There was ton of movie toys (and a creepy huge Twilighy robot). I guess Hasbro is most focused on the film right now. I did not notice there was diapers in 28 Pranks Later. Dissapointing. Sometimes I wonder have they just forgotten they need to age the Baby Cakes after so much time has passed in universe. Now that season 8 looks likely maybe we need to remind the directors on Twitter so they can realize the change the charcater models lol.

I think people will get used to charcater designs after while, at least enough that people go to the film open minded. There is always drama in the fandom about new things anyway, I don't know what the fandom would be without some doomsday reactions. But I feel the most vocal ones are just a small minority. But Hasbro needs to release the trailer soon, I want the film to be a box office success and they need to have strong marketing for it. I want more ponies too!

Since season 8 would have to be in the works before the movie even comes out I was pretty certain it would happen. Hasbro would not want to be in a situation where toy sales and interest soars due to the film and have nothing else pony to capitalize it. Studios don't end franchises to restart them. After previous one fails they wait a while and maybe find something to restart it years later. People should not be glamorous for G4 to end, it is not a automatic "G5 is around the corner" result.

The Breezies don't have them either. I suppose there was some magical event at some point which gave the unicorns, pegasi and earth ponies cutie marks since similar crevices lack them (but zebras apparently do have them or something similar?).

The Baby Cakes actually were out of diapers in season 6 and it looked like they were singing with the rest of the ponies in Hearth's Warming Tale. Progress! But the first time we saw them in On Your Marks they were in a crib and acting more baby like than ever...

If Celestial advice is not a Celestia episode it's Celestia level trolling. This would mean Starlight is in the episode too based in the DVD. I don't know how some people would react for the long awaited Celestia episode featuring heavily Starlight. Maybe Celestia asks Twilights help with something magic related maybe and Starlight comes along as a learning experience. The other one sound it could be about magic potions. Of emotions. But potions would be more interesting, maybe Zecora could co-star as well?

Scootaloo is going to have important enough role in the movie for toys? Well maybe they are just doing toys out if the usual cast even though they are barely in the film. The toys don't look the best but I think it's a good think that they start marketing toys early to create awareness for the film. I think it was poor decision not to have any teaser in from of Moana (but maybe nothing was ready them) since I don't know in front of what movie they are going to have a teaser. The rest of the animated films coming out this year don't seem that popular for the target demographic young girls and neither does the Lionsgate's Power Rangers.

The show does not need to be much darker. However not being afraid to address death would be nice. Sombra should have been mentioned to have died and some episode about Apple parents deaths should be there for example. But it's not a big deal.

Even then Crystal ponies are not fully chrystally usually. I feel this is animation issue more than anything, those forms might be harder to make.

Fluttershy is an adult even if younger than Discord. If that is wrong so would a relationship between Arwen and Aragorn. I just don't think it matters when both a physically mature in a work of fiction, these kind of relationships are not that uncommon, there is a tv tropes page even for this thing. Besides Discord was in stone for a thousand years so that does not count that much towards his age in natural way (even if he could hear people talking I assume he mostly was in some kind of a coma or the condition would be too terrible to even think). We don't know how old he was before cased in stone at all. And he certainly does act immature so it's not that kind of imbalanced relationship in comparing maturity like Celestia and practically anyone would be. Additionally since Discord can look anything he wants there is no species issue really. With Spike it has been said constantly that he is a baby dragon and he acts like it (even if he has matured some) and Rarity certainly treats him that way. Dragons clearly age differently than ponies. And there is a permanent species issue.

Most people don't follow other media than the show itself. And more importantly the fact that a charcater is not named is a sign of how that character is not that important for the show. So it would be please you more: "Do you think we will see a important Crystal pony charcater in the show? Someone with a plot relevance and who we will also see in future when we visit the city and is maybe becomes a friend with some of the characters?"

None have been named in the show.

