  1. A bunch of random bar and flip phones up until my first smartphone in 2009. The only ones that really stood out were the Nokia 5190, 8250, and Sony-Ericsson T616. Those things were tanks. I dropped the T616 from a second story stairwell. It hit two sets of stairs on the way down and landed in a bed of rocks hard enough to knock the SIM loose. Reseated it and was on my way. HTC Nexus One in 2009. Samsung Galaxy S II in 2011. Samsung Galaxy S IV in 2013. Waiting on rumors of the new, larger iPhone 6. S5 is pretty ho-hum imo coming from a 4.
  2. Partly cloudy, 64 degrees with a slight breeze. Wonderful.
  3. Desktop: Intel Core i5-3570K with a light o/c 4.1 GHz, 16GB RAM, GeForce GTX 670 on Dell U3011/U2312HM, Samsung 840 250GB, 2xWD storage drives, CM QuickFire Pro (MX Brown), Logitech G9x, Seasonic M12 620W, Windows 8.1 Pro Media Center Laptop: Intel Core i7-4700HQ, 8GB RAM, GeForce GT 750M SLI, Plextor M5S 256GB, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Tempted to build a new PC, but difficult to justify the price. Don't really have any issues running anything.
  4. Shadow Warrior 2013, months ago... pretty great for $10, imo.
  5. Tile ALL the backgrounds and bring back broken counters and under construction GIFs. <3 90's web design

      Don't we all?

  6. TV I could live without. Ditched cable a few years ago, TV sits there basically to collect dust and play the occasional Wii U game. No Internet though? I might have to get a hobby or two... Perish the thought.
  7. It depends on the game, any of those could be awesome. A few of my favorites... Menu Selection: Menu theme from Super Smash Brothers Melee: Theme: Deus Ex Main Title Theme: Battle: Star Ocean 3 Battle Theme: Atmosphere: Sims 3, Amazing Facsimile: Stage: Doom II, Into Sandy's City: And then there are pieces that just go really well with the action, last mission of Saints Row 3 (spoilers, obviously): My 2c
  8. If that makes you strange, then I guess I'm in the same boat.
  9. Welp, back to work tomorrow...

Work?! How do you have a job? I'm jelly >.>

  10. Smash Brothers and Mario Kart on the Wii U. The new Doom, but I don't have my hopes up for that one.
  11. There's a ton but here a few off the top of my head... Legend of Zelda (original), Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess Double Dragon II (NES) Deus Ex 1 Need for Speed 1, 2, Underground 1/2, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) Doom/Doom II Star Fox (SNES) and Star Fox 64 Sonic Adventure Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X, Star Ocean 2 & 3 Legend of the Mystical Ninja (SNES) Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World, Super Mario Land, SMW2: Yoshi's Island, Super Mario 3D World Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Street Fighter II: Turbo TMNT IV: Turtles in Time (SNES) Mega Man X Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Final Fight, Knights of the Round, Dungeons & Dragons Arcade, and a ton of other side-scrolling beatemups. I miss these. Okay, more than a few.
  12. I only use "everypony" here on the forums and only for specific posts. Otherwise it's just "everybody."
  13. No space? You're gonna have to make some room, then. Next year, I'll have enough saved up by then.
  14. The latest 14.04 works really nicely on my laptop. The NVIDIA drivers just work, which is pretty awesome because I couldn't even get the last LTS to boot on this thing ( Lenovo y510p). I heard from a friend getting Linux to work on recent NVIDIA chips is a PITA and basically to just stick with Intel graphics, but not only does it work, it sees both GPUs as well. That's brilliant. I think the main reason I never switched over was being stuck without any sort of graphics acceleration among various other driver related issues, but it's been working great so far and boots up in... 7 seconds or so.
  15. I do. Unfortunately most of my time driving is spent stuck in traffic.
  16. Six quarts of Pennzoil Ultra 5W40 Euro and an oil filter. Yep.
  17. Just thought of something... Sharp edges on Apple laptops. Why? WHY. WHY LENOVO DID YOU CHOOSE TO COPY SHARP EDGES INSTEAD OF A DECENT TRACKPAD.
  18. Here's a screenshot from my laptop...
  19. Weeeeelll, alright. I'll stick around a little longer then. For science.
  20. Well, this seems right up your alley then: http://www.homesandhues.com/Glass-Box-Public-Toilet-Garden/ I'm spending way too much time in this topic...
  21. Bagel: Plain or egg with a cup of coffee, black. Maybe some cream cheese if I'm feeling adventurous. Donut: I guess they call them "old-fashioned donuts," cake donuts with an indented-ring shape, like a flying saucer. Yeah I dunno. They're awesome.
  22. I really despise hot weather.

I'm fine with half of that.

Well, if you ever come to Australia, I hope you don't come during summer. Summer in Australia makes the stereotype of us living in a desert feel true.

I will definitely keep that in mind, thank you.

  23. Glass toilet... OH GOD I BROKE THE TOILET IT'S GETTING EVERYWHERE
  24. I don't know how many others are in the same boat, but I'd sure like something in the middle of a low-end Mac Mini and a $3000 Mac Pro. I don't need a super-slim 27" integrated machine with soldered this and that and mobility graphics. It's gonna be sitting on my desk. Or maybe I'm just wishing that the Mac Pro started about a grand cheaper. Either way, some sort of a middle ground without a monitor attached would be pretty nice. I'd definitely consider one of those. In terms of phones, I have a Samsung at the moment but wouldn't mind switching to an iPhone if the screen size was upgraded a bit. So, that's probably coming up I'm reading. The battery life on the iPhone 4 I used previously was definitely a lot better than what I have now.
