Hi, everybrony, from a closeted brony!
Flutterbee replied to twilightsparkled's topic in Welcome Plaza
Welcome, hopefully in time you will be able to come out of the stable. It can be hard because society has a standard of what a guy is supposed to be like. They expect us to be violent and only think about sex and killing stuff, or having sex while killing stuff. When we like something pure and clean and good, people think there is something wrong. Don't ever be ashamed of it though, be proud. Also yes I agree Twilight Sparkle is best -
I've been excited about this game ever since I found out about it a month ago. I have a feeling that when it is released that I won't be doing much else online that isn't work related. I haven't played a graphical MMORPG in awhile. I would have gotten back into one of them but I'm holding off for Equestria online.

I have relatives that have apple orchards. Apple cider for them is a big deal. People really do go out of thier way for fresh, unprocessed cider. It is a great treat when I'm able to get some. Very rare for me since I live very far from them and only see them about every 2 years. The fresh stuff is nothing like the stuff in the store.

Which CMC will get a cutie mark first?
Flutterbee replied to Princes Cadance's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
If it is in the two parter, which I think is a very high chance of happening. I stick with the order I stated. Scootaloo gets hers very early in the first episode and the rest is all about her helping SB and AB get thiers. Sweetie Belle gets hers at the very end but the episode ends in AB being very sad and upset that she doesn't have hers yet and perhaps wanders off and gets into a bunch of trouble. On part two the other two CMC's find her and rescure her and assure her that they are always a team and will stick together until they all have thier cutie marks. At the end of that episode AB gets hers as well. Sounds boring the way I type it, but the awesome writters at Hasbro would make it really good. -
For a very long time Fluttershy has been my favorite. As Twilight has proven herself to be more and more of a leader and isn't always doing the reports at the end, I love her more and more. I've recently said that TS and FS are now tied as my favorite. I can see TS becoming my favorite though. I certainly like her look better and I can relate to her the best... Yeah she's my favorite now. I'd like to officially join the Twilight Sparkle fan club.

Twilight Sparkle - At first I saw here as a very smart pony, but a loner. I see a lot of myself in her. I've always liked her, but lately I like her even more. She has matured into a leader. I think that started in Bridle Gossip or Pinkie Keen. She sees things other ponies don't see. In time she seems to know the other ponies better than they know themselves. Fluttershy - Like everyone else I dawwed at her in the first episode. I've always loved Fluttershy. At first she was my favorite pony by far, now she is pretty much tied with Twilight Sparkle. Not because I like Fluttershy any less but because I like Twilight Sparkle even more. I've found that in a pinch Fluttershy can be very brave. It may seem like she is weak and helpless, but she always comes through in a pinch. I think she is the one I still always want by my side. She won't do anything except be cute except when she really needs to be, but when she comes out she really comes out. Rainbowdash - Before I became a brony and had only seen A Party of One, Rainbowdash was my favorite. Now I just like her. She is Cocky and arrogant and sometimes lazy. She's too sure of herself and gets into trouble. She could really use a bit of Humility. Hopefully now that she's reading we will see some positive changes in her. Applejack - She seems to see herself as the older sister and as a leader. Thing is Twilight Sparkle does the better job. Applejack may be a very very hard worker but she pushs herself too hard and ends up causing problems. She would never expect anything of another pony that she cannot do for herself. Lately though I've found that AJ can be very dishonest with herself. She lies to herself and twists her own perception of reality in order to satisfy herself that she is being honest, when in reality she is not. Rarity - At first I saw rarity as a stuck up prissy that just uses her charms to get what she wants and have others (spike) do things for her. Now I see her as a stuck up prissy that just uses her charms to get what she wants and have others do things for her. Rarity is my least favorite and I wouldn't watch MLP if the others were like her. Still she does contribute to the story and can step out of her normal self from time to time, though it is rare and she has a hard time doing it. Pinkie pie - at first I thought I kinda understood Pinkie Pie as the extreme extrovert who really loves to be around other ponies. A great friend when things are going good but too easily offended. I still partially think that but the more I have seen of Pinkie Pie, the less I understand her (and the more I like her). I'm now extreamly confused about who Pinkie Pie is. Sometimes I wonder if she is even really a pony. I've found myself saying the same thing as the other ponies now. Every time I can't understand her (every episode) I find myself saying "she's just being pinkie pie"

Do You Like the Opening Sequence of the Show?
Flutterbee replied to Skar's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
The intro song is slightly better than just ok to me, but not quite what I would consider good. I guess I would give it a 6.5. I listen to it about 70% of the time but sometimes skip it. The reason I'll skip it is just because it is always the same and I want to get on with the show. Usually when I watch episodes I'll watch about 3 in a row so I tend to want to skip it on the 3rd show. -
showed guy mlp, hates show, calls him troll.
Flutterbee replied to kitty chan the brave's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I have a few friends that won't give the show a chance, but are still my friends. A few others that watched it and didn't like it. Some of them later watched more and started liking it. Most of my friends enjoy at least some aspects of it. At least I can get them to listen to some of the awesome music or parodies like Epic Pie time. -
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the voice of Masterchief is the same as the voice in this video? http-~~-//youtu.be/8er83h9Bbn8

When I was brand new as a brony (I'm still fairly new), I made a similar comment to one of my friends about how surprised I was that the community was so nice and accepting. He made a pretty good point that I will make now. You find support in friendship in this community because of what it is all about. My Little Pony teaches all about the magic of friendship. There are very strong moral lessons taught in each episode, because all of us are fans of this show of course it is going to be a major impact on how the community reacts to each other. Since it is all of us it is even doubly so. When we get treated this way by the community we tend to treat others that same way and the chain of kindness and friendship continues. We have 36 year old, manly military men talking like I am now. I would never have talked this way while I was on active duty before MLP. Some of this carries on to those outside this community also. This show and this fandom really is changing the world, one person at a time. Imagine what this community.. no, the world... is going to be like if this continues?

