  1. Or they could just be unaware of it... In the extremely unlikely chance that any of my fan material is found and flagged (none of it was that popular) as a violation of copyright, going up against a multi-million dollar corporation is pointless because they have more money for lawyers (and to throw at the judge). So I would obviously have a lot more to lose if I didn't immediately terminate all projects and erase any evidence of their existence-even the name of this profile would probably fall into that category. So I'm not sure it's worth the risk.
  2. What I mean is; Out of fear of receiving a Cease and Desist order and a resulting lawsuit, I've been considering shutting down fan projects that I've been working on (all of which are non-profit) . My Timelord Rainbow Dash tumblr is (as the name implies) a combination Doctor Who/FiM ask blog and I am now beginning to question whether it technically falls under 'Fair Use' in copyright law or if I should quit while I'm ahead and delete the whole thing. Fan-art if it looks similar enough to the show (which is one of the reasons I've heard is a potential cause for the Cease and Desist order for Button Mash), then it would probably be best if I avoided creating art as well, despite being in traditional form the ponies (and Spike) can all easily be recognized as who they are intended to be. Fanfiction feels like its in the same area, especially since the site I write for doesn't take too kindly to song lyrics-partial or full-to be used since apparently it's still possible to get sued for works like that. So should I just quit?
  3. In all honesty I was expecting to either hate this episode or be incredibly bored by it after noting the Pie family's characteristics from 'Cutie Mark Chronicles'. But, I was glad to see that this is probably one of my favorite episodes of this Season as well as one that made me laugh a lot-especially since Maud's personality is the opposite of Pinkie's (I can't take too much Pinkie Pie in one sitting-too hyper) and it's good to see that her sister is a bit more chilled out. Maybe it was because of her attitude, her coat, her mane, and her monotone voice-but, she reminded me a lot of Raven from Teen Titans.
  4. She's even funnier considering the fact that she's the polar opposite of her sister (The Element of Laughter, ironically.) I think think that takes pretty skillful writing.
  5. So far I kind of like it as there was really only one episode in the season I truly despised (Rainbow Falls), but as much as I'd like to reserve judgement I'd have to say I'm neutral on this Season since I liked all of the episodes up until that one and others have just felt 'meh'. I believe that only if it drops back down to Season 3 quality with two maybe three good episodes after being cut in half to thirteen extremely rushed episodes again, should we be worried. But, I'm still confident until the finale that this Season will still end up being as good as 1 and 2.
  6. This episode was okay. I get that Applejack is overprotective because she's the big sister and family is really important to the Apples, but tihe ending confused by her complete 180 after Applebloom was nearly eaten alive-it seemed like she should have had the opposite attitude after what she had been like for the first two-thirds of the episode. It also felt kind of weak that Applebloom called her sister for help, since it felt like it would have driven the point home better for AJ if she took care of the chimera on her own by outsmarting it without her help. Other than that I didn't really have any problems with it. The chimera was pretty metal and I'd like to know if it (they) had actual name(s) as well as what the location with all of the fire is called-some think it was Tartarus, but I'd like to hear from one of the writers before submitting it to my heacanon. Scootaloo's joke about skipping the song made me laugh and is a good reminder that the show doesn't feel that it's above of poking fun at itself. 7/10.
  7. This episode confused me... The premise itself was simple enough, relatable, and in-character for both Applejack given the strong value the Apple's place on family as well as Applebloom wanting to be treated more maturely. But, it confused me that Applejack decided that it was okay to be less protective of Applebloom after she was nearly shredded apart by the chimera, when it seemed to me that would have made her even MORE overprotective and paranoid that her sister would do something else insanely dangerous and get hurt if she ever took her eyes off her again. At least, that's the impression I got with her Twilight Sparkle levels of anxiety over Applebloom's safety.
  8. Sombra's magic appears to be the same as Alicorn magic in the Season 4 premiere so...maybe stallions can become as powerful as Alicorns, but never actually become one?
  9. Filli Vanilli did give the impression that she completely forgot the lesson which she was supposed to learn by 'Pinkie Pride' as in that episode, realizing Dash's discomfort was her epiphany and her actions in 'Filli Vanilli' would have been good foreshadowing for her lesson in the episode.
  10. Shining Dash (Shining Armor x Rainbow Dash) I blame the 'Rainbooms and Royalty' fic for introducing the ship to me and getting me invested in it.
  11. This episode was just 'okay' for me, since it was kind of boring and felt like it dragged on a bit. Spike's accident seemed to serve the purpose of showing how frustrating it is to be a breezy, but otherwise felt like filler with how quickly it was resolved and forgotten about. When the Mane Six were turned into Breezies, it seemed a little weird to me in-universe, but despite my confusion I have to admit Rainbow's dialogue with Twilight at the end was quite amusing. So for the most part it felt pretty dull for me, which is why I only consider it to be an 'okay' episode.
  12. If the future; Dragon Dash or Griffon Dash please Hasbro!
  13. Huh, I didn't recognize him with the way his mane looks wearing the headband.
  14. Who is that stallion with Rainbow Dash and Flitter? I don't think we've ever seen him before...
  15. I didn't care for it. The central theme for Twilight's Princess status as a plot point is something I felt would have worked better near the beginning of the Season, rather than midway through as Ponyville and the Mane Six were still dealing with her being a princess as it was relatively new at the time and the suspension of disbelief with other fillies and colts not knowing that they hung out with Twilight wouldn't have to be as strong. Especially when they've seen them speaking with Twilight on various occasions in several previous episodes before her coronation and this would have easily tied in with her insecurities displayed in the premiere. The fact that the Cutie Mark Crusaders want Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara's approval makes little sense as they've mentioned the teasing and bullying they've had to endure for the past three and a half seasons. Overall, aside from its episode feeling out of place with its continuity and character issues-it felt like a filler episode and the Cutie Mark Crusaders willingness to use their friend Twilight and advance their social standing sheds a negative light on the characters as it is the same attitude Diamond Tiara has expressed in past episodes including 'Ponyville Confidential'. 5/10
  16. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are not the kind of fillies one should seek the approval of, much less be hung out with, especially given the way they have treated the Cutie Mark Crusaders in the past-especially 'Ponyville Confidential' and 'Flight to the Finish' makes this attitude feel forced.
