moment, because to me Gravity Falls beats it for me, not to be mean or rude to the show or anything but is it possible for a cartoon to best mlp to you, I am probably the only one on this site that likes a show more than mlp.

Yes there is only one toon to beat FiM. And that is...Arthur! If I had my way, the aardvark and his friends would have as big a fandom as this one!

Beautiful, Stylish, Fabulous AND evil! What more could you want?

I wonder why Arthur doesn't have a fanbase like mlp does.

Well, Arthur started in 1995, before the rise of the net, secondly most think that Arthur's for little kids, despite the fact the fact that the kids(who are 8yrs old) often act more mature than the mane six! I have every episode saved onto a hard drive at home!

Gravity Falls is a very very good cartoon (amazing animation and plots).

Unfortunately, it only has 20 episodes and apparently they don't plan on doing more than 3 seasons... While MLP:FiM has way more characters, episodes and stories than GF. They are not really comparable.

YES!

MLP is amazing, but there are several animated shows and movies that it has yet to eclipse.*

Robotech - Macross Saga US Release

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Danny Phantom

Timmverse DC Animation

Futurama

South Park

Simpsons Seasons 1-8

Lion King

Beauty and the Beast

Snow White

TOY STORY 3

I could go on.

*This question was unfair to MLP. You should have been more targeted. ;)

No way! Sorry dude. That show's just wrong.

A show that comes close to MLP is the old Loony Tunes series.

Until someone resurrects Sam Clemens and Will Rogers ... I'll take my satire anywhere I can get it.

sorry if I offended anyone

No way man. It takes a LOT for me to get offended. A discussion of favorite cartoons can't generate the ire I need to get all Hulk Smash. ;)

Now if you tell me that you are the guy that cancelled Jell-O Pudding Pops ... RUN

No: I’m most obsessed with ponies for sure, but I also watch the Simpsons and Futurama and a less well known British show called Pond Life, but I don’t like any of them over the other. There all good in there own way and have a different feel to each of them, they all have a diffrent recepie to make them what they are.

Pond life? Never heard of it! What channel was it on?

I honestly don't watch that many "current" cartoon shows aside from MLP and some random funny "adult" toons like Futurama. I can't bring myself to compare much of anything to the classics I grew up with (TaleSpin, Gargoyles, Animaniacs) But as far as cartoons that are on the air today, no...nothing really tops FiM for me right now.

I am what is known as a cartoon enthusiast. MLP is just another feather in that cap and while it is quite good (and still relevant compared to most of the things I watch) I have seen so many great cartoons over the years both in series form and standalone.

I admit I don't actually know that many modern ones though. Since I have no cable I can only watch what is available online or on DVD. For the moment there are only two things I obsess over MLP on: Spongebob Squarepants and Ah My Goddess.

I am starting to watch Phineas and Ferb on Netflix though. I loved that show when it first aired but, as I said, haven't had cable in years. Now I get to watch a bunch of it! :D

I tried to watch Adventure Time but wasn't quite in the mood for it. I've seen a couple episodes that seem like it'd be pretty cool but there's just one thing I can't stand: The artstyle. I will never, EVER like the artstyle. Spaghetti arms/legs, deliberately showing each and every tooth being hyper-separated...bleh.

A lot of people do. I personally find MLP to be something around 6/10 as of the present; it's definitely not the best cartoon in the world, and there are plenty of shows much, much better than it. My favorite cartoon is probably Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is a couple of steps above MLP in my opinion.

I can't say much about this. But MLP is sure as hell better than Adventure Time. Regular Show has potential, since it was better when it first started. MLP reminds me of when I was a kid watching cartoons.

MLP, Regular Show and Adventure Time are best Western cartoons!  ;)  they're all so close in greatness I can't really say any are better than the other. Obviously they're all just very different than each other.

Well...cartoons vary a whole lot so it's difficult to decide which ones are "better" than others. There are times when I can't be bothered watching some, others when I can't think of anything other than watching it. For me MLP is in the same league as cartoons like Gravity Falls, Adventure Time and Steven Universe: they're all simply genius. Generally I feel Gravity Falls and Adventure Time are better than MLP but not by much. :P

I stopped watching Adventure Time, PPG and Regular Show at their 3rd season, it's generally at the 3rd season cartoons start to fade in my opinion.

It also applied to MLP:FiM, but I loved the 2nd season so much I kept on watching, and fortunately the 4th season was awesome. :)

Regular Show: I didn't like that Mordecai and Margaret were both in love. And the episodes started to become too surrealistic.

Adventure Time: It became too weird.

I'm most obsessed with MLP too. Looney Tunes, Animaniacs and Simpons comes in my favorite list too. . I tried to watch Regular Show and Adventure Time, but I haven't seen that for years.

MLP is love, MLP is life.

This is fact.

OD'd on nostolgia.

I'm a big fan of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Don't obsess over any other cartoons much.

Though I do like the 2010 TMNT cartoon. Haven't seen much of it though.
