  1. I have no concept of time. I sleep when I'm tired, and I eat/drink when I'm hungry/thirsty. I generally lightly snack on a constant basis, so whether it's the middle of the day or the middle of the night, it makes no difference to me.
  2. Ech. Never a fan of these as they always go into great detail about states across North America, whilst lumping the rest of the world into larger groupings. We get it, you have a population of 319(USA) and (35) million, a bunch of states, and a large area of land. It should only be fair that if you go into such detail about one country, you should go into equal detail for the rest of the world. France and Germany are as different to each other as Canada and the US. Likely even more so. As with China and Japan(lumped into 'Asia'), or Egypt and Johannesburg(lumped into Africa), Australia and Papua New Guinea(lumped into Oceania/Australia), and so on so forth. This is a good thread and at least some consideration has been taken towards the non-American population, and maybe as a non-American I feel a little salty about it, but I still feel like it's a case of "Where in America do you live, or do you live somewhere else?". Makes us feel a little minimised is all. If it was just asking about specifics across America, it'd be fine. Or if it reduced everything to a country-by-country basis. To properly contribute to the thread, this post comes to you from an Australian in the Northern Territory. I won't select the option in the poll, just because I want to drive in the point that I'm not a New Zealander, Indonesian, Papua New Guinean, etc.
  3. That's not a healthy outlook, bro. I understand having the attraction towards fictional characters, it's perfectly fine to find elements of characters(fictional or otherwise) appealing. But if you're genuinely of the belief that she's a sentient being and you're in a relationship with her, you need to re-assess your position. It's not a healthy outlook on life. I'm saying this honestly and for the betterment of you. I've been around plenty of people who are of the same mindset and it does not work out. It's fine to admire a fictional character, but at the end of the day you need to understand that they're not real. I'm introverted, I hate connecting with other people. That feeling of not being understood by them. But this ain't the way to go about circumventing that. You've got your whole life ahead of you. Please kill me. What is even going on today?
  4. Check the tag to see if it says it's safe to wash. If it is, wash it following the instructions it gives(whether it's machine wash or hand wash only, as well as if hot water is fine - though I think that with that mane, hand wash may be the only option). Vinegar is a good anti-bacterial liquid to add to the water and won't get soap caught right through. Alternatively you can just liberally coat the mold covered areas in baking soda, leave it for several hours, and then brush it off with a fine brush/comb. Repeating until the mold has been successfully wiped clean. In the future I suggest easing up on such acts with your toys, as it's an easy way for germs to cultivate and spread. Just think of how many times you put your face to it when the mold was there but too small to notice.
  5. v a p o r w a v e https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oBbJg_PqbU Really it's all down to personal taste. Neither genre takes more or less skill or passion to pull off, and anybody who thinks otherwise is just arrogant and elitist over their preferred music genre. I like many rock songs, and I like many dubstep songs. In the same vein, I dislike plenty of both. I judge on a song-by-song basis. If I had to choose one or the other, I'd probably go with dubstep as I think I could be content with playing it in multiple scenarios - lyrical music can easily throw me off when focusing intently on certain things.
  6. I'm not generally a fan of tomato sauce. I'll have it in certain scenarios, and wouldn't turn down a meal just because it had tomato sauce on it. But I wouldn't actively put it on my hotdog. I prefer copious amounts of mustard on my hotdogs.
  7. I think this is more just a convenient coincidence, as Lauren Faust's original designs for Fluttershy were that of an Earth Pony. That or later in the show her filly design was made in reference/homage. I don't believe that her being considered a flutterpony would have been a defining design trait. There certainly are interesting similarities, and I'd be open to that direction being taken when expanding on her character. Perhaps an opening for her parents' introduction? Fluttershy's brother has been confirmed to appear in a future episode.
  8. Nah, I have no qualms with the liberal use of unique expressions. So long as they use the right ones for the moment, then there's no issue with it. It adds a little flair to the visual qualities.
  9. I don't want to see too much depth put into any of the technology used. I consider many of the locations to be isolated within themes and time periods. I like that places like Manehattan are very modern, whilst places like the Crystal Empire are very much still in the traditional fantasy setting. I would be fine seeing trucks and computers and modern aeroplanes in Manehattan, but wouldn't like to see them in Canterlot. In the opposite direction, I'd like so see magi-tech used in places like Canterlot and Cloudsdale, but not in places such as Manehattan. I also like that they've often substituted vehicles and tech that we have here, to be more fitting for their universe. For instance the fact that there's few if any motor vehicles in Manehattan; all replaced by horse-drawn carriage taxi services. I like that each location has its own level of technology that befits the particular theme and time.
  10. Sorting out my new avatar and several gifs for elsewhere. :3
  11. I hold it in very high esteem and consider it to be the next generation of virtual experiences. It's a long-term investment; I don't expect it to suddenly explode with popularity among the common population. But it'll get there in due time as more and more people put interest and support into the platform. It's only the beginning, too, as we eventually find better and more immersive ways to handle VR. I imagine one day where taking an exotic cruise to the Bahamas or fighting dragons atop a volcano, will feel the same as whether you're actually there or simply relaxing in a bed at home.
  12. Unsurprising. VR is gonna be costly as it's still such a niche piece of technology. I really have to stress to that this shouldn't be regarded negatively. It won't matter who people go to, VR tech in this day and age will be pretty expensive. I don't own a PS4, so I'll probably be more inclined to look at something like the Oculus as my gear. But even so, it's safe to say that there is no need to grab any VR gear just yet. Giving it a few years will allow the tech to advance, becoming cheaper and better whilst also having a better catalogue of games at their disposal. I'm certain that these companies also know that VR tech will take a while to catch on.
  13. Regularly, no. I have the disposable no-nicotine ones every now and then as I like the taste and sensation. I'd like to get a proper one so I can enjoy more flavours and have it more casually, but at the moment it's a luxury I can't afford. I'm not a smoker of regular cigarettes, and am keen on keeping it that way.
  14. Gotta give my vote to the clear leader. She's headlined the show since its inception and she'll be headlining it for a good long while yet.
  15. I'm not an Apple user, and quite dislike many of their products. This just makes me dislike their decisions even further. Restricting people to wireless headphones(or if possible corded but through the port at the base) is just a severely daft idea. Even worse if they preface it with an attempt to push their own branded headsets at the forefront of the decision. There's no reason why such an option should be removed and "we want to make it really thin" is completely a marketing gimmick. Nobody actually cares if their mobile is a millimetre or so thicker than whatever other brand is out there. Samsung have also been on my chopping block for their entirely irresponsible decision to remove the ability to replace the phone batteries. I love my S4 to pieces, but it's on its third battery because of overheating(a combination of terrible climate conditions and bad luck). The irreplaceable battery is one of the reasons why I decided against going the Apple route. If I recall correctly, that was all part of 'making the phone thinner and compact' too.
  16. If she were a part of the school, I could see her as the groundskeeper. Managing all the greenery and keeping it nice and healthy. If she wasn't a part of the school, I'd imagine her to be the curator of a museum.
  17. Attempting to explain to mature adults the psyche of a teenager, is like trying to sell an apple to people who only eat oranges. The amount of direct ignorance to any form of reason is purely astounding.