  17. I could see Telly and Ernie going to a Brony convention. I also see Gonzo as a Brony for some reason...
  18. Even though I actually suffer from autism (and while I disagree), I don't find your conclusion offensive in the slightest because I understand why you believe as such and you do make a compelling case. I believe that the writers were trying to make her cut and spontaneous or 'random' to better match her element of 'Laughter' and the thought of her having autism probably didn't cross anyone's mind at the time of the show's development stages. However she definitely has some character traits that lean towards the fact that she has something. Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD); - In 'Too Many Pinkie Pies' the majority of the clones are easily distracted when one notices the frog accidentally crossed with an orange and the remaining is with Rainbow Dash's claim that someone was making balloon animals. -In 'Three's A Crowd' she chases after Fluttershy proclaiming that she would 'never forget her' just before doing so when becoming distracted by a balloon floating by and chasing after it. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); Bouncing around everywhere, frequent partying, obnoxiously loud and easily excitable as well as the great difficulty she has holding still as mentioned by Twilight in the aforementioned 'Too Many Pinkie Pies' as well as Pinkie saying that she only held still for so long because she feared having to leave her friends. Or a combination of the two seem much more likely to me.
  19. 'Fanastic Mr. Fox' based on the stop motion Wes Anderson film all of the way back in 2009. (Though I took it down.) Heath Ledger's Joker from 'The Dark Night' taking off a clown mask with blood-like font asking; "Do I really look like a man with a plan?"
  20. That's a hard one, but I was eventually swayed by the fact that brownies can harden to the point that they feel like they could break your teeth after a few hours. Whereas cupcakes seem to stay fresher longer.
  21. I don't need or feel like they should be, but... Originally I believed them to be in their late teens, but Dash's cake had 21 candles during 'Pinkie Pride', but that hasn't kept me from keeping them around that age in my headcanon as that evidence is admittedly debatable due to Cheese and Pinkie's eccentricity. With that said, I think it might be best if the ages remain relatively ambiguous as Equestrian society is different from ours as someone else has mentioned they seem to age differently than real world ponies.
  22. Trenderhoof was pretty bland and in that regard to me-unlikable. There's also the fact that leading up to the 'Best Night Ever' she wanted to win the love and affection of Prince Blueblood and dreamed of Princess Celestia marrying them and as someone else has mentioned, despite claiming to have had crush on him for so long-we have never seen or heard of this guy until this episode. He also leads into the Spike neglect, which I personally felt to be more brutal than any other instance when she asks how he could possibly know what it's like to have an unrequited crush-and if it were me and I girl that I had crush on like that said the same thing to me it would feel like a stab through the heart. And of course he is also the root cause for the love triangle issue as well, which is another mark against the guy.
  23. Overall, I thought it was just okay, it could have been better-but, Pinkie really dragged it down by messing with Fluttershy and instead of just getting annoyed or being unfazed by her antics-I was actually starting to get really angry. I was pleased with a Jackalope appearing (the bunny with antlers) at beginning showing more mythical creatures existing that aren't just restricted to one regions mythology. It was nice to see Zecora again, along with her sage-like wisdom and continuity nod along with having the name 'Flutterguy' used in canon. Personally, I found it strange that after all of this time the revelation of stage fright was such a shock to everyone when every single one of the mane cast has known her for at least a year and the fact that performing in front of large audiences is something that she is not a fan of (which makes 'Rainbow Falls' even weirder with her volunteering). The fact that Pinkie was so out of character was also something that irritated me quit a bit as she seemed intent on tormenting Fluttershy, which is the exact opposite of what Pinkie is supposed to be and it has been shown that she has a large amount of consideration for her friends as seen in 'Pinkie Pride' and that they are the center of her universe in 'Party of One'-not to mention her Smile Song. What makes this even worse is back Season 1, she is infuriated by Gilda reducing Fluttershy to tears and proclaiming that 'NO ONE TREATS FLUTTERSHY LIKE THAT! NO ONE!', yet she does the very same thing in this episode, making her seem like a hypocrite. All of this makes Rarity smacking her early on quite satisfying as she certainly deserved it with her actions.
  24. Just for the record; I have never defended Applejack in 'Bats!' and frowned upon her and the rest of the Mane Six ganging up on Fluttershy. I believe that the reason is because there are other fans that just don't like Rarity (as is the case with a friend of mine), only others will look for any excuse to attack her because of their disdain and feel sorry for Applejack being a 'background pony' (despite having at least ONE episode in every. single. season.) So I think audience bias has lot to do with it.
  25. Personally, I've always believed it to be so, and I hold that belief to this day; Being cut in half to a mere thirteen episodes did not help, the majority of it felt very sloppy and rushed with the exception of two or three episodes, the lack of a Rarity episode is also considered to be a negative by a few. But, I also do not want my opinion (or anyone else's for that matter) to steer you away from it so you can watch it and judge it based upon its own merits.
