Nah, probably not. But I would like to see the relationship between Equestria and other nations like Saddle Arabia. I've also wondered how other sapient species feel about ponies. Because the ponies and Celestia and Luna seem to control a lot of things in the world. How do donkeys feel about that, for instance? Even animals like cows and sheep seem to be able to talk. Most of the hoofed animals on this show seem to be sapient and capable of talking and yet some live on farms. Are they happy living on farms? They seem to live in some symbiotic relationship; both exchanging services for each other. I think it would be cool to see some tensions between the ponies and other farm animals, like cows and sheep for instance. It could make for a good episode. I think we've already seen a bit of that theme before with the buffalo, yaks and the deer in the comics.

Do you mean the political opinions of the cast? I think they are allowed to express their political opinions and not like Donald Trump. Just as long as they don't say anything extreme like all Trump supporters are racist Nazis or whatever. And I haven't seen Lauren Faust or Tara Strong do anything like that.

I meant I don't want to see it done in CGI. lol But yeah, it could actually be pretty cool for Hasbro's IPs if Disney treat them well. I don't mind what Disney has done with stuff like Star Wars and Marvel. And I could actually see Disney acquiring these franchises because their toys make a lot of money.

Yeah, I really hope they don't make G5 in CGI. I hate how almost everything is CGI animated these days. And CGI often looks terrible if it's done cheaply. I much prefer traditional 2D animation, anyway. Isn't it possible that Hasbro themselves could be bought out if someone paid them enough? I could see a conglomerate corporation like Disney buying them out if they wanted to.

Storm King might be MLP's best villain yet

Well, maybe not that specific artist's style. Although I don't think it's too bad to be honest. I probably should have just posted something out of a classic Disney movie. Like Hercules or something. Basically slightly more realistic with a classical "hand-drawn" quality. Or maybe they could go more towards the G1/G2 art style. I do like G4's art style, though. What they've accomplished in flash is incredible.

I think Disney buying Hasbro would be pretty cool. That way we could get an awesome soft reboot called Pony Wars: The Friendship Awakens. But really, I doubt they would reboot FiM specifically. They would probably continue it as it is for a while (just like Star Wars: The Clone Wars after Disney bought Lucasfilm) and then create My Little Pony G5 after G4 is retired. I would watch it if was of similar quality to FiM. Maybe they would give it an art style more akin to classical Disney movies. That could actually be pretty cool.

too many redemptions in the show?
Tiny Hoofs replied to Unlikeable Pony's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I think the show is very hopeful in that it portrays almost anybody as capable of redemption, provided that they put effort into bettering themselves. So I don't have that much of a problem with the amount of redemption arcs. I very much agree with its philosophy that punishment should be first and foremost about redeeming somebody and deterring them from future crimes. But I still think some characters should reject the chance to better themselves; because a lot of people ultimately do not want to atone for their transgressions. Recidivism is a real problem. I'm in favour of redeeming characters like Discord and Starlight Glimmer because they contribute a lot to the show as good guys (or anti-heroes at best), but I wouldn't redeem Tirek or King Sombra. Then again, a story arc in which Tirek reconnects with his brother Scorpan might be pretty cool.- 52 replies

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/election-2017-40171454 Ecstatic! I'm really happy with the UK election result. I voted Labour, and I'm really happy to see Corbyn did well! I'm so happy we didn't get a Tory landslide. I also got a 90% on Phylogenetics report for Evolutionary Biology. That's the highest grade I've got all year. I wrote an eight page report on Bornean and Sumatran orangutans based off of a phylogenetic study I did using a genetic dataset from the nad5 gene. It was an interesting assignment.

Yes, I don't like killing anything. If there's every a huge bug or spider, I never have the heart to squish it. I usually put it outside or somewhere away from me.
-
I wouldn't mind that. But I think they could make use of an existing character instead. Maybe somebody like Gilda or even Starlight Glimmer. Starlight's transition into a good guy was a tad rushed, in my opinion. I suppose Discord could count as an anti-hero sometimes because his heart is often in the right place but he can still be brazenly selfish from time to time. I would also like more G1 elements. It's one of the best MLP generations!

Are you embarrassed to play videogames in public?
Tiny Hoofs replied to jackleapp81's topic in General Discussion
I don't actually own any handheld consoles myself, but I've never understood why it's supposedly embarrassing to play them in public. These days it's pretty much common knowledge that video games aren't just for little kids. And all devices like the 3DS, PSP and even mobile phones offer a wide-range of games. And as long as you use headphones to avoid distracting people, there's nothing rude about it. -
Yeah, being a furry isn't that different from being a brony. Bronies like a show outside of their intended demographic about talking cartoon horses, while furries like talking animals in general and create their own characters. There's nothing that offensive or weird about them. And neither bronies nor furries are inherently creepy or mean, from my own personal experience. You can find a sexual component and objectionable content in both fandoms, but that's inevitable in a lot of ways because we're on the internet. Just look at all the sonic and anime fandoms. Porn is out there for those that like it, but it's not an essential part of being a furry, brony, otaku or whatever. I think people should just layoff from harshly judging people if their interests don't cause anybody harm.

What would manly stallions call a cutie mark?
Tiny Hoofs replied to Bendy's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I think it's a gender neutral term in pony culture. So there's probably no need for masculine terms for a cutie mark. It just doesn't seem necessary. But if they ever needed one, I think "Brand" or "Talent Tag" best describes them. But I doubt they will. The entire show has never reinforced traditional gender roles that strongly before. That was never Lauren Faust's vision when she started the show. -
The 4chan cup is actually pretty interesting to watch. It's way more interesting than professional football/soccer. Just watched /mlp/ vs /pol/. Shame /mlp/ lost to /pol/, though.

Well, if liking anthropomorphic animals alone makes you a furry, then you could consider bronies to be a subset of furries. But I think that's too liberal of a way to define furies. You could probably put Sonic fans and most cartoon enthusiasts in general under the furry banner if you defined furies that way. Rather than define a collection of unrelated fandoms by something as vague as an interest in talking animals, it's better to define fandoms in terms of their interests, culture and habits. Furries can be distinguished from furries in that they typically create all of their own content and characters, while bronies follow a specific TV series and create content based around that. Interests like cosplay and conventions are prominent in both fandoms, but there's still also some pronounced differences in the culture of each communities. Different memes, jokes and content creators for instance. They have different origins as well. So it isn't exactly fair to group bronies into a fandom they might not understand or have no interest in. That isn't to say there isn't any overlap. Due to the similar interests of bronies and furries, a lot of furries tend to be bronies and bronies are sometimes also furries. For example, at least a quarter of furries also identify as bronies. So as both a furry and a brony, I'd say that bronies aren't inherently furries.