Yep. So it baffles me that they suddenly lose the ability to understand and sympathise with how teenagers feel and what they go through.

Of course, I don't dismiss all parents. There are as many good parents as there are as many bad ones. But even so, it's a minority who actually do what's best for their next generation. Too many adults are focused on their children being paragons of their ideal person, that they dismiss any difference in personality as a flaw to be buffered out. Not their fault entirely, it's the human condition. But it gives no right to ignore all reason should it defy their own ideals.

  18. Music is an art and art is purely subjective. We can imagine up a facade of objectivity through collective similarities in preference, but this is only an illusion created by our need to rank things through social averages. There's no such thing as good music or bad music; only popular and unpopular. You can take the most nonsensical and tone-deaf piece you can find, and someone is bound to find it naturally appealing. As such, you can find what you'd consider the pinnacle of music creation, but someone is bound to think of it as utter rubbish. It's the same for all art.
  19. Worst reformation? King Sombra. I'm still waiting for him to un-vaporise.
  20. While I've never had much interest in those particular videos, I highly oppose the idea behind censorship and removal of content that disagrees with one's personal preferences. So long as his actions weren't taking potential revenue from Hasbro nor putting their IPs at risk, then they have very little right to disable his production. Yes, the videos were unsavoury topics. But there's no evidence to support that they did Hasbro or it's assets any tangible damage. Yes, I'm surprised that this wasn't an event that had occurred until now. But beyond the videos' content this is just yet another action made by a company's legal department in attempts to stifle unaffiliated creative use of characters. Hasbro no doubt had little issue with the mature content, and instead were worried about something outside of their direct ownership becoming too big. I'd not be surprised if we next hear about them offering him a position as an animator.
  21. While it's an interesting prospect, alongside those such as quantum foam, there is very little evidence to support its tangible existence. Unfortunately we just lack the capabilities to understand the universe at such a level. And while people can use their imaginations to think up even the most alluring of hypotheses, They're no more as solid as the single universe theory. It's an aspect that we cannot physically observe in our current time.
  22. Yeah, of course there was no need for the specific colours to be there as you have all the hex codes there. It was more just a suggestion for making the overall piece look nicer.
  23. Not significantly necessary, but it's probably a good idea that for every instance you have a gradient(such as eyes) you also include a block for the lightest and darkest parts of said gradients. Because when selecting the colour directly via an eyedropper tool, the gradient will make it so you're never getting the original two colours that make it up.