I've heard lots of stories about how MLP has changed peoples lives for the better and quite a few about how they might be dead if not for MLP. It is amazing that this little girls show touches so many people. It is just something that cannot be explained and should just be enjoyed. I don't have a story like that, I'm really not that much different after ponies than before. It has certainly made my life better though. It makes it easier for me to make new friends when we have ponies in common and I'm rarely bored.

Which CMC will get a cutie mark first?
Flutterbee replied to Princes Cadance's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Sweetie Belle is my favorite CMC but I think Scootallo will be the first to get her cutie mark... Here is why. Scootallo has had the least amount of love on the show yet, yet is most defined in what she does. She loves to race on her scooter. I think it is going to be related to that. Sweetie Belle of course is an amazing singer, but she is too shy on the stage. I think she would need the push of one of her friends getting the mark first to get her past her stage fright. I'll have her pegged for being 2nd. Applebloom is too devoted to the CMC thing. I think she really needs to find herself. I don't think it will happen until the CMC is disbanded. Therefore I have AB tagged to be branded last. -
I love hearing stories about how others became bronies as well as sharing others. I haven't read any of your stories yet but I will soon. For now I will share mine. (Yeah, I'm posting so I can get my avatar up). I've been a member of Kongregate for the past 6 years or so. I've hung out in the Prinnyland chat room all that time talking to the same ole regulars on there. About 7 months ago I think several of my long time friends started posting about MLP and how good it was. Having an open mind I gave it a try. They collectivly agreed that Party of One was the best episode to introduce someone with. Well, I didn't fall in love at the time. I agreed the characters were well devolped and great acting, however I found the story to be very shallow, predictable, and bland. I found the brony community continuing to grow though and my friends continuted to chat about it quite regularly. Well I decided I would go ahead and start with the first episode and watch episodes in order until I had either seen them all or grew tired of the show. The very first episode I loved very much, especially the part where TS meets FS for the first time (they are now my two favorites for more than just that scene). I watched the first 4 episodes and during episode 4 I knew I was hooked. My friends had warned me that episode 4 is the point of no return and they were right. At that point I was shedding manly tears but couldn't watch any more because my sugar count was getting too high. Instead I registered on everypony.com to tell them that they had a new member and also went back onto Kongregate to tell all them that I was joining the herd. The next day I watched through episode 9 and my life has been pony filled ever since. Now I'm working on getting a Wyoming brony meetup group together and also bringing MLP merchandise into my store I now have two IRL friends and regular customers at my store that have become bronies and have seen just how large this community is. I used to think there were thousands of bronies, now I have learned that there are millions of us. I'm pretty open about my bronihood but don't currently have any merchandise. I find that bronies are easy to get along with and have found that MLP has changed many peoples lives for the better. Even saved some peoples lives. I also just love all the fanbased things, custom made ponies and all the pony music. Favorite songs are Avast Fluttershy's arse and Fluttershys Lament. Now to get my profile pic and do some reading.

Hi Spark, it sounds like you and I became bronies at about the same time. It was sometime after Yule but before New years for me. I just call it Jan 1st to keep it simple. I'm brand new to this forum also though I have been active on everypony.com and ponysquare.com also.

This is what happens to any supporting companies
Flutterbee replied to Ezynell's topic in Merchandise
I like the McDonalds ponies a lot better than what I find at Walmart and similar stores. I haven't eaten at a McDonalds in at least 10 years but will probably eat there next month at least a couple of times. I may not need to though because I am finally getting some MLP toys at my store and will be keeping at least some of them for myself. I really don't have any money to spend on MLP stuff anyway since I'm currently $6k in the hole but I think keeping a few store items for myself, or getting some toys with a meal that I need to eat anyway, is acceptable. -
Thats funny, on Everypony.com there are a lot of members older than me. I'm still fairly older than the average pony, but not by a lot. Anyway I look, feel, and act younger than I really am and the majority of my friends are much much younger than me. I do own a gamers store after all and that tends to attract younger people

First about my name. I first used the name Flutterbee for an alternate character in an oldschool online rpg called Shilla. It has since become my brony name. The character Flutterbee war originally a Pixie, now it is a pygmie pony that cares for flowers. I don't really roleplay though. Anywhere you see the name Flutterbee in Pony related things it is probably me. I'm sure I know some of you already. A little about me IRL: I'm 36 years old, 14 years Army vetern, and a small business owner. The business is Cyborgs Puzzles & Games in Cheyenne, Wyoming. For a long time I've been a member of Kongregate where several of my long time friends started talking about this silly girls show that they said were really good for adult males too. After several months of more and more of them getting into it, I gave it a chance... but it just wasn't for me. I thought it was ok but I just wasn't a TV watcher. Well a few months later I decided to watch episodes starting from the beginning and see if I ended up watching them all. By episode 4 I was hooked and joined everypony.com. Now I'm working on getting a meetup group to meet at my store once a month and am also bringing pony merchandise into the store. I've also encouraged a few others to give it a try who have since come to enjoy the show. I guess that will about do it for now. Guess I need to make 4 more (quality) posts now.