The name issue is interesting, crystal based names sound interesting and possible. I wonder if they would have vaguely Latin or Greek sounding names based on the styles of hair and armor they use. Even Celestia and Luna have old fashioned names. Then again Commander Hurricane and Private Pansy from the past certainly did not and they were somewhat similarly dressed even if not from Crystal Empire. Neither did the other ponies form the past have any unusual names in that episode. I assume it was not middle of nowhere back when it was founded, it seems very old. It could have been the windigos that turned the are a frozen wasteland in the first place and the Empire solved it issue with the Crystal Heart when the other ponies were in trouble. I want more backstory! And it would be fun to see more Sunburst if it is not just him and no new chrystal pony characters.

Edgy is good I feel, it's new. Is she acts edgy too it would be too much or if there were lots of similar characters already it would be too much but trying new things is interesting.

i can see her being very adventurous and athletic despite her girly design which would be nice contrast (the image of her in armor above is great). She would be quite smart and well learned with some nerdy tendencies like reading comic books but less so than Twilight or even her father and be more collected and self confident. She could have some ego or spoiled tendencies or know-it-all attitude with her priviledged backround and talents but not too much with having been raised well by her parents. Who knows. But it would be kind of fun have her star in a spin off show and see what everyone is up to years later.

Is anyone else dissapointed we still don't have one with a name? The librarian is still the closest one for a Chrystal pony character. I feel it's a shame since they have such a wonderful design and interesting culture and backround. My wish is that there is a map episode in Crystal Empire since we should get charcaters that way. Maybe Rarity should go so she would get 3/3 out of places she loves lol. Some history episode would be even better but almost impossible that it would happen. Or Cadance/Shining Armour episode (but they could just end up chatting with Sunburst and some nameless Crystal Ponies anyway...) Do you think there should be more Crystal Ponies and do you think there will be some named character in the future?

It should have been over already. Hopefully the show does end it but they can be too keen on having it around for jokes. But it makes Rarity look selfish the way she is using him sometimes and he can't mature since the relationship can't so he is stuck being a kid with a crush instead of a teen that is attracted to someone. It would be a good Spike moment but I don't know how they would do it without dissapointing some people who like this (even though I assume there is not that many people there must be some). I don't want him just switch to Ember or something (even though I would not mind it it should be later and more subtle if it would happen). If Spike would just switch his crush object he would not look much more mature and Rarity fans might dislike it? I would just say Spike just once says no to when Rarity asks him to do something, in a casual manner and goes to play hoofball with Big Mac or something and after the crush is not mentioned again.

Since the film has been in works so long I don't think they would tie it to any season, the script for it was in works in such a long time ago. But maybe some mentions of the species we will see in the film? Unless they all are meant to be a suprise? Or some other small stuff. Anyway since some teaser might come out soon my top 10 wish list for season 7: 10. New designs for Baby Cakes. It's has been 3 Hearths Warming episodes since they were born and Flurry Heart looks older than them (well maybe it's because she is an alicorn). Let them have those eyes (and maybe even ones that Sweetie Belle and rest had in her birthday party flashback but smaller maybe). And have them talk. 9. Alicorn lore. Everyone loves alicorns, explore that more. Flurry Hearth's birth was mentioned as unique but not mentioned again, do it now. And still no in show mention of Cadance's origin, a picture book is all we have with her being a Pegasus originally and related to some Chrystal Princess originally. Mention it in the show and make it full canon, most don't even know of it. And Luna and Celestia's orginin etc. 8. Celestia episode. There is so much potential form the alicorn origins to episodes with Twilight, Luna, Discord etc. Should finally happen already. 7. Trixie episode. She has had a lot of spotlight but an episode with her the main star really could have a lot of potential. 6. Episode about zebras. I guess the show writers could be sick of magic Zecora rhyme since she has been silent for 2 seasons and no zebra land ever shown. But this could be a great map episode, either to zebra land itself or if it's too far for the map then to some zebra community somewhere in Equestria. I am not interested in Zecora herself however that much. 5. Some romance/Hearths and Hooves episode. There is nothing wrong with some romance even if I don't want it for Mane 6. I suggested a Cadance/Shining Armor episode in other thread where we could learn more of them as individuals and as a couple and see the Chrystal Empire more. Or we could have Starligh/Sunburst and give Starlight a reason to move away form Ponyville. 4. Give a solo to Sweetie Belle/Cadance/Shining Armor/Big Mac/Flutthershy or Twlight. Singing is in Sweetie Belle's cutie mark its a high time she gets a real solo, Cadance has maybe the best singing voice, I want the guys sing a but more, Fluttershy has not have a real solo about her, her songs were more about singing itself and Twlight has not have a song for a while in the show. 3. Show families of Rainbow Dash/Scootaloo/ or Apple parents. Or some other families of important charcaters l but these are really neened. Rainbow is the clear priority since she is one of mane 6 and we know nothing since one stallion with a rainbow mane is not really something you can count expecially when it was said that he is not her father. 2. New big villain. Chrysalis will return but there is the other two parter or she can team up with someone we are getting the movie but it has been a long time since we had new villains anyway. 1. Pinkie Pie/Fluttershy episode. 6 seasons by now how we still don't have it? A map episode or whatever it's high time they get proper screentime together.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Poop released in the 70s. That film was made of shorts that had been released previously which is why it had an episodic nature (and because it was based in a book with different stories). 2011 Winnie the Pooh tried to be like that film a bit for nostalgic reasons (the style with the book letters and such was similar too) and due to its book origins. It's not because it was a tv show or something, it's not a similar case to MLP. Of course since the mane 6 should be traveling to places it can have a episodic feel, but we can't know how the good the film is until we see it. The makers have said they are trying to make it as much a movie and not another episode as possible and even if you don't like Equestria Girls films they do have a more movie like structure and tone so they can do it.

Were they really toys first then characters in a show? Because I think even the G1 characters were made first and then merchandised. And some influences from toys for other generations.

Hopefully. But I don't think that the show cares much for romance, the Hearts and Hooves Day episode was a comedy one with a Emma type moral against matchmaking and the other romantic episodes; Canterlot Wedding and the two Cranky and Matilda episodes were more about the plot than anything (and the first one was due to Hasbro wanting it) and I can't think any really plot heavy Hearts and Hooves Day plot. But little romance is nice and it would be nice to see more of a existing holiday that we have. My idea for an episode would be a Shining Armor/Cadance one where they are super busy trying to arrange some traditional Crystal Empire version of Hears and Hooves day celebration (that has some added reasons we could learn and not just love poison) and taking care of Flurry Hearth that they have no time for each other. And maybe some flashbacks to how they met (or are they able to do that when they comics had some explanation already). And have a moral of making time for each other (romance is a type of friendship anyway, it can be framed that way). We could learn about their relationships and traditions of the holiday the same time. Not the most innovative plot I know but we barely see the pair of them that I don't think it needs to be that if the Crystal Empire holiday plot has something interesting to going on (like if we could get a Crustal pony with a name finally) or there is flashbacks. But I kind of think it won't happen. A new Nightmare Night episode seems more likely, there has been 2 to Hearths Warmings 3. And Hasbro probably likes Halloween themed episodes it can put on a DVD and market separedly. If we get Nightmare Night episode going back to the Castle of Two Sisters were the Pony of Shadows is a real thing or some kind of Daring Do episode that is related somehow to it would be my picks. I guess I am getting exited for the new season to write episode plans like this lol.

Just because you don't like th designs doesn't mean the film isn't canon.

I don't think any of the toy charcaters have even been the show right? So I don't think they would start with a movie, the designers for even the backround characters want to do their own thing.

Disney has 2 evil Queen charcaters and 2 main characters that are good ones and some minor mother charcaters. So I don't know why Disney is said to just have evil Queens. I think the Queen avoidance was just because princess charcaters are much more more desires in merchandicing, expecially after Disney princess line became a big thing in the early 00s. But now that Hasbro had plenty of princesses for marketing reasons they can do one Queen too, Skysar probably will get more marketing anyway.
